Students also ask

Ques. I did not check the official notice regularly. How can I make sure I don’t miss PGDAV College CUET 2026 registration and counselling important dates?

Ans. Students should check the official website again and again for updates. Many time date is changed or extend so it is not good to depend on other people's information. Better to checkthe CUET site and DU CSAS portalon a weekly basis. Also, join a student group for updates. If the date is missed, then the admission chance can be lost, so care is very important.

Ques. I completed the CUET exam, but forgot to register on DU CSAS portal before the last date. Will PGDAV College consider my application later?

Ans. If the student does not fill out the DU CSAS form before the last date, then admission will not happen. Only giving the CUET exam is not enough for taking seat. CSAS registration isa compulsory step. Colleges do not accept separate forms after the deadline has passed. If the date is gone, then students have to wait next year for the admission process again.

Students also ask

Ques. I want to know if PGDAV College fees increase every year or remain the same during the whole course duration for UG and PG programs?

Ans. Fees mostly remain the same for full course time, but sometime small change can happen. Delhi University can increase some charges, like exam fees or other funds. It is not a very big increase normally, but a little change is possible. Students should check the official notice before taking admission because rules can change at any time without much notice.

Ques. I cannot afford full first-year fees at once. Does PGDAV College allow an instalment payment option for UG or PG courses?

Ans. Mostly college ask to pay full fees at one time when the seat is confirmed. The instalment option is not clearly mentioned in many cases. If students have a financial problem, then they can apply for a fee concession or a scholarship at DU. It is better to talk college office for clear information because rules can be different sometimes.

PGDAV College Admission Process 2026

  1. Appear for CUET UG / PG
Students have to appear in the CUET-UG or CUET-PG exam with the correct subject according to the course they choose. Without giving the CUET exam, admission is not possible.
  2. Register on DU CSAS Portal
After the CUET result declare, students need to register on the DU CSAS portal. They have to fill required details and pay the registration fees. If fees are not paid, the form will not be completed.
  3. Fill Course and College Preferences
Students need to select their course and choose PGDAV College in proper preference order. If the preference order is wrong, seat allotment can be affected.
  4. Seat Allotment
Seat allotment is done on the basis of CUET score and cutoff marks. Cutoff change in every counselling round.
  5. Upload Required Documents
After getting a seat, students have to upload all the required documents for verification. If any document is missing or not clear, it can be rejected.
  6. Pay Admission Fees
Once the document is verified, the student must pay admission fees to confirm a seat. If the fee is not paid on time, the Seat may be cancelled.
  7. Visit PGDAV College
At last, students have to visit PGDAV College for original document checking and then start attending classes regularly.

Students also ask

Ques. I selected the wrong course preference in the DU CSAS portal. Can I change it later, before the seat allotment process starts for PGDAV College admission?

Ans. Yes student can change their preference if the correction window is open. After the last date finishes, no changes is allow by DU. So it is very important to check properly before the final submission. Once a preference is locked, it cannot be changed again. If seat allotment already started, then mostly the editing option gets closed, and nothing can be done.

Ques. I uploaded unclear and blurred documents during CSAS registration. Will PGDAV College reject my admission or give me a chance to reupload again?

Ans. If the documents are not clear, then the verification team can raise a problem on the portal. The student will get little time to upload the correct document again. If the student does not upload within the given time, then admission can cancel automatic. So better to upload a clear scan copy and check everything before the final submission of the form.

M.Sc Mathematics 135 109

Students also ask

Ques. I scored slightly below the first round cutoff in B.Com Hons. Should I wait for later rounds or consider other courses in PGDAV College?

Ans. If the score is a little below the first cutoff student should not panic. Many time cutoff goes down in the next round because some students take other seats or drop admission. Better to keep a backup course also in the preference list. Commerce is very competitive. Waiting is okay, but a safe option is always a smart choice for a student's future.

Ques. I want to know if PG cutoff marks depend only on the entrance score or if category and seat availability also matter.

Ans. PG cutoff not only depends on the entrance score. Category reservation, number of applicant and total seats available also affect the cutoff. Sometimes the marks are small differences, but the seat finishes fast. Students should see the last year's trend and apply early in counselling. Without planning, chances become low and may loss seat.

Students also ask

Ques. I am an average student with basic skills. Can I still get placement from PGDAV College, or are only toppers selected by companies?

Ans. Placement is not only for toppers, but students must prepare properly. Companies check communication skills, basic subject knowledge and confidence level also. Many average students also get selected if they practice the interview and aptitude rounds seriously. Internship and skill courses help a lot. Without preparation, chances become low, so start early and improve your profile slowly.

Ques. I want to know if college provides placement training classes, or I need to prepare for aptitude and interviews by myself?

Ans. The college placement cell usually organise workshop, mock interview and resume building sessions for students. But students also need self-preparation because competition is high. Only depending on college training is not enough. Regular practice of aptitude, group discussion and technical questions is very important. Self-effort plus college support both together give better results.

PGDAV College Ranking

PGDAV College is ranked 56th in Commerce, 19th in Science, and 67th in Arts by Collegedunia, while it secured 97th position in the NIRF Overall category.

The following table displays the PGDAV College Ranking 2025

Ranked By Category Latest Rank
Collegedunia Science 19
Commerce 56
Arts 67
NIRF Overall 97

Students also ask

Ques. I am confused whether ranking should matter more than faculty and location when choosing PGDAV College for graduation in the commerce stream?

Ans. Ranking is important, but it is not the only factor students should consider. Faculty quality, infrastructure, peer group and internship exposure also matter a lot. Sometimes colleges with a lower rank give better personal guidance and environment. Students must compare all aspects carefully before taking admission decision because the ranking number alone does not show the full reality.

Ques. I want to know if the NIRF overall ranking affects my job opportunities after completing a degree from PGDAV College or not?

Ans. NIRF ranking give general idea about college performance, but companies do not select students only based on ranking. Skills, knowledge, internship and interview performance matter more. A good ranking can create a positive impression, but the final selection depends on the candidate's ability. So, focusing on skill development is more important than worrying too much about ranking position.

Students also ask

Ques. I am coming from outside Delhi. How can we manage accommodation and daily travel if PGDAV College does not provide hostel facilities?

Ans. Many students from outside Delhi manage by taking a PG or share flat near the college. Rent depends on the place and facility. Better to see the room before the final decision because the photo sometime different from the real. Travel by bus and metro is easy to use, so daily go college daily is not a problem if you plan properly.

Ques. I want to know if campus life at PGDAV College is active enough for personality development and participation in extracurricular activities.

Ans. Campus life is very active because many societies and clubs organise events all the time. Students get a chance to join cultural fest, debate, sport and seminar programs. Joining helps confidence grow, and communication skills improve. If a student only focuses on class and does not join activity then the college experience becomes boring and less useful for the future.

Ques. I want to know whether I can change my course after admission in PGDAV College if I realise I choose wrong course?

Ans. Once admission is done and a seat is confirmed, changing courses is mostly not possible. Only in rare case college allow, but mostly no chance. Students must think carefully before final submission because after the seat is allotted, option very limited. If you try without asking permission, the request can be rejected. Better plan properly before choose course.

Ques. I am confused about how many times I can takethe CUET exam if I fail the first time for PGDAV College admission?

Ans. CUET exam can be taken more time but each year one attempt counts for admission. If they fail, then students wait next year and register again. Some students take coaching and practice for more time to get better marks. The college accepts only the current year's score; old score not valid for admission.

Ans. Colleges have a placement cell who guide student little bit for internship but mostly students find their own. Sometimes they help resume or contact a company, but depend on availability. Many time student need personal effort to get a good internship. Apply early and on many platform increase the chance get internship.

Ques. I want to know how strict PGDAV College is about attendance. Can I miss class few days without a problem?

Ans. Attendance is very important in PGDAV College, mostly 75% minimum required. Missing class for many days without a reason can make the exam not be allowed. Sometimes medical or valid reason accept but mostly college strict. The student must plan to leave and tell the teacher; otherwise exam form will be rejected, or the marks will be reduced.

Ques. I'm not good at English. Can I study in PGDAV College without an English problem?

Ans. Yes student can study, but English is the main medium in class and exams. Need to improve slowly by reading, talking, practise. Many students struggle the first time, but with friends, a teacher and extra reading, they can manage. Not speaking perfect English is not a bar, but students need effort to understand the lecture and finish the assignment properly.

Students view on course curriculum

Course is ok ok bcom is overrated course but they only provide placement which is 3l to 4l which is very less in this tym and even they didn't give much priority to bcom prog as i feel that they give priority equal to ba pass .

What is the fees of the course per year and various scholarship option available in the college?

In first year i paid 14000 to 15000 In second year i paid 13500 Even my friend is also from obc category but they paid same so I don't think so there is any category differentiation. There is also lots of scholarship for categories and for those academic students who get highest marks in all sections.

Various fests and seminar available in the college

I was given this college on the basis of the score in the CUET Exam which i gave after my 12th. It was a tough exam i would say because compiting with 20 Lac plus students for just a seat in DU is not an easy task. While preparing the prefference sheet and combinations for the college in the admission process was a confusing task. So i select all the cobinations of courses and colleges which i was eligible and then i also select my course and college, but i never thought that i would get it, still though i was happy that i get to study in one of the DU college. I applied to a lot of DU colleges and there courses. I would say it was'nt an easy one, bt still get to study here is a great opportunity.

PGDAV College: 12 Answered Questions

Which option is better, Pursuing a BA programme (Eco +Maths) from PGDAV college or BA (Honours) Economics from Amity University

Tithi AggrawalLives in New Delhi

It’s better to choose the right program for you than choosing a better college. This is because if you choose something you are passionate about, even an average college will offer you enough opportunities to grow in that field.

I will suggest you go for Economic Honors in the BA program. This program is the right blend of Maths and Economics at the graduation level. Given below are a few scenarios in which choosing a BA program from PGDAV college over BA (H) Economics from Amity University will be beneficial

  1. You have no interest in pursuing higher studies in the field of Economics. You are just looking for a qualifying degree that will make you eligible for government exams or other courses.
  2. You get a better college for the BA program than Economic Honors. Although I will suggest that you give preference to courses over college.

Most people will suggest you go for Economics Honors but make sure you are choosing what you actually want.

Which one is a better college for taking admission in a B.Com, Ram Lal Anand or PGDAV College Delhi University?

Rishabh Jain,B.Tech (CS) Computer Science, University of Delhi (2017)

One of my friends studied at Delhi University. According to him, taking admission at PGDAV for B.Com will prove to be good for your career.

If both the colleges are compared, we will see that PGDAV is much ahead than Ram Lal Anand (RLA) in several factors:

  • The societies of PGDAV are considered the most popular in DU. These include -  Rudra, IRIS and Rapbeats.
  • In sports their cricket team is considered among the top teams.
  • PGDAV has one of the best canteens in DU .
  • Their infrastructure is one factor in which both the colleges come on the same rank. They are properly built and well maintained.
  • The student crowd in PGDAV is also known to be more competitive and enthusiastic than RLA.

Therefore after analyzing all the points, it is suggested that you take admission in PGDAV College, as it will give you a secure future.

HOW TO GET ADMISSION IN THIS COLLEGE
S
Sweta Kumari
Jun 24, 2025 17:51

PGDAV College admission to the available courses is offered based on scores in CUET UG and CUET PG exams. Interested candidates must register and appear for the accepted entrance examinations by the college. Candidates who qualify for the CUET examination must register for the Delhi University Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS) for both UG and PG courses and choose PGDAV College as their preference. When the merit list is released, candidates must log in to check their CSAS dashboard to see if any seat has been allocated. If the candidate has been allotted a seat at PGDAV College in any particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the seat before the last date specified by the university. Failing this, the seat allocated will be reported as vacant for the next round and the allocation can change accordingly. Once the provisionally allocated seat is accepted, the administration of PGDAV College will approve the seat allotment by verifying the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate. After the approval from the college, candidates must pay the PGDAV College admission fees for their chosen course to confirm their seats
