There are ups and downs in every Institute; it just takes time to adapt yourself to such situations. It is true that some professors overdo it and push you to the extreme, but if you look at this in a positive manner, it’s their pushing that eventually helps you succeed. There are many seniors who might make fun of your tiny efforts in the labs but trust me, today when they will look back, they will surely be regretting the time they wasted watching movies or series. The labs are old-fashioned and lack much activity in contrast to a SigNet lab/ Power Systems lab. Curriculum: The primary aim of the course curriculum offered in Electrical Engineering at IIT KGP is to impart to students tools and skills that will make it possible for them to excel in departments such as Electronics, Communication, Computers, Aerospace, and Energy. Job prospects: An important point to note is that Electrical Engineering does not prepare you for a job but for higher education in the respective areas. IIT Kharagpur follows a semester wise system and the semester fee is around INR 152000/- Sometimes the total fee depends of the Hall budget that keeps Changing and varies from Hall to Hall. If i break down the overall fee stucture then we pay a tution fee for INR 100000 and around 14000 as mess charges and 32000 for Hostels in every semester. Institute provides tution fee wavier for SC/ST and students with less income. institute also provides financial suppport through various scholarship.

The fees are also highly subsidised for students, especially for those belonging to economically weaker sections, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and other backwards classes (OBC). For SC ST students fee may be 40,000 to 50,000 per semister and Overall, the approximate fee paid per semester by a general or OBC student comes to 50,000 to 55,000 per semister.

IIT Kharagpur Experience: Academics, Culture, and Beyond

In two years total fees around 2 lakh. In first sem it's much ,later it becomes little less.each sem approx fees is 50k .for reserved candidates their tution fees are waived. In mtech you will get 12400 each month in the two year tenure.their are certain others scholarship but you have to apply seperately for that. Like daad and some institute scholarship.

You can Learn life if you pursue M.tech -- trust me from all aspects.

Yearly 120000 40000 is tuition fee and rest is Hostel fee No scholorship is available here. There are many students here SC,ST,EWS, general. There are some scholoship available for those who want to purues P.hd , here it is named as DAARD scholoship. when your CG is more than 8.5 then you are eligible to pursue for higher education in Germany.

This is the best college. It's an IIT and the fees is too less. You'll get good resources, internships and placements. You'll get scholarship cum stipend of 12400 every month. The over-all rating of this college would be 10/10

The yearly fees i have given to this institutions is around 1 lakhs and 6 thousands in course of master of technology in material science and engineering in which the tuition fees is around 12000,caution fees of 6000 lab fees of 2000.For categories like sc/st the fees structure reduces by 5-6 thousand. I got the mhrd scholarship amounting 12400 per month

In first year it took 58 thousand rupees in first semester and 42 thousand rupees in second semester. In 2nd year it took 39 thousand rupees in first year and 45 thousand rupees in second year so in total around 2 lakh.

IIT KGP is a different universe!!

IIT KGP is only for scholars and fees is also in check. For Engineering along with hostel fees all i pay is 2.8 lakhs a year. Reservation schemes, sports quota scheme and likewise innumerable scholarships are available. One can check the scholarships circular on college website or there is a cell for it and people working there are very kind and helpful.
