The course curriculum at IIT Kgp is well structured and relevant to the topic. they update it time to time as per the requirement of new and modern technologies and advancement, they have AR/VRM labs and centre of excellence to help students holistic development and the main focus of institute is on research.

there are several companies provided internship opportunities to students. the company which involved in the internship are innovartan, accenture, optiver, dr. reddy, jp morgan, etc. there are mainly regarding with coding and app making.

For placement and internship we have CCD ( Career development center ) and it ensure that students are getting all the opportunities for interview with top companies like Microsoft, google, Goldman Sache amazon and so on. students can apply for internship in 5th semester and can sit for placement in their 8th semester, other than campus placement students can apply anywhere for off campus placement if they are meeting thier crieteria.

As a student of IIT Kharagpur we pay 100000/ rupees as tution fee along with 66000 hostel fees which include 14000 mess fee per semester. Person with disability SC and ST students are exempted from paying tution fee, and a student is asked to submit income certificate to avail fee waiver it can vary from 50% to 100% depending upon students family income. student can apply for any private or government scholarship they are eligible in and institue also provides some scholarship through ERP.

the overall campus life at IIT KGP is truly amazing. teh campus is one of the largest among all IITs and gives you the chance to explore a wide range of opportunities. it has three very big sports ground named as tata steel complex, jhon ghosh stadium and gandhi maidan with well maintained facilities, campus has 3 fest named as spring fest as its socio cultural fest khitiz one of the largest tech fest of asia and shaurya the sports fest.

in my hostel room, there is a attcahed washroom between 4 people and two room separate where 4 people can easily live. there is 2 or 3 sharing in the rooms are provided. there are almirah provided to every student.

i was very eager to explore bengal and its culture from the very begining and after my jee exam i did several reaseach on the placement opportunities and tried to explore how the campus life is . and then considering its academic reputation, infrastructre and placement records i dicided to take addmission here. i was getting addmission in IIT ISM dhanbad in its computer science course but kgp facinated me more.

The faculty to students ratio is 1:30 and the faculty members are easily approachable online as well as offline you can just arrange an appointment with them just by sending an email and they will help very nicely. if i have to name one faculty then it would be Jenia mam from HSS department i had a course with her, and here teaching and grading techniques were very good. Each and every prof is good in their respective field but one thing that i hate about them is they start everything slowly but by the end of the semester they accelarates the syllabus. exams are of hard level but if have have attended all the class it would not be a problem for you to answer.

there is a gymkhana where we can sit and talk to each other without any restriction and do several kind of activities like playing badminton. Gym is also present in every hall and a common gym is open for all. boys and girls roam around the campus with each other with safety.
