The facilities are so so but college tries their best to provide all the equipment and everything.

The facilities are not upto the mark but the fees make up for that.

See,I didn't get good percentile in jee advance and so I choose to give wbjee exam to get a seat in engineering colleges and I got a rank of almost 17k where I got cse department in 2nd phase of wbjee counciling.I choose St Thomas College of Engineering and Technology because the fees is very low compare to other colleges as I don't get jadavpur university or any other top in that rank and I am very happy from my decision because of you need a college that gives placement and fees is not too high .This college is best for that.

The location, it's located in Khidirpur so frequently there are jams and not much to see around.

I had a few other options other than STCET. I chose STCET over them because of the College structure u have labs and a sports ground not that bad,faculty really great professors and overall ease of transportation.

You have to take admission through WBJEE or JEE MAINS. Application forms and fees are avialable on the college website and wbjee counseling websites. Frequent exams conducted of moderate to high difficulty. Admission process can be improved by doing one thing. by not trapping students into the college by taking there original class 12 mark sheets

Campus is so interactive. Teachers are always there for the support, mentoring facilities are also there.

Dislikes

The campus is small. They shoud work on infrastructure more.

Admission:

Admission is through Wbjee exam only. Cutoff vary from 10,000 to 25,000.Exam is conducted offline in West bengal only . If you resident of West bengal and comes under tfw quota then your fee will be so less. And there are also scholarships.

Likes

Events. The college organises two events for students, tech & cultural fest and a frehsers, then the students also organize a departmental farewell (and some other cool stuff which I cant tell here)
Anti Ragging. The college is very strict regarding ragging and hence as a fresher I never faced any issue with the seniors. That is why the seniors are also very friendly and will never let you feel inferior.
Departmental Tournaments. You will absolutely love the air and spirit during departmental tournaments, like that of football, cricket, table tennis, badminton, and annual sports

Dislikes

Infrastructure. I wish that the classrooms were better equipped, they become a furnace during summers.
Uniform. The college has a uniform which gives you the feeling that you are still studying in school but it has plus point that it lowkey kinda maintains equality among students

Admission:

The admission process was pretty smooth, you will be alloted a seat via wbjee counselling, you can get CSE at 15000 rank. you can aslo get direct admission via management quota but for that you will to contact the institute.

College is very disciplined and very strict.
It is one of the best private college in Kolkata.

Dislikes

The thing which I disliked the most is that you cannot keep beard.

Admission:

Admission takes place with Jee Main and WBJEE. During my time the rank required for Computer Science and Engineering was around 9000 in WBJEE. You need to enter the counselling process to take admission. There are no reservations.
