The College of Vocational Studies is a constituent & Public college of the University of Delhi. It is a fully university-maintained institution administered by a statutory Governing Body. It embodies the ideal of a public-funded higher educational institution with an emphasis on inclusivity, integration, quality, and social equality. The CVS College was founded to minimize the gap between traditional University education by teaching language courses like French, German, and Spanish. The college has an experienced group of faculties to achieve its objective.

The CVS College has a faculty of 35+ members. It is a co-educational college and is one of the best colleges of the University of Delhi after North Campus colleges. The CVS College has been accredited Grade ‘A’ with a CGPA of 3.05 on a 4 point scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college has an exceptional placement cell that helps students getting placed in various companies.

CVS College Admission

College of Vocational Studies admission to the UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. And the admission to certificate courses is carried out on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam. The College of Vocational Studies admission process includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registrations for admission at the college start after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose their college and course preferences. The entire selection process is carried out via the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. The detailed College of admission process is as follows:

Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

College of Vocational Studies admissions are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. The table below lists the entrance exam accepted for various courses at Delhi University:

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences. 

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats. 

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check the seat allotment result by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

Well to be honest this college I never choosed I took admission in this college cuz I think taking a drop of a year isn't a good idea plus I wanted to do bachelor's In psychology and now I'm doing English hons. But this course isn't that bad actually I'm understanding the things and somehow it is picking up my intrest well if I compare my college to other college obviously other college is better in infrastructure but when I see the liberty of our college the environment of our college it is pretty much good our seniors are too humble to us and things are good societies are also good in our college which totally works and now I accepted this course actually so I don't think that much about this well next year I will apply again to other college and let's see will may I get admission in psychology hons. Or not. Heheheh

I applied to SRM University Sonepat for BA (Hons.) Psychology but since it was too expensive considering the hostel fees as well I chose CVS. The admission process is through CUET only. We have to apply for CUET examination and then register for CSAS in DU. The cutoff for Honours courses is quite high for all categories but for vocational courses it's comparatively lower.

*Admission process of every Delhi University college is through CUET exam held after 12th board examination *CUET is a computer based test held by NTA in MCQ format every Delhi University course has certain eligibility.once we give CUET exam the results are declared in two months then students get CUET score out of 800 they then apply it on Delhi University admission dashboard, upload their CUET score , 10th marksheet, 12th Marksheet and other documents for verification *They then ask you to rank colleges according to different courses like 1. No, admissions are done on the basis of current year CUET scores and not previous ones. You have to reappear for the exam.
