Ans. ARSD encourages UG and PG students to pursue research in various sciences and other faculty projects through its Innovation Cell and department-led projects. In science departments, such as Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, faculties have set up various well-equipped laboratories, such as a Computational Lab and IoT-enabled labs, and students are encouraged to engage in research about the projects they are working on and by doing some hands-on experiments and interdisciplinary projects. The Innovation Council organizes various hackathons and symposiums and also collaborates with industry partners to host events for students. The students also contribute articles or research papers for the college's research journal, or may choose to participate in DU's cluster innovation programmes.

Ques. What extracurricular opportunities are available for students at ARSD?

Ans. ARSD has over 35 student societies, providing students with various opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities. The Dramatics Society (Rangayan) and Music Society (Swaranjali) are very famous among students. How college works- Insights and reviews.

Student view on course curriculum

Very good. The subjects are interesting and useful in practical life as well. The course is very well demanded in today's generation. The 4th year includes research work which will give us lot of practical knowledge and experience. The improvements that can be done are shifting more to practical problems instead of just bookish knowledge.

Internship opportunity provided by the college and stipend

The companies that come for internships are EY, Wipro, Flipkart etc. The stipend we recieve is 10,000-15,000 monthly. The internships are offered to students from different courses. Bcom Hons and Bcom students are majorly placed into different roles.

Top company recruiting from the campus , average and highest package

The placements are really good. The students are eligible to do internships from the first year itself. But campus placement happens in the third year only. There is a placement cell in the college which is really active. The companies that visit the college are- EY, KPMG, Flipkart, Amazon, Deloitte etc. Above 200+ offers are made . The highest package is 21 LPA and the average packafe is 6-10 LPA. 70-80% students get placed. My plan is to either get a job or do MBA.

Total fees of the course

The fees for first year is 17,850. It might not be the same for the next 2 years but only minor changes will be there. Either the fees might increase a bit or decrease a little. There was no security deposit and any other admission fee, or any other additional charges for any facility. For category students the fees might be less. But there is not much difference. Fees is charged less for Economically weakeer section categories. And also admission to other category students are given at lower marks which makes it easy for them to get into the college. The college provides internship opportunities and placement opoortunities too. Big companies like EY, KPMG come for placements every year.

What does student says about campus

Very good infrastructure and campus. The campus is filled with greenery . The ground and sports facility is also great. Lot of inter college competitons are also held. There are a lot of societies working in the college which gives lot of experience and exposure. The library is very big. It has two floors. There are a ton of books related to all streams and fiction and of multiple authors. The classrooms are quite big with big benches and the classes are clean.

Student views on the faculty and course structure

The faculty is really good. The professors are very experienced and they teach very well. The science department of our college is also very active with research and stuff. The course structure has 7 semester in total. 3 core subjects in the first year and in addition to that we have Skill enhancement courses , Value added courses and General Elective according to the new education policy. The core subject paper is of 90 marks theory and internal marks are also added. Attendance is strict in the college. Attendance carry 6 marks. If the attendance is above 85% then only we'll get full marks.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

I applied for the Delhi university admission round. Where i had filled all the colleges of delhi university. My preference list had 42 colleges in total. I could not get into the north campus colleges like SRCC, HANSRAJ, HINDU because the cut off was really high for general category. I got confirmed admission form ARSD college only as I cleared the cut off. I did not get any rejection from any other college because i was not allotted in the first place. I had scored 743/800 whereas the cutoff for the top colleges were above 770 for general category. The admission process is , we have to give CUET entrance exam which is conducted by NTA then we will have the admission process in CSAS delhi university portal on the basis of our CUET marks. Majority students apply for Bcom Hons course because it is highly demanded. The cutoff generally goes really high for Bcom Hons in delhi university close to 770-780/800 in top colleges. You have high chances of securing a seat if you have 700+ .

Admission:

So I didn't really apply to any of the colleges I filled the preference sheet in the csas portal and I got selected in this college. I chose this college because it was very convenient for me, not that far and not that close from my house. No I didn't get any rejection from any other colleges. The admission process for my college is through CUET conducted by NTA, The eligibility for my course is atleast 45% in 10+2 and the exam accepted for my course is CUET only. CUET is the exam mostly preferred by the students, cutoffs for this exam for my course was 650 for general and around 550 for my category. Overall the admission experience is very simple and online.

? When CUET exam weren't introduced admission in DU was based on 12th results. and as per mine I find this college suitable. ? I heard the name of college back then and this was the only one I applied for. ? Now you have to give CUET exam, later a CSAS portal will be released for counseling amd then you can select the course and college as per choice.

Admission:

I was made to prepare a list of colleges that provided the course that I opted for. So I made a list of all thr college in accordance to my convenience and what I wished to get into. My first priority was obviously a north campus college such as hindu college, kirori mal, hansraj and likewise. Then I proceeded to add the rest of the topmost colleges that came under south campus. I somehow got the chance to give it a try for JMC too as it also provides 50% of its seats to christian minorties but I wasn't really looking forward to get into an all girls college for some reason, so I left it then and there.

To take admission in my College you just have to clear cuet and then sit for counseling and if you get enough marks you can get arsd

For admission you have to give CUET Exam. Eligibility is 12th pass. Course most preferred is BA Political science Hons. Cut off is very high for all relevant courses. Councelling of DU is done through CSAS Portal. It's open after the result of CUET and their is no hassle in admission process although you have to make all necessary documents ready.

Admission:

I chose this college specifically mailny because of its NIRF ranking of 4 which is higly impressive. The college also has a very big campus and is considered one of the best the country has to offer. Not to mention the prestige that comes with being able to study in a college affiliated directly with the university of delhi. The addmission process to the college is quite simple, just like any other Du college, ARSD also takes student on the basis of Cuet marks. You have to apply on the official websute of Delhi University and if your CUEt score is good enough you will be accepted. An improtant thing to note is that minorities do get to enjoy the benifit of having a lower cut off to get admitted.
