Students also ask

Ques. I miss CSAS preference filling what happen my admission?

Ans. If the preference filling, then a big problem happens. Without filling the choice, no seat allotment comes. CUET score alone is not enough. Must register and fill out college + course properly in the CSAS portal. If you miss the deadline, then mostly no chance of admission in DU colleges like SGNDKC.

Ques. I choose wrong CUET subjects. Can I still get admission to SGNDKC?

Ans. If the subject does not matching course requirement then admission is not possible. DU, check the subject combination strictly. Even high marks do not help if the wrong subjects are chosen. So must select the correct CUET subjects as per the course, like maths for B.Sc or accountancy for B.Com.

Campus is small and lacks proper infrastructure and playground. Teaching quality is decent but staff support is not good. Fees are affordable. Safety around the college can be a concern, especially during evening and night time. Read More

Students also ask

Ques. I get low CUET score. Can I still get SGNDKC admission easily?

Ans. If the score is low, then admission little difficult but not fully impossible. Some courses have a lower cutoff, like the BA program or Hindi. Last rounds also help sometimes. Category quota also matters. Better keep backup colleges also. Admission fully depends on CUET score and cutoff only, 12th marks are not counted.

Ques. I did not upload documents properly. Will my SGNDKC admission get cancelled later?

Ans. Yes problem can happen. Document verification very important step. If a wrong or missing document is found, then admission can be cancelled anytime. Even after the fee payment. So upload the correct marksheet, CUET scorecard and certificates carefully. College check all documents before final confirmation of admission.

Ques. I get seat in the first round. Should I wait next round for better?

Ans. If a better college or course is available, then I can wait for the next round. But risk is also there because the current seat can go if the wrong upgrade option is chosen. Many students freeze seat to stay safe. Better check the cutoff trend and preference list carefully before the decision. Choice depends on risk-taking and priority of course.

Ques. I pay admission fee, but did not report to the college. What will happen next?

Ans. If the fee is paid but not complete process then admission can be cancelled. Final reporting and document check very important step. College verifies all details before confirming. Students also ask

Ques. I scored near the last round cutoff. Can I still get admission SGNDKC course?

Ans. If the score is near the last cutoff, then chances are there, but not sure. Depends on seat availability and round movement. Many time cutoff drop little in later rounds, but not always. Category and preference also matter. Better fill more courses and colleges to stay safe because the cutoff changes every year.

Ques. I want B.Com Hons. How safe a score should I target for CUET marks?

Ans. For the safe side, target a very high score of 750+ or more. Because B.Com Hons is the most competitive course, and cutoffs go very high in DU colleges. A lower score can work in later rounds, but risky. Always aim higher to get a better college and course easily without stress.

Ans. If no placement, then many option still there. Can go for higher studies like MBA, M.Com or prepare for a government exam. Many students also do an internship and then a job outside campus. College placement is not the only way. Skill and experience matter more. Try off campus job, also using LinkedIn and job portals.

Ans. If the package is low, then think carefully. First job helps to get experience, which is very important. Many students start with a low salary and then grow fast after 1-2 years. Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College (SGNDKC) FAQs

Ques. Can I change college after taking admission in SGNDKC in the next round process?

Ans. Yes possible in some cases. If the upgrade option is chosen in CSAS, then the seat can change in the next round. But if the freeze is done, then no change happens. Many students use upgrades to get a better college or course. But risk is also there because the new seat depends on the cutoff and availability. So choose the option carefully.

Ques. How many preferences should I fill in CSAS for safe admission in DU colleges?

Ans. Better fill many preference not only a few. More options give more chances to get a seat. If only 2-3 college choose, then the risk is high. Students should fill a mix of high, medium and low cutoff colleges. This helps in getting at least one seat in the counselling process easily.

Ques. Can I get admission without CUET if I have a very high 12th-grade marks score?

Ans. No admission without CUET is not possible now. DU changed system, and CUET is compulsory for all UG courses. Even if 12th marks are very high still do not count in admission. Only the CUET score decides seat allotment in colleges like SGNDKC. The exam very important for admission.

Ques. What happens if I miss the document verification after seat allotment in the SGNDKC admission?

Ans. If the document verification then admission can be cancelled. This step very important after seat allotment. College check all documents before final confirmation. If the student does not upload or verify in time, then the seat goes to another student. Always complete the process on time to avoid problems later.

Ques. Is attendance important in SGNDKC, or can I skip classes regularly without issue?

Ans. Attendance important in DU colleges. If there is low attendance, then problems come in the exam and internal marks. Some colleges are also strict about 67% attendance rule. Students should attend classes regularly to avoid issues. Also helps in study and teacher support during the semester.

Asmita Khandelwal
Sritama Dey,Studied at Symbiosis International University, Poona (Pune) (2020)

It majorly depends on your choice. If you want your career to lead you to write and the media industry or a manager in a corporate office.

It is seen that many students pursue English Hons. and then prepare for UPSC or a Master’s degree in Journalism or Mass Communication. It totally depends on you and where your interest lies.

What college is better for a B.Com (Hons) course among Dyal Singh, Sri Guru Gobind, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa, or Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma?

Sabeer Chalana
Priyam Kumar,B.Com(H) Bachelor of Commerce Degrees & Finance, University of Delhi (2003)

All the mentioned colleges are good in their own way. But it is important to know the college is not important but your approach towards your course.

B.Com (Hons.) is a very prestigious course and it demands a great deal of dedication and concentration. Getting admission to any of these colleges means that your interest is genuine.

Consider enrolling yourself into any of the professional courses also as the syllabus for professional courses and B.Com (Hons) are quite similar. Go for ICWA due to the fact that it does not have the requirement of articles.

These 3 years in college will shape up your career ahead. If you score good marks and understand all the concepts and are truly invested in the subject, then after a while the college name would not matter, as your skills and knowledge will be given more precedence.

How good is Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College?

Srinivas GuptaMBA from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (2017)

One of my friends graduated from this college. It is a small college with a decent crowd and a good faculty, but what really matters is if it is fulfilling your requirements.

  • If you enjoy sports, this may not be the college for you.
  • In addition, the folk dance team is the best in the entire DU community.
  • Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa at DU is in Dev Nagar. The neighborhood is not much appreciated by the students.
  • Since it is DU, the faculty members have years of educational experience, which is actually really helpful.
  • The campus is big. But it is average when it comes to maintenance.
  • The placements are also good, and students are known to perform moderately.
Categories Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College
Course Fee 46,000
Placement Percentage 60-70%
Highest CTC 12 LPA
Average CTC 5 LPA
Recruiting Companies TCS, Citi Bank, ZS Associates, HCL, etc.

Overall, it is like any other college, with an average academic performance and curriculum. You can go for it as it promises a DU tag. But ultimately it is your decision.

What is your review of SGND Khalsa college Delhi University?

Prakash VermaB.Com(Hons) College Of Vocational Studies,Delhi University (2017)

Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College was established as Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa Post-graduate (Evening) College. Later, it was made into a morning college. According to the reviews online, it is a really good college.

  • It is well known that it has a very small campus but is a lively one.
  • The professors are very kind and polite. You can approach them with any of your questions but the same is not the case with the administrative people.
  • Although you can’t keep your expectations high when it comes to placement cells. They recruit but not in huge numbers.
Categories SGND Khalsa College
Course Fee 46.27 K
Highest CTC 15-16 LPA
Average CTC 6-7 LPA
Recruiting Companies TCS, HP, Tata Steel, Oyo, etc.

It is managed by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and happens to be among the few run by them. They take inspiration from the teachings of Sikh Gurus and give it all to humanity. The approach is rather holistic and provides extracurricular opportunities with state-of-the-art academia.
