IIT Kharagpur Launches Online AI, ML Certificate Courses for Working Professionals

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has launched a new series of online executive certificate programmes in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and tech leadership for working professionals. The programmes are designed to equip engineers and technology professionals with practical, job-relevant skills in Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), aligned with real workforce needs. The courses will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining online learning with select in-person sessions.

The certificate programmes are targeted at mid-career professionals and engineers looking to upskill in emerging technologies. As per the official announcement, the curriculum has been developed with insights from industry requirements, ensuring that the content is directly applicable to current workplace challenges. The programmes will be offered through the IIT Kharagpur online learning platform.

This is an 8-month programme conducted fully online through live sessions, with the batch scheduled to begin on May 30, 2026.
