VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur has started MBA 2026 admissions through CAT 2025 for the 2026–28 batch.

IIT Kharagpur MBA Admission 2026 Started Based on CAT 2025

The Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) at IIT Kharagpur has opened applications for its MBA 2026–28 programme. Admissions will be conducted through CAT 2025, followed by an institute-level selection process. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official admission portal.

The selection involves shortlisting for the interview round based on CAT performance and academic profile, after which final offers will be issued. Applicants should carefully review eligibility requirements and deadlines, as the institute follows a strict admission timeline for the upcoming academic session.

The two-year full-time MBA at VGSoM is open to candidates applying through CAT 2025 scores. Applications are being accepted online only.

Shortlisting for the Personal Interview (PI) round is based on CAT percentile, academic background, and application rating.

Final admission offers are prepared using a composite score, which includes CAT performance, PI score, and application rating.

Candidates must hold a minimum four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Pharmacy, or a Master’s degree in Science, Economics, or Commerce, provided Mathematics or Statistics was studied at the undergraduate level. Minimum marks required are:

  • General / EWS / OBC: 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (out of 10)
  • SC / ST / PwD: 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA (out of 10)

Final-year students are also eligible to apply, subject to submitting proof of degree completion within the prescribed timeline.

VGSoM follows a two-stage selection process. In the first stage, applicants are shortlisted for the interview round based on CAT score and academic profile. In the second stage, candidates are evaluated on their overall performance in the interview and application rating.

As per the institute’s official admission note, final selection is based on cumulative performance, ensuring a balanced assessment beyond entrance test scores.
