Our First and Second year mainly consists of Mathematics Courses .From third year we have courses of Computer science.This is nice course as it gives wide opportunities to work in different sectors such as finance, software, quant, consulting, data science ,data analyst etc. Many companies are open to this branch having good placements. One can also go in research for further studies .Students Also have an option to do double major in any other department in the fifth year which is started from this year.

As I am Fresher of 2024 I dont have experience of internships . But I know that we can get a chance for internship in summer vacation of 2nd year. Big companies like google,microsoft,goldman sachs,amazon,flipkart etc visit the college.

Our college placements are good enough . After 2nd year students may apply for interships of companies through College. My plan is to get good placement after getting degree. Percentage of placements is quite good :in our branch particularly about 95%.

There is Rs.100000 of tution fees per semester.Total fees including Tution fees ,Hostels and other compulsory charges in the first semester is Rs.156750. The fees is not increasing for furthur semester. For open /obc category, if family income is less than 1 lakh then there is 100% tution fee weaver. if family income is less than 5 lakh then 1/3rd of tution fee is to be paid. if family income is greater than 5 lakh then there is no tution fee weaver. For SC/ST category ,there is 100% tution fee weaver. For any category ,First semester fees is compulsory to be paid ,after verification of family income They get respective schlolarship back in their account. Many schlolarships are also available like MCM,Inspire etc based on your cgpa.

Campus life is best in our college IIT Kharagpur as our college has largest campus area of about 2100 arces which largest among all the IITs.IIT kgp has largest central library in all IITs.IIT kgp conducts three events annually:1)Spring Fest which is the cultural fest 2) Shaurya which is the sports fest and 3) Kshitij is the Asia's largest Techincal fest conducted in IIT kgp. Our college Library has almost all books and journals available and also has digital library. Many different types of sports can be played having courts and play grounds. This college has large number of student run societies and clubs which have great impact in student's life to improve personality,confidence and speaking skills.

This college is one of top colleges in India having NIRF ranking 5 in engineering.IIT kgp has many great opportunites than other colleges. I was getting some lower branches in IIT bombay,delhi, I selected IIT KGP so that I can get a good branch and best college having healthy competition. Admission process: To take admission in this college for Btech /BS one need to qualify and secur a good rank in JEE ADVANCED Examination.Conselling is done through JOSAA.Closing rank of my branch in general category is 1329 in the year 2024.

The course from the year 2024 has completely changed , all freshers don't have same subjects .From this year Branch change option has also been Removed.Subjects which are not of use for the future according the particular department are removed and additional departmental subjects are added.Faculty members are highly Qualified,It is very important to attend the classes Regularly.My departmental subjects aculties are the Best.I particularly dont like my Electronics(common subject) Faculty bacause I do not understand their teaching perfectly . There are two semesters in a year:1)Autumn semester and 2) Spring semester .Each semester consists of mid sem exam of 30% weightage in cgpa and end sem exam of 50% weightage in cgpa and remaining 20% is for attendence and class test.
