Course Curriculum Overview

Because I am interested in chemistry and there experiments. We are 40 students in the course and 23 faculty are available. Every faculty is amazing and there qualifications is so big and famous. Term exams are moderate and it's all about what you learn in the class.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 98840 per year

Internships Opportunities

In the campus starting of 3rd year internship are started and more like 95 percentage students take intership by this program. There is a cell who responsible for placement and internship for students.

Placement Experience

In IIT placement is the one which is best in every college because there students are capable for those jobs. In every course there is decent average package and some is very high package. Every type of company is sit in placement rounds.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is decided into 3 forms First is tution fee it is 1 lakh and another is mess and hostel fee there is 50,000 this is for each semester in a year we give 3 lakhs. In SC St category there is no tution fee and some tution fee relaif by income certificate

Campus Life

The life in the campus is veri nice. There clubs and societies is veri nice .we learn and develop self-confidence and our character in sach a way that is ready to comercial benifits. There classroom and sports facilities are very nice every sports is available in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is amazing for everyone. In the campus there is 8 boys hostels and 3 girls hostels. Every hostel is there own charges and facilities like room service mess ect. Every hostel just like a home for students.

Hostel Fee: INR 41000 per year

Admission

The eligibility of the course is Jee advanced entrance exam. All things are available on online and site of jee advanced and mains website. Reservation for SC and st is all tution fee reduce. In admission process no requirements of parents everything is do by self.

For placement and internship we have CCD ( Career development center ) and it ensure that students are getting all the opportunities for interview with top companies like Microsoft, google, Goldman Sache amazon and so on. students can apply for internship in 5th semester and can sit for placement in their 8th semester, other than campus placement students can apply anywhere for off campus placement if they are meeting thier crieteria.

I choose my course that chemistry because of the fact that I had got the rank that came under it and another reason is chemistry department is quite old here even if kanpur chemistry department is better for core, you will get chance for non core too here. Courses now deal more on chemistry related stuff. No need for course improvement Frequency is near end and mid sem there will be exams mode

Life at IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in IIT KGP in comparison to other colleges. People are eligible to sit for placements in their fourth year can sit for placements through CDC. The placements are held in two phases. In session 24-25, we have seen 1000+ offers to students in first phase. After getting degree, I would also go for doing job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course for the first year is easy overall , maybe challenging for biology students because involvement of Maths in the curriculum but they can decrease their load by practicing Maths problems, asking doubts, approaching the instructors or their personal mentors. Otherwise the course is mixed in a good way with theoretical and practical part. Labs are conducted of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and CS in first year. You can choose CS as an minor in higher classes.

I was preparing for the medical exam in 2014-2016, i appeared in 2016 AIPMT exam 2016, but did not get better college and so i heard about IISER exam that we can we go for higher study from here. i was interested that i can go to the medical research after completing my degree from IISER. yes we can go to ICMR and research field in any department if you have qualified from IISER with your dedication. you can go foreign for higher study like Phd. There shoud be more laboratry so that it easy for individual practices. The exam taken in IISER is semester wise with fraction like mid sem and end sem. with the perfect schedule. The exam of IISER is good level in each deparments.

Other colleges I applied for is IIT Delhi because it is nearer to my home and is well reputed college and have a great field in Tech.I opt this college because I am interested in Tech field. I finally chose IIT KGP beacuse it is providing me better branch than IIT Delhi and I got interested in this college beacuse my teacher in myh senior schoo is also from IIT KGP they taught me a lot of stories of there college time and I talked to some seniors of college for admissionb regarding prespective so they advised for IIT KGP.Therefore I chose IIT KGP over IIT Delhi.
