I chose this college specifically because I love chemistry as a subject but also because it's an IIT. I applied for other colleges even got the approval for certain private colleges, but I rejected them as their fee structure was not compatible for me and my family. I didn't get rejected for colleges but I got rejected for certain branches since I couldn't score much. I mostly applied for other lower IITs. For admission you need to clear JEE advanced exam and get more than 75% in your 12th boards. There are multiple ways to get into this college like JAM exam and when this college will start with its MBBS course, the medical exams will also open up.

I chose this college beacuse my jEE rank allowed me to take it. I wanted CSE branch and i couldnt get it in any other better IIT like bombay or delhi therefore i chose this one. You need to qualify the JEE advanced exam and then sit in the josaa councelling where you will get your college based on you JEE rank. the cutoff for CSE department in my college was aroung 650 all india rank.

IIT Kharagpur is one of the oldest IITs with a rich legacy, often ranking highly among engineering colleges in India. Why would anyone choose any other college over it. Admission process was through exams - JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED.

I applied for Vellore Institute of Technology , Vellore and I got admission in its IT Branch but I dropped it because I got selected into JEE Advanced and got IIT Kharagpur which is a better college by all means and is the oldest IIT , mother of all IITs . VIT is however a private college and there are not that better peer group as only students rejected from IIT will attend those colleges, also I had known that IIT has a very good culture and i am experiencing it now how IIT Kharagpur has evolved its culture and continues to shine after 70+ years

I got All india rank 5 in Jee Mains B.arch. I could get admission in any Architecture college in India. I chose IIT Kharagpur for opportunities and experience at an IIT. Mostly to confirm my ambition, if I chose architecture even after having various opportunities for myself, I would surely be a Good Architect.

The IITs are the best we can get in our nation. I did not apply to any other colleges other than IITs. And I had confirmed admission in the same branch from IIT Kanpurs and all other lower IITs. I was also getting other branches at IIT Bombay and Delhi. No i did not get rejections from any college. The admission procedure follows after the commencement of JEE Advance and after announcement of the result based on the rank you get in JEE. The Josaa Counselling process is initiated and all qualified students sit in the counselling and based on opening and closing ranks, we get our college allocated.

I have applied for this college only because it was near to my home town and I really liked the campus amd the academics offered here. The admission process is by clearing the JEE ADVANCED exam and then by going through JOSAA counselling. The cutoff for this exam was 109 marks in 360 marks. The overall admission process was so smooth.

i have chosen this college over other colleges in india as its in top 5 colleges in india for engineering and also according to my rank i found this college as the best college. it holds various clubs and the amazing and outstanding environment which i got here cannot be compared with other colleges. further, other IITs which are above IITKGP like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, i didnot get any seat ther. as well as i didnot choose some of these colleges in my josaa list as they were far away from my home. so, the admission process of my college is very complex as college provide you a manuel full of instructions and you have to only follow those steps very carefully. if you do any mistake in the process then seat may get cancelled. you have to be very very much careful in this case. if anyone want to continue with architecture department then he or she has to give jee adv AAT after jee adv qualifying as it is mandatory part.

Applying for a minor is possible only at the beginning of the 3rd year autumn semester provided that your CGPA is 7.5+. But I suggest you start taking courses related to your minor from the 2nd year autumn semester itself.
Plan your semesters in such a way that you have available slots for that specific subject.

Therefore, you have to clear both the written test as well as interview for admission to IIT Law School.
In my opinion, Food and Agriculture Engineering course offered at IIT Kharagpur is indeed a good option for those inclined toward this field. Here are a few pointers as to why choosing this program is worthwhile
All the above opportunities are lucrative and can appeal to anyone who is genuinely interested in the branch. Moreover, IIT Kharagpur placements are also decent for the branch because most non-core companies allow the students of this branch to sit for placements.
The section-wise weightage for final PGDBA shortlisting is not revealed by these colleges. They analyze all these aspects and a candidate’s interview when putting out the final offer. The interview helps them assess what a candidate brings to the table. Even if they start announcing the section-wise weightages some day, that should not affect your test preparation. Your work experience and past academic record are unchangeable factors, but your entrance test score is in your hands.
Study for the entrance exam with utmost sincerity, and stop worrying about other aspects of your profile that you can not change.
The first step in the journey of getting a Ph.D. degree is giving either of these exams; GATE, NET, CSIR, or UGC. Next, you have to decide on a particular field in which you will be conducting your research. After this, you have to look for a faculty advisor that has experience in the kind of research work you are looking for. His teaching style should necessarily align with your learning style. Conduct extensive research on the topic you will be working on.
IIT Bombay: Here, you are required to do some coursework on the topic you have chosen. Choose the course that will give you more opportunities than others. Most Ph.D. students take some courses only to make up the required credits. This is not right as you will miss the opportunity to learn so much from every department. The most preferred courses are CS and Modelling at IIT Bombay.
One can even upgrade their skills in Mathematics and Statistics. Other courses that might help you in research work are fluid mechanics, soil mechanics, inorganic chemistry, solid-state physics, and thermodynamics.
Basically, you should choose your coursework not only for credits but to get knowledge of the research work you will be doing. Seek help from your advisor on the same.
