The College Life in Burdwan

The curriculum is provided on the official site and the teachers do provide the syllabus before every exam and the questions mostly come from the notes. For odd semester the mid semesters occur around October and the semester happen in January. For even semester the mid semester happen during March and the semesters Happen in June.

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Yearly the fees for me is 9100 per semester as I applied for TFW(tution fee waiver) this is for financially weaker students and this eliminates the tution fees. The hostel fees is 5400 per semester and 2000 caution money. My bachmates pay around 37500 per semester regardless of their category. Students here can avail Vivekananda Scholarship if they have the domicile of West Bengal and can get upto 60000 per year if they have a cgpa of more than 6.

The infrastructure is very bad here. There's no sports club or the college officially doesn't conduct sports that much. The students themselves conduct sports but not that dedicately and that's why this is a sideno would like to see improve.

For first years it's a different location where you can accommodate a room with 1 other person or with 3 other. And the rooms are comfortable and bed is provided for every student. For renting pg or room I will recommend the area around golapbag's saraitikar more.

I don't know about other institutions. I got admission via wbjee exam with a rank around 8200 in CSE dept. And the closing rank was around 21000. But there are other ways to apply like Direct addmission. And lateral admission for second year as well

The faculty is quite approachable and will advice a lot of helpful things. About the exams yeah they are mediocre with a tough guard and around 90% of the students pass the exams. Attendance of 75% is strictly needed every semester.

The campus is quite peaceful and we can chill under the trees with friends and it's quite calm. For the library it's quite silent and there's a reading charm. For boys the hostel closing timing are till 11pm and for girls it's 6:30pm.
