Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) is an affiliate of Delhi University.Founded in 1967, SBSC is a coeducational college.The college offers UG courses in the fields of Arts, Commerce and Science. At postgraduate level, the college offers only one M.Com course. Admission to UG courses is based on CUET UG scores and CUET PG for admission to PG courses. After that, candidates have to register for the centralized DU CSAS seat allocation process.

NAAC has accredited SBSC with Grade 'A' and a CGPA score of 3.26 on a 4 point scale. SBSC has also been ranked fifth among all colleges of Delhi University with a perfect score of 10 out of 10 for having highly qualified and experienced faculty members.

SBSC Placement and Training Cell organizes multiple training sessions, including pre-placement presentations, to support students preparation with entrepreneurial and managerial skills for campus based interviews. According to the NIRF report 2025, during the 2023 - 24 placement season, 262 students got placed with a median salary of INR 5.00 LPA and in 2022-23, 294 students were placed with a median salary of INR 6.00 LPA.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Admission Process

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College admission to both UG and PG courses is based on scores obtained in the CUET examination. The admission process includes appearing for the CUET examination and then appearing in the CSAS seat allotment. Registration for admission to the college starts after CUET result declarations. Candidates must select Delhi University while filling out the CUET application and can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose [College + Course] preferences. The entire selection process is done via the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. The SBSC admission procedure is as follows:

Step 1: Appear for the Entrance Examination

SBSC admissions are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. The table below lists the entrance exam accepted for various courses at Delhi University:

Step 2: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill college and course preferences.

Step 3: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation will be done in multiple rounds for all programs. Seats are allocated based on scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) or other national-level tests, combination of college and program chosen, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.

Step 4: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Candidates can check their seat allotment results by logging into Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) dashboard. Upon acceptance of a seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the admission fees.

Founder Principal Dr. M.P.Thakore Gold Medal for the Best Boy Student of the college: This award is given to the best boy student of IIIrd year classes of the college.
Jagrani Devi Saxena Gold Medal: It is awarded to a third-year girl student enrolled on the basis of SC/ST concession.
Department of Commerce M.Com. Gold Medal: It is awarded to a student who has passed M.Com. (Final) securing maximum aggregate marks but not less than 70% marks.

Ques. Is there a way to modify the information entered by the applicant in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh College application form after submission?

Ans. No, once an applicant submits the application, it cannot be modified or changed in any way. Like every course has separate block or building
Growing infrastructure Which is still in construction
College is pretty much affordable and hygienic, and you also got one shop for snacks

Academic structure and curriculum in the campus

The Sim exams are for like six months, but we are giving in three months because of the late little and a late edition like the result for like 2 to 3 months. which effects first semester exam is in four months, and we have lot of burden like we are freshers

What are the internship opportunities in the campus?

Small companies are hiring student for internship with very low statement. Students are getting into internship for the certificates so that they can make it better for placements and get place in better companies.

What are the placement opportunities in the college and highest package?

as I was fresher. I don't know much about placement and job opportunities in college, but I can surely tell that students are too good in studies and has good CGPA above eight are getting place with their efforts and no big companies are hiring students for small companies are hiring and average package like five lakh per annum and the highest of the 11,00,000 Which is good

Fees of the course per semester

I am a fresher I paid for one semester almost 18,000 for BCom programme in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College South campus and which is pretty much affordable for students and I have take the reservation benefits of ST as a ST candidate NI had everyone of my class, the same fees

Our college is organising and college. First, which is DeV on 23 October 2024, which is the first event I am going to attend in my college, which is kind of cultural fest of single college and the social environment is like students make group on first day and think that they will stay till the last of day of the collision and Get happy if somebody joined their group

Faculty and learning experience in the campus

The faculty two students is good and faculty relation. Some faculty relation are good and some don't give a seat to student. They teach and go. Sometimes they don't understand the general for being late in the class and absent. One of our member Shiv Shankara, which is the most friendly difficulty and the most senior faculty Shivam Jindal Sir, which is too nice to students. Some faculty don't tell us about the cancelled class. they tell us before one or two hours before the class and put blame on us that we don't check WhatsApp group and come college.

I choose this college for like hyper like this is the South campus College and there is a hybrid campus campus campus are not good. So I applied for preference list in order to North campus then South of government and I put in its own 13th preference and I got in this college in first round, and I also applied for a breed, but didn't get any college in 2nd cut-off College

Life as a 2nd year at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College

Likes

NCC is available for boys which is good for overall development.
The library is great, it is fully air conditioned, there is lots of space to sit and read/study.
The sports ground is underconstruction and will have the best of facilities

Dislikes

NCC is not available for girls in the college.

Admission:

I got admission through CUET so not much was in my hands. However, it is the best college for commerce in the south campus of delhi university. The cutoff for this college was high only. I got 740/800 and still got this college. I hd no quota of course so here i am. It accepts only CUET score for admission.

My experience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College so far !!

The college has a vibrant campus life filled with numerous clubs and societies . From consulting to drama all kinds of societies are there to cater your interests. Various sports clubs are also available . This societies and club help one to develop.
The principal is very ambitious and is continuously working towards improving the infrastructure and other facilities at college campus.

Admission:

To get admission into any college of University of Delhi you need to appear in CUET ( Common University Entrance Exam ). Cutoffs vary from college to college depending on how many students apply for that college. I simply chose SBSC over other colleges i was eligible for because it was the best option i had and since i didn't want to go to a girls college so preferred SBSC over DRC and IP and also over ARSD, SGGSCC and all other colleges at this level. I also got admitted in christ Bangalore ( Central Campus ) and Narsee Monjee ( Mumbai Campus ). But these institutions didn't seem worth it and Delhi University in general has a better reputation.

I liked collage's cleanliness too they have attention on it to keep collage clean and here about 40 dustbins in collage
I like collage's infrastructure and its design this is just awesome like easy to go anywhere in collage and no unnecessary cuts like simple good looking building.
Collage also ragging free and here no racism and seniors are helpful and also give notes and provide facility of notification on whatsapp groups that none miss it.

Here also have garbage outiside the collage yeah its not responsibility of collage but yeah for a good ranked collage of du it should be cleaned i guess.
I didnot liked a thing that morning library is under construction and evening library has less compatibility so i forced myself to go and study in any empty classes in leave hours.

Yeah by my cuet scores i got collage in du in 1st list of du admission but as i have applied to 2nd list so i got shaheed bhagat singh collage. If you ask for what collage i want so thats ramjas collage in north campus because in my hometown the collage is famous as the best collage for maths hons students. First i have applied in cuet in 2023 in about February month and then i got results in about april (got too late this year bcz of neet controversy of nta this got late because nta owns that exam coducting power.) Then i got 1st list and i got Ram lal aanand collage and then i applied as for 2nd list and i this i got the collage shaheed bhagat singh in which i am right now. But i didnot upgraded in 3rdist so i got this and this was the perocess and cutoff was like 350 in 2nd list for sbsc and 410 for ramjas collage.

I have applied in Banaras Hindu University although I got seat there but I didn't get my preferred course there and also the crowd and exposure of BHU is not as good as Delhi University. So I preferred DU over BHU and joined this institution.

Overall a good college for studies

There is not much sports facility as the ground is still under construction.
The campus area is very small and the classes are also average.

Infrastructure should be improved because it is a very old building, so it should be repaired regularly.

Admission:

I chose this college among other colleges because this college has a very low fee structure as compared to other colleges. My percentage was 90.50%, and now, direct admission was taken. There was no entrance at that time; direct admission took place, so in my percentage, the best college that I was getting was Shaheed Bhagat Singh College( Morning). I first applied to the College of Vocational Studies in 1st cut-off, so my seat was reserved. After that, I was admitted to this college at the next cut-off. The best part is it is best for commerce students and has fewer fees as well as the best college I was getting in my percentage was SBSC.

The overall infrastructure of the college is above average and the library is the best place in the college.

Dislikes

The size of the college campus is smaller than the other DU colleges. As, It is spraed in 10 acres only.
The sports facilities in the college is not available in the college. Also, The sports Complex is under construction.

Admission:

I also applied for University of Allahabad where i got select for BCA in Data Science. But Still I choose this college because of the reputation of Delhi University and the exposure that I am getting here. As I choose St. Stephen's College as my first perefernce. But The cutoff was higher than that I scored. The Admission in the college is on the basis of the CUET Score.

Honest Opinion of SBSC

Dislikes

The campus excluding ground is very small in size, there is no hostel facility, the location is chirag delhi which has very tight and narrow roads

Admission:

Other than this I only applied for Indraprastha University, Delhi where I got admission in VIPS ehich is one of their best but Delhi University is more prestigious than IPU according to many people so I preferred SBSC No I did not get rejected from any college but my score was not enough to apply for North Campus colleges of Delhi University otherwise I would have applied and preferred admission there The eligibility now is through a common entrance exam called CUET and the average score required is between 730-760 Marks out of 800 Marks to get admission in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, General Quota

Admission to the UG course of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is based on the merit of CUET UG through CSAS Portal. The registration process for second round counseling has been closed. You can register for the third round counseling and take part in the counseling session.
