Remarks
Currently, the institution In engineering category, it is holding the 19th position in the NIRF rankings among all the institutes of the country. It is an Institute of National Importance under MHRD by the Government of India along with IITs, NITs and the other institutes. Overall studying in such premier institution is a matter of pride.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is quite compact, it comprises of all the topics and subjects required for higher studies (post graduation level) or the knowledge required to work in the industry. The Course Structure does not focus on Research, but one can work on some project under the guidance of the professor, which will give an exposure to the students. The Labs very frequent till second year, and there is little pressure for Assignment submission, Class test etc, otherwise it's chilled.
Placement Experience
About 40-50% students get campus placement. Yes, the college provides internship. Stipend varies from company to company. This year PwC, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, Jindal Stainless Steel, Microsoft came to provide internship.

So many events are celebrated in our college throughout the year. Instruo is the biggest TechFest organised in our college, students from different colleges participate in it too. Rebeca is a cultural event organised in our college. These two are annual events. There are some events organised by a particular department. Like Electrical Engineering department organises Electroquip.

College itself does not provide any scholarship, but there is an alumni association which provides scholarship for the needy students.
Campus Life
Gender Ratio is about 1:5. There are many opportunities for extracurricular activities. There are handful of clubs, cultural societies. Alumni/Alumna
As it's a very old college, its alumni are widespread throughout the world. Alumni network and senior students are quite helpful. Often some of the alumni organize some kind of interaction programs with the current students.
Admission
I got admission in the college through JEE(MAIN) examination. It's a Joint Entrance Examination, in which a student can sit in the same year of his 12th examination or after passing (10+2) level. Yes, I had another option. I sat in the Medical Entrance examination (NEET) and JEE(MAIN), but couldn't crack the NEET examination. I have chosen the course, and interest grown in Electricity from my 10+2 level, that played a key role in choosing the stream and course.
Faculty
The faculties are very much experienced and knowledgeable. One can pursue projects under the supervision of the professor if they are interested. Some of the faculties are from industrial background, so they explains the problem and their solution one can face in industry. The faculties are well-qualified and interested to teach a particular course, and they have knowledge of various fields also, they can teach some other course also, in which they don't have specialization.
