Course Curriculum Overview
There are different curriculums that will be giving you a overall aspect of your filed as well as other fields. Besides engineering subjects you will have humanities paper and also lab sessions that will be help you to tackle interview for landing in a real job. Exams will be happening in a gap of 2 monthes, 1st you will have internal after two monthes you will have finals.The level of paper varies. Pervious year questions helps a lot.
Internships Opportunities
Companies coming for pracement is 4th year provides internship.You can grab internship by your own skill.Some time training courses are offerd by different copanies so you can do them for industry level exposure and to develop real life problem solving ability..
Placement Experience
Most of the IT companies come here like TCS, WIPRO, BYJUS, INFOSIS, TECH MAHINDRA. There are a lot of oppertunities for CSE and IT graduates. But core companies don't come that much so if you are from core branch you have to go for off capmus for core jobs. And average package offered is 6 LPA. overall 78% students got placed through in-campus and off campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
For BE students the fees structure is ___ In every semester you have to pay 37100/- . But during admission ou have to pay 39100/- *Admission fees(one time) - 5000/- *Caution money(one time refundable) - 2000/- *Tution fees(per semester) - 28000/- *Development fees(per semester) - 5000/- *semester Examination and Evalution fees(per semester) - 1500/- *Labrotary fees(per semester) - 2000/- *Student welfare fees(per semester) - 100/- *Cultural & sports fees(per semester) - 500/- *There are reduction in fees for SC/ST students. Only fees reduction is for TFW students. Only 3 students from each class will get the TFW sponsership and they have to pay 15000/- per semester for tution fees and other fees are same as general students. For hostel__ you have to pay 5400/- per semester Students gets SVMCM scholarship from West Bengal Government which is 60000/-.And SC students get OASIS . No other scholarship is provided from collage.
Campus Life
Campus life is good. You will get good helping seniors. You will be making good friends. You can get all your needy books from library. You can have them for 1 month and after one month you have to return them. Overall your campus life is gonna be awsome.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are affordable. There culture in hostel is nice. You will have fun in hostel. You can't get single room but you will be sharing your room with two friends.You can choose your room mate according to you from @nd year. You will be given meal in mess 2 times (55/- for each meal) you have to pay 2200/- for compulsaory meal of 40. Other is your choise weather eat extra or not. Quality of food is so so.
Admission
I got addmision in a Central university. But it was in Karnataka so for me it was a long distance. So i applied in this collage for decentralised councelling and got addmision. Through wbjee score card. Collage accept WBJEE scorecard and sometimes JEE mains scorecard.
Faculty
Faculty members are helpful. If you go to them they will absolutely help in your in your study and project related matters. A 20 marks exam will be happen as internal and 10 marks are allocated for attendece and 70 marks are allocated for semester exam for theory papers. For lab papers 100 marks will depends on lab day. Your teaching faculty will evalute your exam paper.
