The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) announced Madhyamik Class 10 results on May 8, 2026, with 9,71,340 students appearing across 2,682 schools. Abhirup Bhadra from Uttar Dinajpur topped with 99.71% and 698 marks.

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) announced the Madhyamik Class 10 results on May 8, 2026. Students can access their marksheets on wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in using their roll number and date of birth.

The examination witnessed participation from 9,71,340 students across West Bengal. The board conducted exams in 2,682 schools, comprising 945 actual examination centres and 1,737 sub-centres throughout the state.

Abhirup Bhadra from Uttar Dinajpur secured rank 1 with 698 marks and 99.71% score. Priyatosh Mukherjee from Birbhum ranked second with 696 marks and 99.43% percentage. Three candidates jointly secured rank 3: Ankan Kumar Jana and Mainak Mandal.

A total of 131 students featured in the top 10 merit list across 19 districts. Among these achievers, 103 were male students and 28 were female students, reflecting gender distribution in high performance.

Online marksheets are provisional and must be verified carefully before use. The marksheet includes candidate name, roll number, school name, date of birth, subject-wise marks, aggregate marks, grade, and pass/fail status.

Passing Criteria and Exam Format

To pass the Madhyamik examination, students must secure a minimum of 33% in each subject. Additionally, students need 33% in the aggregate of all subjects to qualify for promotion to Class 11.

Each theory paper was held for 3 hours 15 minutes, including 15 minutes of reading time. Total marks per subject is 100, split between 90 for theory and 10 for internal assessment, with 800 total marks across all subjects.

Compartment Examination for Failed Students

Students who failed in one or two subjects must contact their school immediately to begin compartment exam registration. The compartment examination for Madhyamik 2026 is likely to be conducted in July 2026.
