Students also ask

Ques. I didn’t appear in CUET on the first day and missed a few subjects. Can I still add those later or sit other date for Kalindi College admission 2026?

Ans. DU/CUET allows you to book multiple subject slots before closing the CUET 2026 exam window. If you miss one day, you cannot add after the NTA window closes, unless NTA open special window. Your scores of subjects you did attempt still count for CSAS and the Kalindi College merit list, but incomplete subjects can reduce your score and eligibility chances.

Ques. I am worried about CSAS seat allotment after result, how many rounds, and what if I don’t get a Kalindi College seat in the first round?

Ans. After the CUET result, the University of Delhi CSAS UG runs multiple seat allotment rounds based on merit and your priority choices. If you don’t get Kalindi College in the first round, you will automatically be considered in the next rounds till seats are filled. You can upgrade your choice in the next rounds, but you must accept or reject the seat in time, else lose the chance.

Student Review

Khushi, Students at Kalindi College appreciate the friendly faculty, affordable fees, and active campus life with events and societies. The B.Sc (Hons.) Computer Science course has moderate exams, practical learning, and supportive teachers. Read more.

Students also ask

Ques. I want to know if the total fees shown for Kalindi College courses include exam, security deposits and misc charges or if there are any extra fees I must pay later?

Ans. Mostly, the fees shown for Kalindi College courses are just the tuition fee portion of the total cost, and the official fee structure also has a security fee, exam fee, deposits and other charges to be paid separately. So the actual amount you pay per year can be slightly higher than the listed course fee, and it might differ year to year.

Ques. I hear many different fee numbers for Kalindi College courses. Is that because UG and PG fees differ a lot and change every year?

Ans. Yes, fees across Kalindi College courses vary widely because UG and PG fees differ, and also, University of Delhi colleges update fees yearly. For example, B.Sc (Hons) and BA (Hons) can be around INR 30–INR 40k total, while PG MA fees are lower. Fees you see online might be old or indicative, so always check the official notification after admission.

Kalindi College Admission Process 2026

  1. Appear for CUET UG / CUET PG

Candidates must appear in CUET-UG 2026 (for undergraduate programmes) or CUET-PG 2026 (for postgraduate programmes) with the correct subject paper(s) as prescribed for the chosen course. Admission to Kalindi College is not possible without a valid CUET score.

  2. Register on DU CSAS Portal

After the declaration of CUET results, candidates must register on the CSAS (Centralised Seat Allocation System) portal of the University of Delhi. During registration, students are required to fill in personal and academic details and pay the prescribed CSAS registration fee. Registration is considered incomplete without fee payment.

  3. Fill Programme and College Preferences

Students must carefully choose their course and college preferences and select Kalindi College for the course they want. The preference order should be filled properly because seat allotment depends on CUET score, category, and the order of preferences. If the order is filled wrong, the seat may not be allotted correctly.

  4. Seat Allocation
University of Delhi release seat allotment list in many rounds. Seat allotment depend on CUET score, category (UR / SC / ST / OBC / EWS), course eligibility and seat availability. Cutoff marks is not the same every round, they change again and again.

  5. Upload Documents for Verification

After seat allotment, students need to upload all required documents online for verification. If any document is missing, not clear or wrong, then the document can be rejected or verification can get late.

  6. Pay the Admission Fee

After college verify the documents, students must pay admission fee on time to confirm seat. If fee is not paid in given time, seat may be cancelled automatically.

  7. Reporting to Kalindi College
After admission confirmation, students may have to visit Kalindi College physically for original document checking as per DU or college notice. After that students can start attend classes regular.

Students also ask

Ques. I am complete the CUET and CSAS registration properly, but how can I improve my chances of getting a seat in Kalindi College if my first cut-off is not enough?

Ans. If your score is not enough in first cut-off, don’t worry too much. DU gives many rounds of seat allotment. In the next rounds, your same CUET score is again considered. You can also change your preference order before final allotment if needed. If you stay active and make choices carefully, chances can become a little better in later rounds.

Ques. I heard CSAS also do simulated list and mop-up rounds. What do they mean, and how does it affect my Kalindi College admission chances?

Ans. Before the first real seat allotment, DU released one simulated list. It shows which college and course you may get according to your score. After seeing this, you can change your preference order. The mop-up round happens later when some seats are empty because students leave. In that time, you can also try again for a seat if available.

Courses First Round (Closing marks) Last Round (Closing marks)
MA Political Science 219 214
MA Hindi 196 184
MA Sanskrit 103 75

Analysis

  • Commerce & Arts courses show the highest demand (650–767 range).
  • Science cutoffs fluctuate significantly (Physics dropped 114 marks).
  • Geography saw an increase (670 to 707), proving that later rounds may increase or decrease.

Conclusion: Cutoffs depend on demand, seat movement, and category dynamics.

Students also ask

Ques. I see cutoffs drop in later rounds sometimes. Does that mean if I wait for a later round, my Kalindi College cutoff mark can go down?

Ans. Yes, sometimes in later rounds cutoff marks go down. This happens because many students already take seat in the first round or have upgraded to other colleges. So competition become little less in the next rounds. If your CUET score is near the cutoff, you may get a seat in the second or third round. But it does not always drop, sometimes it also increases.

Ques. I don’t understand cutoff numbers. Are these marks minimum CUET score needed for a specific Kalindi College course every year?

Ans. Cutoff numbers mean the minimum CUET score which is needed to get admission in that course in that round. It changes every year. It depends on the number of students applying, total seats, exam difficulty and course demand. So, one year cutoff can be high, and next year it can be lower for the same course.

Kalindi College Placement

Kalindi College Placement 2025 report has not released yet. According to the NIRF 2025 overall report, students from 3-year UG programmes received a median salary of around INR 2.94 LPA. Placement Analysis

  • Placement percentage is modest.
  • Majority of students opt for higher education.
  • Placement cell “Kryptus” provides resume training, internships & workshops.
  • Stronger in commerce and professional courses than pure sciences.

Students also ask

Ques. I am worried that Kalindi College placed only a few students. Does that mean placements are bad, and what real placement help can I expect?

Ans. Kalindi College placement happen but not as big as big universities or DU's top colleges. Only a few students got placement in the last year NIRF data, around 18 out of many graduating students. But placement cell Kryptus helps with resume workshops, interview practice, internship and career sessions. Some students also find off-campus jobs with the help of cell and networking.

Ques. I want to know if the highest or average salary for Kalindi College placement is available, not just the median salary.

Ans. Median salary is the official number from NIRF (2.94 LPA), but the highest or average numbers vary across reports. Some review sources say the highest package can be around INR 7-8 LPA or more in some years, and average around INR 3-4 LPA with popular recruiters like Wipro, TCS, Reliance, Bajaj, etc. So the real outcome depends on your skills and the company's visit year-wise.

IIRF Journalism 68

Students also ask

Ques. I see Kalindi College is in the NIRF 201–300 band. Does that mean it is a bad college, or how should I understand this ranking for my decision?

Ans. NIRF 201–300 band does not mean the college is bad. It just means it is not in top ranking colleges list. Still, it is ranked at the level of many colleges. Ranking depends on many things like teaching, placements, research and facilities. Many students still choose Kalindi for commerce and arts courses because of the DU name.

Ques. I hear different rankings from Collegedunia and IIRF. How do these rankings work, and which one should I trust most for Kalindi College?

Ans. Different ranking websites use different methods to give a rank. Some see student reviews, some see placement and faculty data. NIRF is a government ranking, so many students trust it more. But other rankings also give an idea about popularity and subject strength. So better for you see all ranking but not depend only on that while deciding.

For the sake of the students.

Evaluation criteria followed in the campus

Our curriculum offers a wide range of activities that boosts our both intellectual level as well as knowledge standard as for each subject we have presentation which consists of 20 marks which is very interesting activity and then we have book review which also indulge in reading activities. Attendance consists of only 6 marks but it depends whether the student is regular in the class and how they interact in the class. This makes the overall course program effective one. Teaching methods are upto the mark as each unit of the subject holds a particular hours and this proper distribution makes the syllabus complete in a proper framework and then we have plenty of time for the preparation of the exams. We are provided with study leave before and during the examination. Our examination held in two slots For hons, students: 9:30AM-12:30PM For programme students: 2:30 PM- 5:30 PM

Internship opportunity in various organization

We have different companies and roles under internships like Health.co, summer internship TEACH FOR GREEN, Right action for youth social marketing intern,KIND BEINGS NGO,Gramiksha NGO. KRYPTUS ,our placement cell of Kalindi college organize a wide range of internship opportunities from companies like BAJAJDEKHO,Limitless stree,INGLU GLOBAL,etc. There are various collaboration also like with T.I.M.E.institute.

Why students choose this course?

Honestly speaking in our department, there is no campus placement like thing. It is usually in the maths department and the students pursuing economic hons have their college placements. So students of our department mostly pursue higher studies and most of the students go for govt.exams preparation The main motto of choosing this course is that we can aim for our passion that is inclined to GOVT EXAMS like ssc, upsc, etc. After I get the degree,my personal plan is to prepare for the UPSC.

Year-wise fees structure of the course and scholarship option for EWS category students

When I have admitted in year 2022 in this college then at that time the yearly fees of our department i.e BA(PROGRAMME) is somewhere around 9.6k. But now I am in the third year ,I am paying Rs.10,530 for the same. The distribution of the fees is as followed: University development fee:1200 Development fee:1500 Institutional fee:1000 Tution fees:180 FEES OF B.COM(HONS.)-12630 BA.HONS( JOURNALISM)-23080 BA.HONS(GEOGRAPHY)- 14130 BSC HONS.- 14630 BSC HONS(COMPUTER SCIENCE)-30580 B.Voc- 26333 MA(pol sc) and MA( SANSKRIT)- 6616 University also provides scholarship to the students belonging to economic weaker sections and belonging to OBC,SC AND ST.

Various clubs and facilities available in the campus

In this college, there is less exposure in campus life but we have different clubs out there like music club, drama club, dance club, and different societies like debating societies, mehandi clubs, etc. Our college has a wide range of books and journals which is very beneficial for the students.Usually we have a great time in library. Classes has projectors but it is not widely used in the classes. But we have good labs and cyber centres for both students and teachers. Our college has different sports like KABADDI,BOXING,JUDO, VOLLEYBALL,HANDBALL,KHO-KHO,etc. There is well equipped room for sports students and also there is gym and gym instructor too.

Students view on faculties

The faculty to students ratio is around 1:5 which is pretty good. Faculty is very experienced and their behaviour towards students is very calm and lenient and that's why they are approachable. We have 2 exams in a year,i.e semester wise Aggregating SGPAs of both the semester,we get CGPA of a year. We have theory paper of 90 marks and 70 for the internal examination so it makes the student alert and attentive in the class and also that's why there is high attendance margin.

How to get admission in the college and what sets the college stand out ?

As I have admitted in the year 2022, there has been a newly started an entrance examination for the central university i.e CUET( CENTRAL UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION) which is one of the preferred exam for the 12th passout students as it offers many colleges and universities for the UG PROGRAMMES. The admission process was totally online. After CUET result, I have registered on DU csas portal in which I have allotted my college as my preferences filled there. I have applied to different north campus colleges like daulat ram college,Miranda house, st.stephens, hindu college, etc. In the year 2022, university provides 3 -4 cutoff lists in which we have the options to upgrade and even freeze the college in which we have to make the payment after getting allotted to any college according to the fee structure of that college. I have also applied in JNU ,but I didn't get French (hons.) instead of it I get Arabic (hons) that's the reason I prefer this college over JNU

Earlier admission was on merit basis but now it is through cuet. How is SPM and Kalindi college of Delhi University?

Priya JoshiB.A. (Journalism) from Kalindi College, University of Delhi (2016)

One of my friends studied at Kalindi College of Delhi University. According to her, it is a really good institution and offers decent opportunities. SPM is also a good college and it has its fair share of pros and cons. It is a well facilitated institution. Here are some facts about both of them:

Kalindi College:

  • They have a highly experienced faculty. They are also helpful towards the students, you will get to learn a lot from them.
  • The student crowd is diverse.
  • Students here have to maintain a 80% attendance, otherwise they will not be able to sit for the examinations.
  • Being in Delhi, it offers enough industrial exposure.

SPM:

  • It has active clubs and societies students can take part in.
  • They give a fair opportunity to every student.
  • It also has one of the best auditoriums in all DU colleges.
  • Their canteen is affordable and offers hygienic food.
  • The administration and faculty are not up to the mark. They are not cooperative with the students.
  • The faculty members do not take initiative to encourage practical works, allow creativity, have valid arguments, etc.
  • Also the college does not provide hostel facilities so people either have to live as paying guests or have to commute on a daily basis.

So even though you might get ample opportunities like internships there is no active participation for this SPM lags a lot behind than the other DU colleges.

Overall SPM is a below average college where management does not put the slightest efforts to make it a better place. Therefore Kalindi will be a better option.

How is Kalindi College of DU?

Saurabhi Singhstudied at University of Delhi (2019)

According to the reviews online, securing a seat in Delhi University is always a good choice. Their curriculum is also good and rigorous. The academic performance depends on the students. DU colleges are always a bit strict when it comes to academics. Thus securing a seat in a DU college is comparatively tougher. You have to be interested in the course you are willing to pursue, because they will require your full attention and dedication.

DU colleges also have a higher cut off than most of the other colleges, thus getting admission in a DU college is really a big achievement.

Kalindi College is really good, it has a highly experienced and helpful faculty. The science department is considered the best among others.

Apart from studies, it has a great drama society. If you are interested, you can opt for it and other extracurricular activities such as dance, sports, NSC, NSS, etc.

Transportation here is quite easy. The nearest Metro and bus stop is Rajendra Place and Delhi Public Library, Patel Nagar. Overall it is a really good college to opt for especially if you are willing to go for the science department.

The college offers admissions to all the courses through the Delhi University Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS). The Kalindi College admission process is based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores conducted by NTA. Admissions to UG courses will be through the CUET UG exam whereas candidates who wish to apply for the PG courses are required to apply for the CUET PG exam. It is followed by a centralized seat allotment process by Delhi University through the DU CSAS portal.

The admission process for Delhi University (DU) varies depending on the program (Undergraduate, Postgraduate, or Doctoral) and the type of course (general, professional, etc.). The registration process for admission to Kalindi College generally starts after the declaration of CUET result. Candidates who selected Delhi University while filling out the CUET application can register themselves on the DU CSAS portal and choose their and available course preferences. The entire selection process is done via the DU CSAS portal for both UG and PG courses in multiple rounds. Candidates can check the seat allotment result on the CSAS dashboard.
