Master's at IIT Kharagpur

The curriculum is best suited for the students, it does not overloads. It is just best for the one who is taking the course and also the faculty usese the smart projecters which enables them to give more clarity about the course and the subject they teach. The frequency and timing are also very good and the level of examinations are just as what is being taught in the classroom.

The duration of internship which is mandatory is 2 months and some major companies that u can go for Godrej, Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) which provides a good working experience and industrial exposure and a good stipend of 20000 per months.

This course offers 4 semesters which a 2 year course and anyone who is pursuing this course is eligible for the placements after successfully completing his first year course work. On an average approx 40-50% of the student get placed and those who dont get off campus placements.

The Master's of Environmental Engineering and Management course has an approximate fees of ?50000/per semester (including hostel and mess charges) which is in total approx 2 lakhs and offers a monthly stipend of ?12,400.

The campus life is awesome having several exciting festivals including sports festival, technical festival and also Cultural festival. Above all this there are festivals for individuals branches as well.

Some of the hostel has single room accommodation and more of them are doubly seated. But most of the M. Tech students get the single room of the newly made hostel which has centralized AC in it and the meals are also good considering the diversity of students likes and dislikes

I got IIT Guwahati , IIT BHU and some but opted for this college because of its environment it provides for studying as well the peace it delivers through the greenery of the campus also way of transportation is way easier.

The faculty member are ample for the students and there approach toward the students are very good and very supportive, and they create a positive and friendly approach towards students so that they wont hesitate asking any doubts or quaries. This course has 4 exams, 2 of them are end sem examination and the other two is mid sem exam for the 1st yr and in second yr there is no course works, so no exam.. But its your choice that u can opt any extra subjects for more credits.

The criteria for getting admission in M.Tech course is just, u need to crack GATE exams with a very good rank and thats all. Sone of teh M.Tech courses has the interview session as well but most of them just require a good GATE score.

One of the exciting part is the night life it provides, it has night canteens all night open which is higly crowded during fests and exam when student be in the library all day and night. Also it has gym called Gymkhana and Cafeteria as well.
