Should I join IIT Kharagpur for B.arch?

There are two aspects to the question. You asked. Is the bachelor of architecture course at IIT Kharagpur good? To answer this part, I will say with certainty that IIT Kharagpur is an excellent institute. However, as far as architecture is concerned, your first choice should always be the elite schools of architecture like SPA or CEPT. This is mainly because IITs are known for their technology and not architecture. Should a person who's only interested in physics and math, go for architecture or not? If you are genuinely interested in physics and math, then this will be one of your strengths and will prove to be useful in the journey of architecture. Architecture requires problem-solving skills apart from artistic skills. There are many students who are average in drawing but have excellent ideas and designs. To broaden your knowledge about art and architecture you can read books.

Fees and Financial Aid:

For each semester, tution fees is Rs. 100000 and fees for hostel and mess is is Rs 36000. If you belongs from reservation category like obc,sc,st then you have tution fees waiver option. If you are from general, ews , obc you have to submit ITR(Income tax certificate). If your family income is less than 1 lakhs then you tution fees will be free. If your family income is less than 5 lakh buy greater than 1 lakhs then you 33% of tution fees will be off. If you category belongs to sc/st then your tution fees will be off.

Architecture department is loaded, the third year is very hectic and if you are in any society or student organisations, it will surely affect your CGPA

The Fees is catorized in 3 different parts. 1st is Tution Fees, which is 1 lakh for General Category Students and For SC,ST or OBC students Tution Fee is zero. 2nd is Hostel Fees, which is around 8500 rs which is for all the category students. 3rd is Mess fees which changes on Hostel to hostel and is around 32 thousand plus. Everything combines comes near 1 lakh 50 thousand, all fees is per semester.

The detailed fee structure of IIT Kharagpur are different for different program. The following is the breakdown of tuition fees (per year) of different programs B.Tech= 4 years, fees around 8-10 lakhs rupees. M.Tech= 2 years, fees around 55-60 rupees. MBA= 2years, fees around 10-12 lakhs rupees. IIT Kharagpur offers various scholarships to its students, including;- 1. Merit Cum Means Scholarship: for b. tech, dual degree, b.arch, BS and integrated courses. 2. Post Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship: for 2 years students of joint Ph.D program. 3. I like the way i can join any course i want to study, at whatever i want to join by consulting with the respective professor.

I am paying as 1lakh 53thousand and 140 ruppees per semester(i.e. for 4 months) and roughly similar fees in the next, the most variable part in the fees is hall fees as it varies with strength of the hall and there budget. The tution fee is fixed which is 1Lakh and except that 18000 is mess fee per semester, and remaining are like hall fees, gymkhana fees etc. I do not hold any kind of scholorship so its the maximum fees anyone pays. In the other categories if your family income is less or you are from SC/ST category then your tution fee will be 0.

My iit kharagpur

if i wiil tell you about the total tution fee of our course it is 1,54,000 that we wiil have to pay in one time.in which the total tution fees is 1 lacs and mess fees is 14,500 and the rest is service fee.the scholarship that i am getting is merit cum mean in which i am getting total amount of 12,000 whicc is on the basis of my cgpa.tiil know as ia m in second year i have not taken any employment with the help of college.currently i am the associate member of society which is helping student in the preparation of upsc.

My total fee is 1500000 for whole course i.e for 10 semester which is runs for five years so for general candidate but if your family income is less than 500000 then only 33% of tuition fee that is 100000 .If you are eligible to get MCM scholarship then tuition will be becoming zero. In which you would get 6000 rupee per semester. If I will talk about iit kgp then there are lots of clubs and societies that would be making you confident and disciplined and also you would learning time management, advertisement of your franchise program and even skills in web development and design sector.

In iit collages fee depends on your catagry. In general fee is around 1.5 lakh per semester while for regerved catagery tution fee is not their that is arount 1 lakh. And here definitely you can find many scholarship that depands like some are for financial weak, for top 10p rankers, for acadmic topes etc.
