Earlier I wanted to take admission in a college nearby and also did different courses but I did a lot of search and I did not get any benefits and the fees were also very high for all those colleges. The fees of DU SOL are very reasonable and the biggest thing is that it is open, so students do not even have to go to college, basically the student will appear in the exam. My college admission fees are all online based. I have to fill in my information on the (DUSOL) website and link my Aadhar card and also 10th and 12th class result has to be uploaded along with passport size photo After doing all this, after the whole process is over, lastly the fees process remains but before that we have to submit our form and And it takes 1-2 weeks to check all the information. If all your information is correct then you will get the payment option on your dashboard, then you make the payment, after that your ID card will be sent to you and your admission will be successfully done

The access of study was easiest. There was no attendance issue it's a long distance college. But since I love in Delhi I attended the Saturday Sunday classes they had and I was able to study from the good faculty available out there. Yes I was rejected from other colleges because of my low percentage in 12 boards . The admission is pretty easy you go to their website full up the form submit the required documents, pay the fees and it's done your admission is successful.

I didn't applied in or for any other colleges because I have already decided to choose school of open learning as it was the only college which could have provided me the freedom i needed. I just explained the reason above, hence there is no point repeating same thing again and again.. As far as admission process is concerned, every thing was handled by my father. I got 83 percentage in my 12th, which made me eligible and accepted by rules and norms of college.

One of my friends graduated from DU SOL. According to him there are certain things you learn which will be beneficial for your career ahead.
It is suggested that you go for DU SOL only if it's your remaining option. Because some reviews of the placements are not that good, also if you want to prepare for UPSC, do it without getting involved in a college schedule. Though the time is flexible, ultimately it is your choice.
You can transfer to DU Regular college from DU SOL, in the same course. However, there are a few key requirements to meet in order to be admitted to DU regular classes. You could get some advice from the following guidance:
It is a fact that nothing is exceptionally unique about regular college; hard work is the only way to succeed. You can pour yourself completely into making the most of your SOL year by learning something new and professional that will open doors for you in the future.
No, you won’t be promoted to next year in DU SOL, if you fail in all subjects. You will have to repeat that year. You will be promoted to the next year if you fail in less than 50% of the examinations. You will have to take the back examination for those subjects next year.
Since my brother is a student of the School of Open Learning (University of Delhi), he was able to offer better insight on the topic. Here is what he had to say about the improvement rule mandated by the institute.
So, if you want to opt for an improvement, you need to fill the UnderTaking form. Attach your original mark sheet with the form. In case you didn’t get the original mark sheet, you can contact SOL.
Yes, you can migrate from SOL DU to regular colleges. A few years back, the system of migration was discontinued. But now migration of students is allowed as both DU SOL and DU has semester base evaluation system.
Here is a video explaining the procedure of migration from SOL to Regular
If you have secured 60% marks in your first-year examination, then you can migrate from DU SOL to DU regular colleges.
DU SOL follows an annual system while the other colleges under Delhi University follow a semester system. Therefore, there is no possible migration in between the courses.
At DU, the semester system for UG courses was introduced back in 2011. Which made it difficult for DU SOL students to seek migration in the second or third year of their courses in regular college.
You can check here to see what types of facilities DU SOL provides.
