VITEEE Counselling 2026 Begins @vit.ac.in; Phase 1 Choice Filling from May 11

VIT Vellore has officially commenced VITEEE Counselling 2026 for undergraduate engineering admissions. Phase 1 counselling for candidates ranked 1 to 20,000 begins with registration and fee payment by May 11, 2026. Candidates must complete choice filling between May 12 and May 13 to participate in seat allotment.

VIT Vellore earlier released VITEEE 2026 results on May 8, 2026 @vit.ac.in. Candidates can download their scorecards using their application number and password.

The counselling process is merit-based and conducted entirely online. Qualified candidates can register on the official portal using their VITEEE application number and password. A non-refundable counselling fee of Rs. 5,900 must be paid during registration, which will be adjusted in the tuition fee later.

• Candidates with a rank under 1 lakh are eligible for counselling across all four VIT campuses. 
• Those with ranks above 1 lakh can participate in counselling for VIT Bhopal and VIT-AP only.
• Candidates who attempted Biology in VITEEE are eligible only for specific programs like Biotechnology, Health Sciences, and Bioengineering.

VITEEE 2026 Counselling Schedule Phase-Wise

Candidates must register on the official VITEEE counselling portal at ugresults.vit.ac.in/viteee/ using their application number and password. The registration process requires payment of the non-refundable counselling fee through online mode only.

During choice filling, candidates can select their preferred campus (Vellore, Chennai, AP, or Bhopal), branch, and fee category. VIT offers over 20 B.Tech specializations across four campuses. Candidates should prioritize their choices carefully as allotment is final and cannot be changed after confirmation.

How to Register for VITEEE 2026 Counselling?

• Visit the official VITEEE counselling portal and log in with your application number and password.
• Click on the registration option and pay the Rs. 5,900 counselling fee through net banking, credit card, or debit card.
• Once payment is confirmed, you can proceed to fill your choice preferences.

How to Fill Choices in VITEEE 2026 Counselling?

• After registration, candidates can access the choice filling portal.
• Select your preferred campus first, then choose your desired branch and specialization.
• You can add multiple options in order of preference.
• The system allows candidates to fill as many combinations as they wish before the deadline.

Documents Required for VITEEE 2026 Counselling

Candidates must carry original documents at the time of reporting to the allocated campus. Required documents include-

• the Provisional Admission Letter,
• VITEEE admit card,
• Counselling Letter,
• VITEEE Result Scorecard,
• Class 10 board certificate,
• Qualifying exam mark sheets,
• transfer certificate,
• migration certificate (if applicable),
• community certificate (for SC/ST candidates), and
• four recent passport-sized photographs.

VITEEE 2026 Seat Allotment

VITEEE 2026 Seat allotment will be announced within 2-3 days after choice locking. Candidates must accept their allotted seat and pay the full tuition fee within the specified deadline. VIT offers five fee categories based on candidate preferences and rank. Category 1 has the lowest fees, while Category 5 has the highest fees for the same branch.

What Happens After Seat Allotment

VIT does not offer management quota or direct admission; all admissions are strictly merit-based through VITEEE ranking. After seat allotment and fee payment, candidates will receive their admission confirmation. Candidates who miss their phase can participate in subsequent phases if seats remain available.

The branch, campus, and fee category allotment is final and cannot be changed under any circumstances. Candidates must report to classes within 7 days from the commencement date, or their admission will be automatically cancelled.
