Institute scholarships are the type of fee waiver programs that are awarded from the Institute funds. There are awarded on the basis of merit-cum-means to all eligible students. The students eligible for the Institute scholarship at IIT Kharagpur are 4-year BTech (Hons), 5-year Dual Degree, 5-year BArch (Hons.) and 5-year Integrated MSc courses and 4-year BS program, except the students belonging to SC and ST (who are eligible for Post-Matric Scholarship). The students who fulfill the conditions after this appearance shall be eligible for the award of the Merit-Cum-Means (MCM) scholarship. These scholarships will be offered to no more than 25% of students admitted to Undergraduate and Dual Degree programs each year. The Board of Governors will decide on the monetary worth of these scholarships from time to time. There will be an exemption from paying Institute tuition for all recipients of the MCM scholarship.
Endowments and Alumni Funded scholarships are the scholarships that are awarded through endowment funds. To be eligible for this scholarship the term best student or the student who has secured the highest CGPA in the immediately preceding semester amongst all the students of the same batch.
Under the IIT Kharagpur Foundation (IITKGPF) of USA offers an Award Program for International Internships, supporting meritorious students across Bachelor's and Master's levels as well as various Departments/Schools/Centers each year. Awardees are chosen based on factors such as the quality of the host institution/company, the proposed research, and the academic standing of the applicant. The award ranges from USD 3000-5000 and is managed directly by IITKGPF. However, awardees may need to secure additional funding if necessary.
The final approval for the award is subject to completion of the internship and return to the Institute before the start of the Autumn Semester. The GKF is a postgraduate Scholarship for International Students, under which they support meritorious self-funded international students of Postgraduate level across all disciplines in the form of awarding scholarships. They offer a scholarship amount worth INR 25,000 per month to cover tuition fees, hostel/accommodation charges, mess charges, and living expenses. The award is based on the academic excellence of the candidate and should not have any disciplinary action taken against him/her during a stay at IIT Kharagpur. The CGPA must be at least 8.5 with no backlog in any subject. The student is not a recipient of any financial support from the Institute or outside sponsor. Bonafide students who wish to avail of the scholarship should apply against the call released by the Office of International Relations by filling up the form. The call is released normally in January every year.

Australian National University Future Research Talent (FRT) Award: The FRT is a competitive and prestigious program attracting the most meritorious students from the best and top Indian institutions. Warwick Manufacturing Group: WMG annually invites the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur to select a small number of students to attend a short course for 8 weeks (UG) and 11 weeks (PG) at the University of Warwick. Events take place either virtually or on-site. Participants will carry out an individual research project that is related to the degree course for which they are registered. For the first year, fees will be around 2 lakh for tuiton fees, hostel fees is around 30 thousand per year, mess fees is around 15 thousand per year. There is a one time payment when you complete josaa which is around 50 thousand, it gets deducted in your 1st year fees. Fees for SC and ST students is less than general, and there are many monitary benifts given to people with less anual income. If you are below 10 thousand rank for jee advanced, you can also get inspire scholarship which gets you around 60 thousand per year, for it to continue you need atleast 7 cgpa in the 1st year. The price for 1st year will be higher than the rest usually. There is also other charges like library charges which is included, hall mnagement charges, some deposit for hostel caution, etc.

I am a general student so I pay around 3 lakh a year. 2 lakh is tuition and around 1 lakh is hostel fee for a year(which is 2 semesters). SC/ST students dont have to pay any tuition fee and only need to pay the hostel fee. If the family income is less than 5 lakh then you have to pay only 33 thousand as tuition fee and it the income is less than 1 lakh then you have to pay no tuition fee at all. There are various scholarships for underprivilaged students, like MCM(merit cum means), and various other scholarships based on departments and family income.

Fees for all the IITs is same as it is around 3.6 lakhs a year. 2 lakhs is the tuition fee and since IIT is a residntial campus 60k is for hostel fees and rest all ar mess fees and other charges. Merit based scholarships up to 25% to merit based students.

Tution Fee for every semester is Rs.1,00,000/- for any department or any year. All other hostel and convenience fee sum up to around 40-50k per semester. There are numerous scholarship opportunities for students. Also the institute provides financial aid upon submission of family income documents. Families below 1,00,000/- income get total fee reimbursement. Families below 5,00,000/- get 66% fee reimbursement.

The fees for the first semester is 1.5 lacs which includes some one time charges , after that every alternate semester (Spring-1.2lacs and Autumn - 1.4 lacs alternatley). The overall fees depends on the hostel because every hostel has some different charges according to their hall budget decided every year and mess addon charges are also added . Tution fees is 1 lac rupees and hostel fees is 15 thousand on average . There is no tution fees for SC/ST candidates and they only have to pay hostel fees which is around 15 thousand and other charges of gymkhana , internet , hostel maintenance , overhead charges which consitute overall 30-35k rupees . There are various scholarships for students including merit cum means scholarship for economically weak and backward classes . The process is simple and every year all students are informed of openings , amount of scholarship varies from 50000 to 80,000 depending on the conditions .

The Fees is catorized in 3 different parts. 1st is Tution Fees, which is 1 lakh for General Category Students and For SC,ST or OBC students Tution Fee is zero. 2nd is Hostel Fees, which is around 8500 rs which is for all the category students. 3rd is Mess fees which changes on Hostel to hostel and is around 32 thousand plus. Everything combines comes near 1 lakh 50 thousand, all fees is per semester.

The fees include Tuition Hostel and mess fees and some overheads. The fees for general category is 149000 including all expenses. There are several fees benefits for EWS category and tuition fees for general is 100000 whereas tuition fees for family whose annual income is less than 500000 there are some reductions. HMCFees is 36500 and there are no fees reduction in HMCFEES.

I have paid 100000 fee for one semester. There are several scholarships for General, OBC and ST/SCs like MCM(Merit-cum-Means Scholarship). This Scholarship contains 1. If your family annual income is less than 5 lakhs Then you are eligible for 66% scholarship of the total tution fee 2.If your family income is less than 1 lakhs Then you are eligible for 100%scholarship. Some of my friends have paid only 33000 for one semester.

The fees structure is very balanced between tution fees and hostel fees.for general and category there is fees scholarship on the basis of family income,and for sc,st there is no tution fees , there is merit cum scholarship that is accessible though ERP login ,for one semester fees is approx 1.5 lakhs

MBA= 2years, fees around 10-12 lakhs rupees. IIT Kharagpur offers various scholarships to its students, including;- 1.
