Remarks

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well it mostly depends on the student that how he proceed he college life in various aspects. The teaching faculty is quite good and if you are ready to co-operate and ready to put effort from your side you won't be going to disappointed. The course is quite good and it provides you in-depth knowledge and well after all it's a Delhi University College and study won't be compromised.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is pretty good and there are various societies and time to time you gets an opportunity to have internship from some good firms and the societies of the respective streams promotes the students and reffer their names for internship. I also had many offer but due to no proper knowledge and unwillingness within me restricted me from doing any sort of internship but if you wants to do internship, you gonna get pretty good opportunities

College Events

3

Time to time the college organises various festivals i.e. technical, cultural etc. These functions can be study related or also for the fun aspect. The annual fest also happens every single year and as per the budget the college invites various celebrities from various fields but mainly singer and comedian so that the crowd can get involved in spirit of enjoyment so that the celeb.are not just for the glimpse of the eyes and they perform and students joins them and makes a good scenario

Fee Structure And Facilities

The annual fee is not expensive at all. The fee varies from stream to stream, but overall not a single course have a large amout of fee. I had to pay 8000/- for the whole for B.Com(P). There are several mode of fee payment i.e. online payment,Paytm as because the fee directly deposit to the university,So you won't have any cash payment method. They gonna provide the fee slip so their is no chance of demanding extra fee and non transparency in fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think so that the college provide scholarship and because it comes under Delhi University it cannot provide it's own scholarship. Their is some reserved seats for various categories but there is no provision of scholarship at the time of admission

Campus Life

2

The campus is pretty average and the infrastructure is pretty normal. I personally won't recommend anyone my college from the perspective of social life, infrastructure, lab and workshops. It ranked amongst the very bottom due to the crowd and infrastructure. Gender ratio is pretty identical to any other institution i.e. 60% boys and 40% girls. But again from the perspective of Infrastructure and crowd I won't suggest you my college.

Hostel Facilities

3

I didn't applied for the hostel and the college don't have hostel facilities but there are abundant P.G. around the college. The average rental range is 5000-8000 depends upon what sort of room you wants i.e. normal, furnished, fully furnished. The more luxury you wants the more you have to pay.

Alumni/Alumna

Well it's a mixture some are good some are really bad. Their behaviour depends upon the time and situations. Around elections they gonna be so helpful and co-operative and you be like you have the best seniors but right after they gonna turn out to be same old guys who don't have to concern about you anymore. It's all about creating a hype and image in front of new students from election perspective.

Admission

Frankly speaking I didn't chose it willingly and I had no other option and that's why I opted b.com. actually I had my 12 done from medical stream (physics, biology, chemistry) in 2015 and I was unable to crack Neet and so I had no other choice than to take admission wherever I get and that's how I got b.com in swami shraddhanand college

Faculty

4.5

The teaching faculty is very good and quite co-operative and they put their best if the student is willing to obtain knowledge and keen to learn and to perform good. It's the case of the teaching faculty only, the non teaching staff is also very good and co-operative and they helps you as much as they can.

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.
