Keeping the ROI in mind, and in terms of placement, alumni network, etc B.tech CSE is the best branch amongst all at IIT KGP, however if you are getting admission to any other branch too during counselling, you can opt for branch change which will depend on your CG in the first year and also the availability of seats in the target branch.
As per the previous general category cutoff analysis, the last two-year cutoff was 733 in GATE for the Mtech in VLSI. IIT Kharagpur, GATE Cutoff 2023 for OBC Category is 654, and for the year 2022 was 658 for MTech in VLSI. IIT Kharagpur, GATE Cutoff 2023 for the EWS Category is 665, and for the year 2022 was 691 for MTech in VLSI. IIT Kharagpur, GATE Cutoff 2023 for SC Category is 522, and for the year 2022 was 604 for MTech in VLSI.
