Delhi University: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 106 Reviews

The college provides a favorable student-to-faculty ratio, approximately 1:12 for Honors and 1:15 for Pass courses, ensuring personalized attention. Faculty members are approachable and supportive, especially in core subjects. Students take two main exams annually, along with internal assessments, and generally find them moderately challenging. Approximately 60-70% of students secure placements with top firms like KPMG and Ernst & Young visiting the campus. On-campus placements account for 80%, with an average package of 4-5 LPA and the highest reaching 37 LPA.

Students become eligible for placements from the 3rd year or 5th semester. The placement cell actively assists students, though some reviews suggest average services. Internships are facilitated in fields like marketing and finance, supported by companies like Google and Zomato. The college offers affordable tuition fees ranging from INR 4,800 to INR 50,000, with total course costs around INR 1 lakh for three years. Scholarships through government schemes and the National Scholarship Portal are available, offering up to INR 10,000 annually and 100% fee reimbursement for economically weaker students.

The fee structure is generally seen as reasonable, although reviews highlight limited campus job and internship opportunities.

I paid 13250 in the first year of my college as an EWS student, and in second year i have paid 14800 and next year i will be paying 15250. The difference between Ews and General category fees is not that different, the difference is around 200-400 only. The college fees is increasing at the rate of 500-1000 each year. The fees differs for each category. As far as i know the scholarships are provided for category student like if you are single girl child or you have any quota or something like that you will get the fees reimbursed.
