Here Mentorship quality is good enough to handle any issue

Infrastructure of this college is to be maintained
Laboratory facilities are not as much expected

Admission:

This college provide a gvoverment degree which is help for and more important to get a highly secured job. This college has a department named Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering which is not there in many colleges. This unique department present here provieds more oppourtunity to students

UIT, Burdwan review about placement, infrastructure and hostels

Likes

We don't have to worry about exams because we can paas the exam even if we go through pyq one night befor exams.
The syllabus is good, for CSE you can prepare for gate and placement simultaneously.
We can get any books in the library. It's the only plus point here.

Dislikes

Mess charge is so high. The hostel condition is so bad.
They involved students in the politics which affects the student most.
Infrastructure and placement of this college sucks.

Admission:

I applied for many colleges through WBJEE counselling. But I got this college since my rank was 6020. In the first counselling, I took admission here. I didn't wait for the next rounds. You can take admission here through WBJEE. The rank for getting admitted into CSE is under 7000 for my year and this is the most preffered course here.

The College Life in Burdwan

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Admission:

I don't know about other institutions. I got admission via wbjee exam with a rank around 8200 in CSE dept. And the closing rank was around 21000. But there are other ways to apply like Direct addmission. And lateral admission for second year as well

The faculty are helpful and humble in nature
You will get ample amount of time for your studies .

Dislikes

No good placements are happened here . also packages offered here are too low
No internships opportunity , you have to do internships by paying some fees
Infrastructure is very poor , basic lab equipments is also missed

Admission:

I choose this college because i didn't have any other option available . and rest of the college fees is too high that i can't get afforded. And also this college is quite nearby from my homestate . Also the cultural diversity is good here .

The Diversity of this college is good , students here are studying from many states .
Some of the Professors are really helpful .
College give you ample amount of time , so that u can work on yourself.

Dislikes

Poor lab infrastructure , our labs are lacks in basic facility especially in core branches
This college has very limited internship opportunites.
Some time administration sucks you on the name of attendence shortage

Admission:

I choose this college because i have some financial constraint and i want to do Engineering in limited course fee . I want a decent type of placement which this college will provide to me ,. Also this college has proximity to my Home state.

Likes

Less course pressure , Faculties are helpful
Seniors are very helpful in this college
Hostel facilities are good , In final year everyone gets their single room accommodation , and rooms are soo big .

Dislikes

Lab Infrastructure is poor , basic facilities are missing
very very limitied seats for internships in 3rd year .
Faculities pressurizied you for 70% attendence else give fine of Rs600 per semester

I want some time in my college time , like i want to do some extra stuffs in my college life . and i'm very happy to be here in this college . Also placement is ok ok , u will get around 4LPA package from on campus , and hiring process is also smooth . Companies asking for medium level of data-structure questions . Also the courses are quite affordable in terms of financial boundaries .

Likes

The faculties are really supporting and helps us in study as well as guide us for future career.
There are few coding club, photography club that give exposure students and encourage them in the field of their interest
The overall atmosphere is good ,ragging free campus.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not so good. There need of more improvement.
There are not proper opportunity of research.
there are no smart board in classes. It is blackboard will be in your classes. some teacher my bring projector for providing lecture

Admission:

I got addmision in a Central university. But it was in Karnataka so for me it was a long distance. So i applied in this collage for decentralised councelling and got addmision. Through wbjee score card. Collage accept WBJEE scorecard and sometimes JEE mains scorecard.

Navigating through University Institute Of Technology.

Likes

The campus is quite big and spacious. Faculties are well qualified and teach well. Placement opportunities are getting better every year.
Faculties are well experienced in their particular fields. There are coding clubs (more than one) for students willing to learn.
No such pressure of attendance and dress code. Seniors are friendly and helpful.

Dislikes

The course is quite outdated according to the industry standards. Exams papers can be quite tough and it is not easy to maintain a good cgpa.
There is lack of sports facilities (no proper ground for sports). Campus isn't that well maintained. Administration is not up to the mark. In my 3 years of campus life, there was one single instance of cultural fest.
Internship opportunities are not good and one has to apply outside for the same. Placement opportunities are decent as mostly mass recruiters come for on campus placement drives.

Admission:

I applied to a few other colleges such as VIT, SRM, KIIT through their entrance exams and got confirmed admission from each of them. I chose this college as the fee is relatively lower being a government college and better ROI in my opinion. My WBJEE rank wasnt good enough to get my desired branches in Jadavpur Univerity or KGEC which made me opt for this particular college. The admission here takes place through two ways- WBJEE counselling and Decentralised counselling. To get admission through WBJEE one need a decent rank ( around 9k) for the upper branches. For making it through decentralised counselling, one needs to do significantly well in their board exams. Admission experience is quite smooth. Also, there is no such reservation for homestate or domicile candidates.

A detailed experience by the students of ECE batch 2021-2025

Likes

The campus life is very good here, the college is located in the town and market is easily accessible here, it is around 2 km from the railway station
Faculties are well qualified with a minimum degree of PHD expected the few contractual faculties from the general basics science and humanities
The semester exams conducted as per the academic calendar

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not well maintained and low maintenance
Some faculties are more focused on giving the back paper in the semester results

Admission:

For the admission you must have to take WBJEE or JEE Mains. I was admitted in this college through the WBJEE COUNCILING and I was passionated with the electronics and automation thats why I took admission in this department that is ECE. You could find the application form and other details in the WBJEE website

UIT, the college you will never forget.

Likes

The faculty are very helpful and informative.
Also there is no club so no extra curricular activities so full focus on studies.

Dislikes

The campus size is soo small, and there is no canteen.
There is a faculty who will pull you towards him so be careful.
The tpo is only for name he doesn't do anything.

Admission:

The admission process is simple you have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam and them then you have to appear for counseling and if you cleared the cutoff, then you can go for documents verification and get there admission easily, the cutoff is not to high you can get there easily.
