Course Curriculum Overview

4

I feel like there shouldn't be exams on subjects like ecology. It is a headache for people who cannot memorize things. The timing of exams are fine. Like no one requires extra time. Mostly everyone complete before hand.

Internships Opportunities

4

The are a lot of companies that visit this college and give internships with stipend. For example, Amazon, Google, Aditya Birla Group, etc. There are many projects given to the students to understand their ability and if they are qualified enough.

Placement Experience

3

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. There are a lot of companies that visit. A few of them are Google, Amazon, etc. The highest package this year for on campus was 54 lakh and the average package is 7 lakh. Percentage of students getting placement is aroung 70%. After getting the degree I will be pursuing M.Tech.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester-wise fees is 71k and the fees for hostel per sem is 29500 so basically 105000 will be the total for a general category student per semester. The caution money is 4k. There are a lots of scholarships available, like Swami Dayanand Education Foundation, Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, etc.

Campus Life

5

The fests that take place are INSTRUO, IMPETUS, REBECA and many more. There are a lot of books present, enough for any student to get a grasp at anything they want. The classrooms are old fashioned. All sort of sports are played on campus. There are a lot of social groups and clubs for the welfare of the students.

Hostel Facilities

4

The room is provided with two ceiling fans and 4 bed and 4 almirah (for boys) and 5 beds and 5 almirah(for 1st yr girls). Meal is not that good. The hostel are very affordable. Cost of living in pg is much more compared to living in hostel. It is fine if you rent a room or a pg but you will miss all the fun that goes on inside the college.

Admission

I did not apply for any other college. I applied for colleges in josaa and the ones which were above IIEST, I considered few of them better and few due to NIRF ranking. The admission process if very simple. One will have to give jee after that they will have to apply for josaa counselling. If they have good enough rank, and they get any branch then they will be have to come to the college on the date specified by the college on their website. The cutoff for general category is usually high. All branches close at around 70k rank(in josaa counselling). In CSAB, they might extend to 1 lakh.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the institute is very good. Almost of them are approachable. I like almost all the faculty here. The faculty I dislike the most is Rana Roy. He is the most dangerous teacher anyone can get in this college. There are two exams per semester, namely mid sem examination and end sem examination. The exams are mostly moderate and the course curriculum is perfect. Handful of students fail to clear the exams.

Night Life

5

There is one gym for both male and female. The cafeterias remain open from 11 am till 9pm. There are 15 hostels(12 boys hostel and 3 girls hostel). There are a lot of places to roam outside the college. Within 40 mins you can reach Exide road and then there are lots of place that you can visit from their. The locality is very safe at night time.

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Since I'm in first year so I don't got into my specialization that much , but from my knowledge we are getting knowledge about all domain in a portion which will help us in our future . This also helps us to decide that specifically which domain is best for us . Since I'm in first year so I didn't have my exams yet because of the late admission in college the reason for late admission was stay in admission by the Calcutta Highcourt due to some issues on reservation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

-> CSE is the main stream because under this, other courses like Cybersecurity can be learned as extra courses, while still learning things that are very important like DSA and DAA. -> Everything is taught slightly fast and students have to keep up everyday. Even one class missed will be heavy on studying. -> The mic quality in some classes are bad and should be improved. It's impossible to understand what the teachers says when using them. -> Usually term exams start one month after the start of a semester, with the Semester exam being held 3 months later.
