The wonders of college life

Likes

I liked the amenities available there like auditorium inside college and big sports ground.
Professors were friendly and cooperative and helped with subjects and personal probelms too.
Alongside the subject i was enrolled in other subjects were also included like economics computers etc

Dislikes

too much politics during election times and chaos during the peak time of it.
although amenities were there but students were very less encouraged towards it, for example when i wanted to join football team it took me 2 days just to get to know and talk the the right person about it.

Like i said earlier it was all about making up to the cutt off list. So my decision was all about it. although i wanted to take Anthropology as it aligned with the current subject im stuying, and why i couldnt make it, because my marks in 12th was low. process was simple, if your marks was enough to clear the cutt off list, just go to that college and apply with your marksheet of 12th. I got 95 marks in english in 12th so it was easy for me to get english hons

The Reality of the Parent's Favorite University/ College.

Likes

There is not attendance headache, only deduction in internals
The canteen is quite affordable, the quality is also good.
No headache of getting the admit card, then go again and again for sign for admin, directly signed admit cards are given to us.

Dislikes

there is no proper playground to play sports, there is a single ground for all sports except basketball
Not maintaining a proper app for attendance

Admission:

i did't choose this college, i got this. though my college is preety great - the faculty makes the college even great, they are really interactive, easy to go, understanding and does not pressurize students as they also want us to get out of the bubble. The admission process goes through cuet ug, then make preference list , then goes the cut offs and 3 rounds are there for admission.

Kirori Mal College is the best.

I like the library of my college and A ground called Ashoka Vatika
The canteen was best and affordable for any student
The playground of college was big and students call play many games same timeames

Fees should be less because students' family can't afford it

When I got admission there was a merit list which have names of top students of board exam of 12th class. Means admission was merit based. But now a test CET conducted by NTA and according to students performance in this test he got admission in different colleges.

College is the foundation of the student career.

First thing that I like is the environment of the college the students that are come from different State and different cultures I like the most after interacting with them know about what is famous in their state and many more.
Second,the college canteen for me it is must because the canteen aunty offered various delicious food that each student like.college canteen is must because the students that come from pg they does not have enough time to cook so they can eat in cant

Infrastructure that I didn't like in my college
Election that is going every 4 to 5 month

I choose this college because it offerd a good balance of academic quality, infrastructure, faculty support and placement opportunities as to other colleges I applied to.I had applied few other reputed college and recieved confirmation from Some but this college stood out due to a structural curriculum and better exposure.

A north campus gem

Likes

Facilities are far better then any another college.
Teachers are very best they teach like a friend.
Basket ball ground is good and the cricket pitch is also good.

Dislikes

Announcement hall is in bad condition...
Basket ball ground is good but besides them the stairs is not in good condition
Canteen is too bad there's only non-veg available.

Admission:

I had also applied to deen dayal upadhyay college delhi but i didn't got admission in that college because of a 2% lower marks and there's also science related courses are very low. But i selected in this college through cuet exam i.e common university entrance test.

I like the environment of our college, the gardens filled with fresh seasonal flowers and basking in the sun during winters on our ground filled with green grasses.
I also love the faculties of our department as they are very friendly and helpful in needs. College has been much easier because of them.
I really like the canteen food too. It’s not too expensive and can fit the budget and during summers, Ice tea is a must

I feel that the classroom and students ratio is a bit problematic as most classrooms couldn’t accommodate all the students for a class and some has to sit outside the class
The infrastructure is a bit smaller as compared to the students ratio often making the college more compact during exams
The network connection problem is another thing which i don’t like. As we don’t have access to wifi, any practical work couldn’t be smoothly completed in the class

Admission:

I applied under DU CSAS, and got my fourth preference after which I got this college. I wanted to opt for bachelors in Geography so i went with this college. I didn't get rejected from other college as i never opt for any kind of Upgrade The admission process is done after our selection in CUET(UG) which is now mandatory to appear in order to get admissions in any university in India. Students are to appear for CUET(UG) and fulfill the criteria to get admissions here.

Travell time as it was faridabad from my home .

Admission:

I was doing the professional course with college, so it would have been difficult to opt for the regular college as managing both together will hinder the achievement in both the courses, so I opted for it to balance bot the courses.

I applied in Zakir Hussain college for the same course but did not get selected so I joined this college, also I joined venketshwara college but due to some documents issue I did not get selected. I got rejected from Zakir Hussain college due to I did not match the cut off. Process is very easy First you have to calculate your marks if you marks matchs the cutoff you can go to the college and asks staff to do calculation, after successful calculation you have to submit your documents to the administration office and submit your fees online in 24 hours, your admission will be confirmed

Likes

I personally like the crowd and infrastucture of Jesus and Mary College. People here are friendly and helpful.
The infrastructure is much better than other colleges.
Hygiene is well maintained in washrooms and overal campus area

Dislikes

The canteen is packed and doesnt have proper ventilation
Lack of sports activities and opportunities for students.
Librarian in quite rude and not supportive at times

Admission:

I have applied for north campus colleges and other south campus colleges but due to CUET structure and cutt off being high I was not able to get into other prestigious collges which were above JMC in my preference list

What is the CW category cutoff in the Delhi University? I have not seen the CW list published in the DU UG lists.

The DU information Bulletin makes little mention of the procedure/selection under the CW category. Because there is no separate cut-off for this category, it is impossible to know whether one is eligible for the first, second, or third cut-off, and so on.

PROCEDURE:

Report on time for your priority category in the central conference hall near the Department of Botany on North Campus. Keep in mind that no documents are required for the CW category, but you should have an education concession certificate in the same format as described in DU information Bulletin, and the letterhead should include your complete address and contact information so that they can verify your certification. In addition, you should bring the PPO, DISCHARGE BOOK/SERVICE BOOK, and all other related documents in both original and self-attested copies.
If you have all of the required documents, they will give you a form to fill out with your information and preferences for colleges and courses in priority order.
You will receive an admission provisional slip addressed to the college's principal, most likely from the Administrative Block/Conference Hall, with your name on it.
When you receive the provisional admission slip, you have completed 80% of the process. After receiving your provisional slip, report to your assigned college with all of your documents in original and one set of self-attested copies. However, before enrolling in college, you must apply through the DU website student Dashboard. Take a printout of the same under the link that is still active.
Once the college has approved your admission, pay the fee immediately. There is no need to postpone the process to secure your admission.

What is the minimum cutoff for admission in Delhi University?

The cut-off depends on your choice of course and college. It varies every year and it can be as high as 99% and as low as 40%.

To give you a rough idea of DU Cut off, you require at least 94% marks for admission to science subjects. For commerce stream courses like B.Com, you must have scored 94% in the top 4 subjects including a language.

On the other hand, the cut-off for Humanities subjects must be between 90-92%. If you are interested in doing Hindi (Hons) or Sanskrit (Hons), the cut-off is very low for these programs. You can easily get a seat at St.Stephens with 66% marks in Sanskrit (Hons).

For South Campus, you can reduce 2-3% from the ones mentioned above. Take a look at the previous year’s DU cut-off for better understanding.
