- JEE Main 2025 exam dates have been announced for the January Session. The exam is scheduled from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Students seeking admission to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Planning courses can apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 22, 2024. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2025 (conducted for engineering admission to IITs).

- I like the infrastructure of my college , largest campus in india.
- Faculty are very good they help us a lot.

- Nothing to dislike, i like everything in my college.
- some times the mess food , but it's alright.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Total tuition fees of an year means for two semester is 200000 and hostel and mess fees around 80000. For sc , st student the tuition is free of cost and for other student there are some scholarship based on their family income.

- I like the culture here. And also I like the societies here there are different societies for different kind of people
- I like the college campus it is the biggest IIT and also one of the oldest IITs.I like the greenary inside the campus
Dislikes
- Actually there are no big cities near Kharagpur. The nearest big city is kolkata which is 200-300 kms away from our campus we have to catch the local train.I mean we don't have any tourist attractions to visit on the holidays
- We have to travel more to any other IITs for their fests for example it takes about 24 hours to reach Delhi, 25 hours to reach IIT Hyderabad,30 hours to reach IIT Bombay. It makes us to stick to our campus
Fees and Financial Aid:
Per each semester they charge one lakh rupees as tution fee. So per two semesters two lakh rupees. Other expenses like hostel food wifi electricity etc they charge about 50 thousand to one lakh per year. So per year fee is 2.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs I will rate it 6 out of 10 in affordability because many other IIT in the same range are affordable then this. I think there is a few waiver for category people (SC-ST-Physically disabled). They don't need to pay the tution fee so remaining fee i.e., 50k -1 lakh is enough for each year

- I liked the campus very much.It is so big and beautiful that I cannot even describe in words.
- I also liked the greenery of the campus.
Dislikes
- Washing machines in our hall are not in a very good condition.
- Some bathrooms does not even have a hanger.
Fees and Financial Aid:
I am currently paying 313500 per year as total fees but will be paying 180168 per year after the verification of the income related documents.The tuition fees is 200000 per year and caution fees is refundable and 6000 as one time fees.Registration fee is 800 per year.Lab fees is 1600 per year.Other one time non refundable charges makes upto 5700.Insurance premium is 2500 per year and student's botherhood fund is 200 per year. SC, ST and students other than SC, ST having family income less than 100000 gets a full tuition fee waiver and students having family income between 100000and 500000 will get a two third tuition fee waiver.In merit cum means scholarship students get a hundred percent tuition fees waiver and monthly 1000 rupees.
Likes
- The campus is very beautiful and it has a green environment. There are a lot of places to roam around.
- The sports facilities are very good with two football and two cricket grounds. Also there are basketball , volleyball courts, hockey ground,etc. It has a large olympics size jnan ghosh auditorium for track and field events.
Dislikes
- The Nalanda classroom complex is very far from hall and it is very tiresome to go there via cycles.
- The cost of common things are slightly high than normal inside the campus.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The amount of fees which I paid in this semester is Rs.156750. The tuition fees is Rs.100000 and the caution fees is Rs.6000. I have to pay Rs.35000 during JOSAA counselling for seat acceptance fees. This fees would be adjusted in the total fees later after admission. The lab fees is Rs.800. There is a hall establishment fees of Rs. 20130 and mess fees of Rs.4000 per semester.

Dislikes
- Gender Imbalance, IIT Kharagpur has a skewed gender ratio, with a significantly higher number of male students compared to female students. Kharagpur the town where IIT is located is relatively remote compared to other major cities in India.
Fees and Financial Aid:
Tution Fee: 1 Lakh per semester Hostel and Mess fees and others: around 45 thousand per semester There are several scholarships, but MCM(Merit cum Means is most famous one and is provided to many students) MCM Scholarship:1000/ month and Reimbersement of Complete tuition fee For application of MCM one should maintain 7+ SGPA in every semester and has income less than 4lakhs

- I liked the campus very much it has a lot of greenery.
- The infrastructure is very good. The facilities offered are vast and top notch.
Dislikes
- The course content is a bit outdated and more focused on theory.
- I did not like the food in the mess. The quality of the food is average.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure is very good. The total fee per year is Rs300000. 200000 is tuition fee and 100000 is hostel, mess and other fees. Scholarship are available for students whose family income is less than 6 lakh per annum. Scholarships are also available for some branch toppers.

- I like mess food in lal bahdur hall of residence and enjoyed college environment with friends and did alot of memories in starting days,and I like more nallada campus for class rooms and well equipped labs with highly educated professors and TA
- I went to college in starting days professors are well educated and with full of subjects knowledge,they teach very well and provide tutorial for students,and clear the doubts of students
Dislikes
- After completion of one month the mess I don't like because am from South India we are eat full of spicy but North Indian Ara not eat much more of spicy,so I didn't loke mess food
- Near by hijili railway station always make noises around the college there is lot of railway tracks are there and the city in foyer of college main gate there is dirty and make alot of bad smells
Fees and Financial Aid:
Fee is very less for reserved students and high for non reserved students,for non reserved students pay nearly 1,32,000 per semester and reserved students pay just 32,000 the government pay reimbursement for category students,1 lakh for tuition fee for semester and remaining 32k per hostel fees. There is lot of scholarships are provided in college and alot of private scholarship is there.

- Campus, its greenery all around. We are always connected to nature.
- Culture over herebis so great. No ragging takes place.
Dislikes
- Campus is to big, sometimes we get physicaly drained.
- No outside life, nothing to enjoy out no puns no clubs.

Fees is quite high, but scholarships are provided to students in need but ig we have to submit proper documents in the proper time to avail it. I have no much idea about the stipend given, it's only for the MTech and PhD scholars here

- The atmosphere in our college is really good. The greenery here makes the campus really beautiful and charming.
- The societies here are really good. Students get to learn a lot and they make very good friends and connections.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the quality of food that we get in our hostel mess.
- The hostels in the campus must be re-innovated. They are pretty old.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The course that I choose is for 5 years. It is a dual degree program. I will be getting B.Tech and an M.Tech certificate. There are 10 semesters in total in my course. The fees is Rs. 1,50,000 per semester. In total it costs around 15 lakhs per annum. My parents are paying my fees currently. But I am planning to apply for an educational loan from my 3rd semester.
