Ques. I got around 720 score in CUET, can I get admission in SBSC for B.Com or BA Hons, or should I try other colleges also?
Ans. Yes, you can try SBSC, but admission is not 100% sure. Cutoff for top courses like B.Com Hons goes very high, around 800+ score sometimes. For BA courses also cutoff is high but little less. You should fill multiple colleges in preference list so chances become more and safe side also.
Ques. I want to know if SBSC is good for placements and future career, or should I choose another DU college if I get a similar course option?
Ans. SBSC is a good college under the Delhi University, and many big companies come for placement every year. But top DU colleges like SRCC or Hindu have little better placement. Still, SBSC give good exposure, societies and internships help a lot. If you get the same course in higher college, then choose that; otherwise, SBSC is also a good option.
Ques. I want to know if attendance is very strict in SBSC, and if I can give the exam if my attendance is low or below the required percentage.
Ans. Yes, attendance is strict in SBSC. The student must have around 66% attendance in all subjects; otherwise not allowed to sit in the exam. Many students ignore starting, but later face problems. Internal marks also depend on attendance, so it affects the result. Better to attend class regularly and not take risks.
Ques. I am thinking of joining SBSC, but I want to know the real placement scenario, like average package and how many students actually get placed every year?
Ans. Placement in SBSC is decent but not for all students. Around 160+ offers and 40+ companies come in the placement season. The average package is around 5-6 LPA and highest goes above 20 LPA sometimes. Many students also go for higher studies, so placement depends on skills and effort.
Ques I am coming from another city, so I want to ask if SBSC provide hostel facilities or I have to manage PG, and what is the real situation?
Ans. SBSC do not have a hostel facility on campus. Students from outside mostly stay in PG or rented rooms near the college. PG cost depends on the area, but Delhi is a little expensive. You need to manage food and stay by yourself. Many students share room to reduce cost and manage easily.
