St. Thomas College of Engineering & Technology, Chengannur was established in 2010. The aim was to encourage their stakeholders to participate in lifelong learning through industry and academic interaction. It is situated in the Chengannur town of Alappuzha district in Kerala. St Thomas College of Engineering & Technology provides a lot of facilities for the students to ease their college life. The facilities provided by the college are mentioned below:
- Computer Center: Computer center is a part of the college campus that offers latest computer hardware as well as software. There are 270 computer workstations in total.
- Central Library: A large number of books are available at the central library of the college. The library covers an area of 725 sq. m. There are 8000 volumes with 2245 titles and 1500 e-journals. 150 students can sit at a time in the library.
- Hostel: The college campus consists of separate hostels for boys & girls for the purpose of accommodation which is well furnished as well as comfortable.
- Language Laboratory: Students, as well as staff, can work on their reading skills and speaking skills at the lab. It improves the communication skills of students.

- The college is overtly strict and treats students like school students
- College doesn't provide NOC for internships so basically getting off campus offers are difficult before 4th year.
Admission:
You have to take admission through WBJEE or JEE MAINS. Application forms and fees are avialable on the college website and wbjee counseling websites. Frequent exams conducted of moderate to high difficulty. Admission process can be improved by doing one thing. by not trapping students into the college by taking there original class 12 mark sheets

- Education are good, some faculties are really great.Teaching methods are good.
- Campus is so interactive. Teachers are always there for the support, mentoring facilities are also there.
Dislikes
- The campus is small. They shoud work on infrastructure more.
- There should be some more program on career advancements. Placement servicesshould improve.
Admission:
Admission is through Wbjee exam only. Cutoff vary from 10,000 to 25,000.Exam is conducted offline in West bengal only . If you resident of West bengal and comes under tfw quota then your fee will be so less. And there are also scholarships.

- Anti Ragging. The college is very strict regarding ragging and hence as a fresher I never faced any issue with the seniors. That is why the seniors are also very friendly and will never let you feel inferior.
- Departmental Tournaments. You will absolutely love the air and spirit during departmental tournaments, like that of football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, and annual sports
Dislikes
- Infrastructure. I wish that the classrooms were better equipped, they become a furnace during summers.
- Uniform. The college has a uniform which gives you the feeling that you are still studying in school but it has plus point that it lowkey kinda maintains equality among students
Admission:
The admission process was pretty smooth, you will be alloted a seat via wbjee counselling, you can get CSE at 15000 rank. you can aslo get direct admission via management quota but for that you will to contact the institute.

- It is one of the best private college in Kolkata.
Dislikes
- The thing which I disliked the most is that you cannot keep beard.
Admission:
Admission takes place with Jee Main and WBJEE. During my time the rank required for Computer Science and Engineering was around 9000 in WBJEE. You need to enter the counselling process to take admission. There are no reservations.
Likes
- The college has a very big ground where students play cricket and football
- The lab assistant is good and we have a special sir, SOM sir and srikanta sir who are very friendly
Dislikes
- The college takes fine for each subject which is ₹500
- Co curriculum activities are less and doesn't support us
Admission:
As it is private college so the cut off is not very high and I have also seen some students takes admission with depositing extra money if their percentage is low in the Competitive exam.... Also there is no reservation system present during the admission process in the college
