As a student of IIT Kharagpur we pay 100000/ rupees as tution fee along with 66000 hostel fees which include 14000 mess fee per semester. Person with disability SC and ST students are exempted from paying tution fee, and a student is asked to submit income certificate to avail fee waiver it can vary from 50% to 100% depending upon students family income. student can apply for any private or government scholarship they are eligible in and institue also provides some scholarship through ERP.

Tution fees per semester: 1,00,000 Hostel Management fees per semester: 45,000 For SC/ST students, tution fees is waived off For General/OBC students with family income less than 5,00,000 ; 2/3 rd fraction of tution fees is waived off. Scholarships: Merit Cum Means scholarship: Students whose family income is less than 6,00,000 and maintain an CGPA of greater than 7.0 are eligible for this scholarship, where tuition fees is reumbursed and a monthly allowance of 1000 is paid for the whole year. (Students once applied in the first year need to apply for renewal every year once the scholarship portal opens)

IIT Kharagpur, a fresh start to your life!

For the first year, fees will be around 2 lakh for tuiton fees, hostel fees is around 30 thousand per year, mess fees is around 15 thousand per year. There is a one time payment when you complete josaa which is around 50 thousand, it gets deducted in your 1st year fees. Fees for SC and ST students is less than general, and there are many monitary benifts given to people with less anual income. If you are below 10 thousand rank for jee advanced, you can also get inspire scholarship which gets you around 60 thousand per year, for it to continue you need atleast 7 cgpa in the 1st year. The price for 1st year will be higher than the rest usually. There is also other charges like library charges which is included, hall mnagement charges, some deposit for hostel caution, etc.

Academic curriculum is tough and managing your academics and extra curricular activities at the same time, sometimes become very hectic.
Since curriculum is tough, you get really less time for doing other activities, which you want to do.

The year wise fee, is around 2.5 lakhs including hostel and mess fees. There are a number of scholarship provided by institution for economically weak or needy students. Those students want to opt scholarship can directly fill the form if they are merit for it. Fee structure remain same and does not increase.

The fee structure is very transparent and reasonable. Numerous scholarships are available for students helping them financially. The banks are also very supportive of students by offering education loans at lower interest rates. We do not need to work part-time.

Best engineering college

it takes total of 1,00,000 rupees tuition fee per semester for genrals and for me ,as my family income i less than 5,00,000,it takes 33,333 rupees per semester from me. mess fee and hostel fee is same for everyone which is about 32,000-50,000. there are scholarship which are helpfull for students and also greater financial assistance.but according to my opinion the fee structure balanced by their top facilities.

The fee structure is decided into 3 forms First is tution fee it is 1 lakh and another is mess and hostel fee there is 50,000 this is for each semester in a year we give 3 lakhs. In SC St category there is no tution fee and some tution fee relaif by income certificate
