What's New in UIT?
UIT Burdwan BTech admissions are expected to start soon. WBJEE 2024 admit cards will be released on April 18 and the Entrance Test will be held on April 28, 2024. UIT Burdwan accepts BTech admissions as per the JEE Main score. The JEE Mains (Session II) exam 2024 is scheduled from April 04 to April 15, 2024. The JEE Mains (Session II) results will be declared on April 25, 2024.
About UIT
Established in 2000, the University Institute of Technology (University of Burdwan) offers undergraduate engineering courses (B.E.) in six different specializations. It also offers two postgraduate engineering courses (M.E) with a specialization in Computer Science Engineering and Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. The institute admits 60 students per course annually through WBJEE in its undergraduate course and 18 students per course through GATE score in its postgraduate course. UIT Burdwan University Admissions
- Candidates applying for B.E. should have appeared in 10+2 examinations with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as the main subject from a recognized board and should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% for general category candidates
- For the SC/ ST category, the candidate should have scored at least 40% marks in the higher secondary examinations.
- Admission to B.E. is done based on the score of WBJEE.
- Candidates applying for M.E. should have passed their B.E/B.Tech or M.Sc. degree Examination in the respective field having at least 60% marks in aggregate
- Admission to M.E. is done based on a valid score in GATE.
- For non-GATE candidates, admissions are considered if seats are vacant after admissions by the GATE examination.

- Further, the admissions are done through the counselling process after document verification and fee submission.
- For M.E., students have to fill out the form providing their GATE rank. Further selection is done by interviewing the candidate.

- Our college is controlled by the Kerala University, which has a well-structured exam format and pattern of questions and answers that we follow.
- Collage has never provided any internships to students. Students dont know the method of getting internships, and they have to do internships at their own risk.
Dislikes
- The curriculum is very outdated, the academic facilities are poor, and only 20% of the faculty are permanent and knowledgeable across all departments; the rest are in name only.
- In this matter, the college is not good at all due to the lack of proper governing bodies. They do not arrange any internship programs by themselves.

For the admission you must have to take WBJEE or JEE Mains. I was admitted in this college through the WBJEE COUNCILING and I was passionated with the electronics and automation thats why I took admission in this department that is ECE. - Also there is no club so no extra curricular activities so full focus on studies.

- The campus size is soo small, and there is no canteen.
- There is a faculty who will pull you towards him so be careful.

The admission process is simple you have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam and them then you have to appear for counseling and if you cleared the cutoff, then you can go for documents verification and get there admission easily, the cutoff is not to high you can get there easily.

After giving the joint entrance exam then cut-off will be very low. then we will have to take an admission by giving the cutoff result. then I was admission to the ECE department at the University institute of technology.

If you are trying to get admissioned through WBJEE exam then you have to get a rank within 20 thousand. This college does have some reservation seats. The admission process was actually very good didn't take a lot of time.

If anyone wants to get admission to this college they accept the West Bengal joint entrance exam. For CSE you need to rank at least 9000 rank. For IT you need at least 12000 ranks. For ECE you need at least 25000 ranks. For EE you need at least 45000 ranks. For Civil, you need at least 55000 ranks. And it is a semi-government college. For application go to wbjee college seat allotment and you will get this college. The total fee for the BE course is 3 lakh total. The application date depends on when the wbjee rank card is published.

Yes, I attempted the WBJELET Exam. After that counseling started and I chose this college. Yes, the Reservation is also here, SC ST OBC benefited. At the admission time, the semester fees was 44100 for all departments and the rest semester fees were 37100.

Our college takes admission in two ways: First, through wbjee counselling, it is available for both West Bengal domicile and All India quota. Second through decentralized counselling by your board's exam. The application of the decentralized counselling is available at uit.bruv.ac.in There are reservations for SC ST and PWD. Admission fees are 41900.

Firstly if you want to take admitted to this college then you have to Appear and Qualify WBJEE or JEE Mains Examination and then after the counseling process, you could opt for the college. You can get benefits of Reservation in this college and also TFW Benefits could be obtained for the tuition fees. The remaining vacant seats after counseling are filled by Decentralised counseling conducted at College Campus according to vacancy and Ranks.
