Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am into business and finance so I wanted to learn it more and B.Com (Hons) was the best thing for me. The curriculum makes the students industry ready in terms of theoretical knowledge and prepares us for real world applications. I feel the practical knowledge of this course can be improved for better results in placements. The exams are taken semester wise and the level is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Every year companies visit our college for internship fair and picks students for internship assistant manager ,marketer and business development analyst are some of the roles for which internship is provided in our college.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement are really good the big 4 company visit our college every year and around 60% students get placed. The average package is 6 lakhs and highest was 10 lakhs. My plan is to get an internship in the second year and I want to get a placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

I get ARSD through CUET exam so there was no registration fees there was only one fee which was 17250 for one year means two semesters. There are no lab fees and any other charges taken by the students cause I feel they are taken from the fees of the students. The fees for other categories are also the same but ews gets a fee relaxation and books free. There are many scholarships some are based on performance some are based on categories.

Campus Life

4

There is a big fest organised in our college every year and celebrities come there. Cultural fests are also organised and events are held in every months. The infrastructure of our college is incredible and the library is the best full of books ac centralised also it has internet library. Also our college has wi-fi facilities. Almost all sports are available and each sport has its own team in the college. There are many societies and there are many extra co curriculum activities.

Admission

I got ARSD through CUET so it was my 9th preference college and I scored 740/800 in CUET2024. I got this college on the basis of my marks. I didn't applied for any other university cause I wanted to come to Delhi University only because the exposure here is incredible. With CUET the admission process is very simplified now you just have to score good in CUET and you will get a good college and then you have to register for DU CSAS portal where you will get a college and then you have to pay your course fees.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is great. The students relationship with faculty is good and we always co-operate with each other also the teachers are very supportive. The teacher I like the most is Baljeet Ma'am because the way of her teaching is really fabulous. The faculties of commerce department are the best. There was no as such faculty which I do not like. The exams are taken semester wise and they are moderate level. Almost all students pass exam in my department. The course curriculum is very relevant and updated.

To be honest , unlike north campus shaheed bhagat singh evening college does not have strong campus placemnets . Wipro , TCS , Genpact and many other companies visited in 5th - 6th semester . their average package is around 1-2 lakhs per annum only . highest package would be around 3 lakh per annum . 10-20% of students gets placed only . my plan is to prepare for MBA for further studies while persuing some internships , or any data analytics or business analytics course , depending upon the interest .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d say the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is quite relevant and covers important subjects like Accounting, Finance, Law, and Management, which was one reason I chose this course. It does build a strong base for CA, MBA, or govt. exams, but some parts still feel too theory-based and outdated. DU should add more practical exposure, case studies, and industry-linked content. We usually have internals mid-semester and finals at the end — they’re manageable if you study regularly, but tricky if left for the last minute.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good at Hansraj. Students become eligible in their sixth semester to sit for campus placements. Some well known companies include Deloitte, ZS associates, Bain and Co., McKinsey, BCG, Pwc, KPMG, HDFC, Kotak Bank, and many more well known names. Highest package of this year went up to 24 LPA and average package stands at 7 LPA. The median package stands at 8 LPA. Most number of offers were made by finance and consulting companies and their roles. 80% of the students who sat for their placement got placed. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for the placement and get a decent package in finance background and after 2 years of good experience I plan on getting an MBA from a top B school.
