I applied to the top 10 colleges of DU, offering BA English honours. I scored 728/800 in my CUET exams and was allotted DCAC in the first list itself as there is no GD/PI to make up for marks. DCAC was on the 8th position of my list, I had applied to ( in order from 1-10) Hindu college, ST. Stephens, Kirori Mal college, Ramjas college, Miranda house, LSR, JMC, DCAC, IPCW and Venky. If I were better prepared for my entrance exams, I could have gotten a north campus college too, but I have no regrets as south campus offers more dedicated professors. The admission process involves giving a CUET exam at exam centres for compulsory subjects needed for chosen courses, calculating raw score and filling a pe refenece list based on marks scored.

When we got through admissions, Delhi University followed a cut-off process wherein 89 percent was the first cut-off for Students belonging to the SCHEDULED CASTE quota. There are five lists based on the seats filled. Seats are reserved for SC and ST (22.5 percent) in every college of DU. OTHER QUOTAS include the WARD Quota and CW quota for Defence personnel. They are superannuated quotas and they amount to 5 percent of the seats. Exams are held on a semester basis. 5-6 months is generally the gap between examinations. Class tests and assignments hold 25 marks. Don't have an idea about the marking scheme based on NEP 2020. The admission procedure takes around 3 months to complete which puts a toll on the mental health of the applicants. Smoothing of the admission procedure is a key that can be adjudged about.

I got admitted before the CUET was introduced, so for us it was pretty simple. All the forms and related information was available on du.ac.in Our cutoff was based on our 12th marksheet and everyone was admitted on the basis of that only
