- We don't have to worry about exams because we can paas the exam even if we go through pyq one night befor exams.
- The syllabus is good, for CSE you can prepare for gate and placement simultaneously.
- We can get any books in the library. It's the only plus point here.
Dislikes
- Mess charge is so high. The hostel condition is so bad.
- They involved students in the politics which affects the student most.
- Infrastructure and placement of this college sucks.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am pursuing computer science and Engineering. Since, It is in demand. Here we are just thought theoreotically. There is no practical teaching and experiences. Most important thing is exam duration, they take approx 1 month which really sucks and creates mental pressure. Because of this, we have to stop working on our skills for a month.
Placement Experience
There is no placement after covid. Mostly students apply off-campus pr go for higher studies. About 20% students get placed with average of 3LPA. I am planned to applied for off-campus opportunities and also appear for GATE.
Fees and Financial Aid
Each semester we have to pay 37,100 college fee and 5400 hostel fees. Hostel fee doesn't include mess charges. We have to pay for food separately. There is scholarship available for only domicile students, which is Swami vivekanand scholarship.
Campus Life
Every year they get money from government for fest. But they didn't hold one. There is no such type of annual festivals in this college. Only one good thing here is library. You can get any type of books here. Even the gate PYQ and books. There is no social life here and college also doesn't host any such kind for socialibility.
Hostel Facilities
In the hostel, there are 3 students in single room. There is no cleanliness in the hostel. Mosquitoes and cats are everywhere. We don't have any cupboard to put our things. Meal quality is so bad. There is criteria of taking 40 meals and 20 breakfast in a month which sucks the most. Usually we eat outside. The price of food outside is comparatively low than hostel.
Admission
I applied for many colleges through WBJEE counselling. But I got this college since my rank was 6020. In the first counselling, I took admission here. I didn't wait for the next rounds. You can take admission here through WBJEE. The rank for getting admitted into CSE is under 7000 for my year and this is the most preffered course here.
Faculty
Only the some faculties are friendly and helpful. And some of them will give you back without any reason. They took stuffs personally. Exams were never seem tough because most of the paper you can paas by visiting pyq but some (one or two) are tough like you can't predict the paper.
Night Life
There is no place for hangout here. We usually sit in the campus, under a tree, with friends for chilling. Hostel In-Time is 6:00pm. And college usually starts from 10am and ends at 5:30pm. End time can exceeds when you have a lab.
