The curriculum is very pale like it is not engagable to what we do during job time

My college experience

Per year Tution- Rs 200000 Per year Hostel + Mess = Rs 10000 Scholarship - Various Governmentals and non Governmental including Merit Cum Means based on performance of top 25 percent in the batch and on the tuition fees not on the mess and hostels.

There is Rs.100000 of tution fees per semester.Total fees including Tution fees ,Hostels and other compulsory charges in the first semester is Rs.156750. The fees is not increasing for furthur semester. For open /obc category, if family income is less than 1 lakh then there is 100% tution fee weaver. if family income is less than 5 lakh then 1/3rd of tution fee is to be paid. if family income is greater than 5 lakh then there is no tution fee weaver. For SC/ST category ,there is 100% tution fee weaver. For any category ,First semester fees is compulsory to be paid ,after verification of family income They get respective schlolarship back in their account. Many schlolarships are also available like MCM,Inspire etc based on your cgpa.

IIT'an's

The fees is quite high as compared to other govt colleges but the IIT tag is definitely worth the price and the roi is great. Once you enter the college you will find ample opportunities to explore. I belong to general category so there was no reservation for me but for sc st students the entire tuition fees is zero and for other ews students the tuition fee has waivers depending on yearly income

Course Curriculum and Real world problems and case studies through societies

Regarding fee structure we have 3 categories in fee, tution fee, Hostel fee and Institute fee. For categories like SC, and ST institute fee is 0. We have different scholarsgips and reiumbersement methods to pay fees. we can avail scholarships by showing parents income. MMS is a scholarship where institute fee gets exempted. We dont have campus employment, but we can get internships.

IIT kharagpur college

Cost to study here is typically same as all the engineering colleges in india. Because it is an government college we get some benefits in the fees than private engineering colleges. Also college Provide various scholarships and assistance to students.

Fees is obviously lesser than private colleges but still it is more considering that it is a government institute. Regarding scholarship I don't have a lot of idea about that but there are scholarships provided by government of India like INSPIRE scholarship.

Subjects like Biology, Environmental science are not very useful for engineering.

Including the Semester Fees of 1 Lakh, Hostel, and Mess Fees of 54,830, and other fees, one has to pay around 3 Lakhs per year to continue the course. If the income of one's parent is less than 1 Lakh per annum, his semester fees are waived.

IIT KGP in a nutshell

I come from Economically Weaker section and my family income is less. So I get a full fee waiver i.e my whole tution fee is exempted. And My course is BS, so I get a 60000 scholarship by DST inspire. So, my overall fee is around 90k per year and I get a scholarship worth 60 k per year.

The academics, courses offered are amazing and relevant

The fees structure does not change a lot and is normally around 1.5 lakhs per semester at IIT Kharagpur including the hostel and mess costs. I am currently a first year student so I am not involved in any job right now.
