- All the big brands and big tech giants come to the campus for great opportunity opportunity for students you can apply for placements from the fifth semester itself.
- College provides a lot of scholarships like merit cum means scholarship, inspire scholarship, and fee waiver scheme.
- The faculty members are really good as they are great researchers in their respective fields.
Dislikes
- But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like nsp.
- The hostel rooms are also not good enough and lack cleanliness sometimes and have broken chairs/ tables, etc. at times.
- The academic workload can be sometimes demanding, not always but sometimes, leading to stress and pressure among students.

- In our college, gender ratio is about 1:4

After 7 semesters students are eligible to sit in placement exams. Approx. 350-400 company visit our college for recruitment. Highest package of 2024-25 session is 2.18 crore and maintaining of a average package of 18LPA .

- Campus is amazing, green and vast. Halls are also good and connectivity is amazing. Only cycles are allowed for undergraduate students.
- There is not any positive point as such, but the culture is hostels and student organisations should be revived. It was better before Covid and it is still becoming better like before.
- Students are free for their choices, there are various societies to make the student ready for being like their idol and also this improves their skills and personality.
Dislikes
- There is nothing much to be disliked about, But the companies here which came for placement and internship has provided less packages in the year 2023 but this was because of the recession which was going on worldwide.
- Architecture department is loaded, the third year is very hectic and if you are in any society or student organisations, it will surely affect your CGPA
- Other than that, everyone here is improving himself/herself which is a good point. The bad point is the boy is to girl ratio is not very good
Placement Experience:
Around 70 percent students here opt for placements, others might go for Higher studies or for business/startups.
This number might decrease this year and within next few years as the Startup craze is increasing in students

- I liked the harmony in the campus as it is surrounded by greenery, bonding between kgpians is fantastic.
- consistent support from the seniors is outstanding as they set up meetings with freshers. they teach us the culture of IITKGP.
- campus is extremely large. it has nice infrastructure. buildings are very good, especailly the main building is iconic.
Dislikes
- I am pure vegetarian and we (students both veg and non veg) have our meal in same area.
- places which are outside the campus is like a village only. It does not contain any malls,cafe etc.
- sometimes, normal days like mondays to fridays are very loaded such that we feel very stressful, headache, etc.

so if we talk about placements, then its currently not good but it does not means that placement is totally zero . it varies every year but currently its going down. so after 3rd year you can apply for internships and placements . and if you are in 1st or 2nd year then you can apply for free or paid internships to learn more and more to build you cv. Highest package offered was 2.68 crore rupees per annum and average package is around 18 - 20 lakhs rupees per annum. companies participated in last session was 61 and total offers made were 700. number of international offers were 19 (6 offers were more than 1 crore per annum). number of students placed in 2023 were 1750. popular recruiters were ITC limited, goldman, sachs, HUL . so those who dont get any job or they are not placed , they basically continue to become enterpreneur. my plans after completing my degree to become a famous architect.

- I like the infrastructure of this college they gave us 1960s vibe.
- This campus is so beautiful. You can roam here without anythin.
- Seniors of this college are very good except some seniors.
Dislikes
- This campus is so huge. And they don't allow us to carry motorbik.
- In this college many people smoke and do illegal things.
- Sometimes senior can ruin you by just their experience.
Placement Experience:
For a one-year course you can apply for placement in 6th semester and five a five-year course you can apply in the 8th semester. In our college, more than 500+ companies come for recruitment. Everyone does here it or software.
