Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Admission Process 2026

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College admission to both UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. The admission process includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registration for admission to the college starts after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application and can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose [College + Course] preferences. The entire selection process is done via the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. The SBSC admission procedure is as follows:

Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

SBSC admissions are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. The table below lists the entrance exam accepted for various courses at Delhi University:

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences.

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

Founder Principal Dr. M.P.Thakore Gold Medal for the Best Boy Student of the college: This award is given to the best boy student of IIIrd year classes of the college.
Jagrani Devi Saxena Gold Medal: It is awarded to a third-year girl student enrolled on the basis of SC/ST concession.

Ques. Is there a way to modify the information entered by the applicant in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College application form after submission?

Like every course has separate block or building
Growing infrastructure Which is still in construction
College is pretty much affordable and hygienic, and you also got one shop for snacks

Over disciplined faculty Which is not that friendly

No Wi-Fi facilities is provided in the campus and internet signals are too week

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The Sim exams are for like six months, but we are giving in three months because of the late little and a late edition like the result for like 2 to 3 months. which effects first semester exam is in four months, and we have lot of burden like we are freshers

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

Small companies are hiring student for internship with very low statement. Students are getting into internship for the certificates so that they can make it better for placements and get place in better companies.

What are the placement opportunities in the college and highest package?

as I was fresher. I don't know much about placement and job opportunities in college, but I can surely tell that students are too good in studies and has good CGPA above eight are getting place with their efforts and no big companies are hiring students for small companies are hiring and average package like five lakh per annum and the highest of the 11,00,000 Which is good

Fees of the course per semester

I am a fresher I paid for one semester almost 18,000 for BCom programme in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College South campus and which is pretty much affordable for students and I have take the reservation benefits of ST as a ST candidate NI had everyone of my class, the same fees

Various events and fest of the college

Our college is organising and college. First, which is DeV on 23 October 2024, which is the first event I am going to attend in my college, which is kind of cultural fest of single college and the social environment is like students make group on first day and think that they will stay till the last of day of the collision and Get happy if somebody joined their group

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

The faculty two students is good and faculty relation. Some faculty relation are good and some don't give a seat to student. They teach and go. Sometimes they don't understand the general for being late in the class and absent. One of our member Shiv Shankara, which is the most friendly difficulty and the most senior faculty Shivam Jindal Sir, which is too nice to students. Some faculty don't tell us about the cancelled class. they tell us before one or two hours before the class and put blame on us that we don't check WhatsApp group and come college.

I choose this college for like hyper like this is the South campus College and there is a hybrid campus campus campus are not good. So I applied for preference list in order to North campus then South of government and I put in its own 13th preference and I got in this college in first round, and I also applied for a breed, but didn't get any college in 2nd cut-off College

Both Gargi and Shaheed Bhagat Singh are well-regarded colleges with equally good reputations. They are located in the same city and even their year of establishment is the same. The faculty pools are great. So choosing one over the now depends more on your preference. If you are serious about your academics and future you can go for the all-girls college, Gargi but if you want a more vibrant college experience, go for SBS.

As a whole, it can be said that Gargi has better placement opportunities while SBS has a tad bit better faculty pool.

Candidates must have completed class 12th from any recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in the best four subjects, which must include Mathematics and English, to be eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programs offered at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.

At CBS, there are two admissions processes:

Merit-based B.SC. (Computer Science) and entrance-based (BBA(FIA) and BMS).

To be admitted to Merit-based courses, you must meet the cutoff.

Every year, DU holds an entrance exam known as the DU-JAT for admission to entrance-based courses in SSCBS, administered by NTA. Admission to the BBA course with a specialization in Financial Investment Analysis is based on the score obtained in the test. The paper includes business-related Mathematics, Reasoning, English, and General Knowledge. Those who have cleared the entrance are called in.

However, the entrance exam is not the only admission criterion. When calculating the final score, the admission test score is given 65% weightage, while class 12th marks are given 35% weightage. You must await the university test notification. However, ensure that you are capable of succeeding in any situation.

I have taken an admission at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College for an Economics (Hons). Further, if I get KMC or Ramjas, should I give up SBSC for any of these north campus colleges?

There are reasons why the required cutoff for these colleges is more than SBSC. KMC and Ramjas also have better rankings. Many times these colleges were featured among the top 10 colleges in India. Also, if you want to pursue higher studies like M.A in Economics from DSE, then being from DSE will help. As the student crowd is more competitive at the north campus.

Apart from that huge fests and other cultural events are organized. The management staff is youthful and has no scope of miscommunication between them and the students. You can choose to stay at Radhey Krishna Residency, Mehrauli. They have the best rooms, healthier and tastier foods. It is also very affordable and the living experience is great . You also get direct transport from college to Mehrauli.

According to the reviews online, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce (SGGSCC) is a very well maintained institution. They have a proper infrastructure with a good faculty and student crowd. Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is also academically a good institute.

It is suggested that you do not go for Dyal Singh College (DSC) but opt for anyone among the other two mentioned.

Between SGGSCC and SBSC make your choice based on the location. If you belong to South Delhi, Noida or Gurgaon, then choose SBSC. If you are from any other part of Delhi choose SGGSCC.

If you are from an outstation choose SGGSCC as overall living cost in North Delhi is cheaper than South Delhi and you can also stay near North Campus which will help you interact with a much more diverse set of people.

One of my friends studied at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC). It is considered to be one of the best commerce colleges of Delhi University.

Their Economics department shares more or less the similar kind of attention as the commerce department. The college is also renowned for its student crowd, which is said to be the best in the university at par with Delhi College of Arts and Commerce (DCAC).

Unlike the other commerce departments, placements of the Economics department is comparatively less. But it is gradually getting better with more exposure. Students here mostly study and learn on their own rather than depending on the faculty. So, you have to keep these points in mind before getting admission here.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College does not offer hostel facilities to the students. The students who come from far away have to apply for nearby PGs or rental rooms. The rent of these rooms vary from INR 7 thousand to INR 15 thousand per month.
