Likes

The first thing I like it's a government college, so it's quite affordable.
I want to experience the engineering life, though the campus is not so big but it's covered by the mountains and the weather is truly amazing.

Dislikes

The lab is not so good, there is not quite equipment here.
Regular classes are missing, there are some specific classes, one day there is no class but on tha other day there is 4/6 classes.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

My session was 2020 - 2024 so , is this time period the tutuon fees was 3000 per semester for civil branch. and the library fess was taken at the time of admission time. there is scholaships like - SVMCM , NSP , oasis etc.

Campus Life

The campus life is good, our college fest has been conductedin the month of april or may. our library is big and you can get most of the books from there no need to buy any books. every class room has a projector and most of the classes are conduct on that. there is annual sports event and also there is many activites and clubs and most polular one is NSS.

Admission

so, the college doesn't conduct any specific admission process, I got this college through WBJEE counseling in 2020, it's totally free of cost. There are 4 CA exams and one-semester exam in one semester, and the CA level is easy but the main semester exam level is high.

Faculty

I am from civil Branch so, currnrtly there is 5 theacher and 2 lab assistant. they are all PhD holders and they are enough for you and the classes is little bit hectic but its helpfull. Its easy to interact with the teacher they are quite friendly somtimes.

From 5th semester student can appear for placement. There are various recruters visited JGEC like - Akash and offered many students.Highest package was 64 LPA and average is 9 LPA. Almost 80 % student get placed.I would like to go with Masters.

The infrastructure of this college is under development. One should not expect much facilities here because the college was established in 2016 and the first batch has not passed out yet. The laboratories are not up to the mark as there are less number of instruments. However there is a central library which is pretty good. There are projectors in most of the classrooms.
