Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is both relevant and comprehensive. The inclusion of practical labs and industry specific projects with significant factors in choosing this course as they provide hands on experience for crucial for real world applications. However there is room for improvement in incorporating more modern technologies and interdisciplinary subject to keep pace with industry trends the exams are conducted twice per semester midsemester and end semester anar considered fear yet challenging.

Internships Opportunities

3

Some of the companies that provide internship include TCS, cognizant, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The roles offer range from software development data analysis to network engineering to roles in civil and mechanical engineering. Students typically engaged in project that involve real world problem solving such as developing software solutions, conducting research and working on infrastructure project. This internships not only provide practical experience but also come with stipend helping students gain financial support and learning.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from the 7th semester. Companies like TCS cognizant Wipro and Infosys have visited the campus offering packages ranging from 6 LPA to 10 LPA. The highest package offered was 10 LPA by Infosys while the average package was around 3 LPA. Approximately 60 to 70% of the students seeker placements. for those who don't get place many pursue higher studies and seek employment for other channels like government. My plan after getting the degree is to gain industry experience then pursuing an mtech for further specialisation.

Fees and Financial Aid

At RKMGEC COLLEGE OF PURULIA, the yearly fee structure varies by department and category for CSE and ECE departments, the annual fees totals ?11,918 while the mechanical electrical and civil engineering department pays rupees 8518 which includes tuition fees admission fees development fees admission fees and various other compulsory categories. Reserved category students such as SC/ST can benefit from scholarships significantly reducing their fees. Scholarships like merit cum need-based, freeship and other financial aid such as SVMCM and OASIS are available for students demonstrating excellent academic performance and financial need.

Campus Life

4

The college is vibrant and dynamic offering a pure blend of academics as well as extracurricular activities. The annual cultural festival Pravaah is typically held in January and highlights the bringing of campus to life with various events and competitions. The college library is stocked with a vast range of books and journals providing ample resources for students to access for knowledge. Sports and extracurricular activities are integral parts of campus life and the college encourages the students to participate in these activities promoting physical fitness and teamwork. Student run clubs and societies plea significant role in enhancing the social aspects of campus life clubs like cultural club robotics club and Coding club provides platform for students to explode their interest develop skills and collaborate on projects.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel facilities of this college will maintain and provide a comfortable living environment for students. Each room typically accommodates 2 to 3 students and include basic amenities like bed study table chairs and storage spaces the hostel are included with common room and WiFi connectivity. The quality of meals in the hostel mess is satisfactory and the menu changes everyday. It includes rice, chapati, vegetable Dal and everything but it needs improvement. The registration process of the hostel accommodation need to be applied through the college administration at the beginning of the academic year.

Admission

I applied for many other colleges like Jadavpur university, IEM but wasn't able to make ther with my rank and financial instability. I opted for RKMGEC because it offered a compeling mix of quality education, easy faculty and lowe tuition fees. The eligibility was based on west bengal joint entrance examination (WBJEE) scores with specific cutoffs which vary every year. I face rejection from a couple of other top tier colleges primarily due to high competition and slightly lower intense exams scores. The strong industry connections and practical oriented curriculum made it the best fit for my career aspirations.

Faculty

4

Ramkrishna mahato government engineering college boost a dedicated and approachable faculty with faculty to student ratio of Sikhs to one insuring personalised attention. Notable faculty members like professor abhijit pramanik and professor pabitra Roy are highly appreciated for their teaching styles the course structure spans 4 years and covers 5 engineering disciplines with a blend of theoretical and practical knowledge the college follows a semester wise exam system with mid and end semester exams that are fair and yet challenging. The curriculum is designed to meet industry standards making it highly relevant.

Interview Experience

5

The topic of the GD was how I have contributed to my life for NSS and how can I improve my experience. I have answered diligently and truthfully. I love the process and it taught me a lot for future experiences. It was based on physical verification through WBJEE.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
