The diversity that we experience here, and connect with people with several backgrounds a d regions. Which makes us feel even more inclusive

Dislikes

They do not call popular alumnas for student meet or conferences.
They do not call known and demanding people in fests.
They do not provide fair chance to everyone to be in societies only trained or highly skilled are taken . Those who are eager yo learn are disqualified in selection rounds . Only very few reach the society.

Student view on course curriculum and syllabus

The course curriculum for history honours is quite comprehensive and full fledged. I feel that the depth knowledge of every topics and subtopics is what influenced me to choose this course. As the code of history does gives u the knowledge of past but it also gives u the perspective of present scholars as well.
History curriculum is designed in such a way that ut give clarity of various things. However there's always a scope of improvement and here I would suggest to extend the time period to cover the curriculum as its quite burdensome to complete the syllabus of 3 core papers along side 4 other papers in juts 4 months. The exams are held smeestwise. Once in 5 months. However students must be given at least 6 months to cover the curriculum.

Internship opportunity provided by the college

There are various internship opportunities given, intact we have a separate society for providing internship to interested students. Various know and big companies also provide internship in our college and selection process is free from unfairness and diplomacy. Every department has its own internship head for the smooth conduction of internship and placement processes.

Yearly fees structure of the college

The fee Is 18000 per year, but I get a freeship of 12000. So from 18000 that I pay as my tuition fee 12000 is returned. The freeship is based on merit as well as category and economic condition and need of the students. Apart from tuition fee, lots of other charges are applicable but it lines under personal expense of a student like accommodation and footings etc. The institution is not providing any of it right now.

Annual fest and various activity in the campus

The campus life at LSR is amazing. We have an annual 3 day fest Tarang every year , apart from it w have annual diwali mela during the time of arrival of diwali. We have Nexus and kala which are a Nss fest. Apart from that we have several other departmental fests happening throughout the year. We have veerangana as annual fest of NCC. We have DBR annual sports fest.
We have various engaging societies such as classical dance, music, choreography, enacts, English debating society, MUN, quiz society, western dance society, drama society. We have several NSS societies which ar social services ngos, etc.

Admission process and eligibility criteria

The admission process included giving CURT exam , and the eligibility for the same was 50% above marks scored in class 12th, with any considered institution. The application form is available on Internet any website. Application fee depend upon the category, and is approx 150-200 for general category . The last date for application is 26th March.
I belong from general category so I did not availed any reservation benefit, however there are respective reservation schemes applicable to the particular categories. This exam is conducted once in a year, however it is possible that it could be held twice in a year but there is no confirmation on the same. The difficulty level of exam at my time was moderate. I had economics, business studies, physical studies and English as my exam subjects . The area for improvement in admission process which I would suggest is the time taken from application form filling till college allotment is to much which should be reduced as it wastes lots of stud.

B.A. hons HISTORY in LSR

the college has multiple societies and clubs which covers multiplicity of things. there are teams within the departments which helps students
the college environment is very welcoming and provides you with great exposure both in the academics aswell as other co-curricular activities.

Dislikes

the management of within the departments could be better because it leads to issues at multiple times
i've heard from my peers that being in an all girls institute, sometimes make excluded from the whole university environment

Admission:

My 1st preference was HISTORY honours. In LSR and I was able to get into my desired course and college due to my good cuet marks, which were 788/800 inthe general category. i only applied to du and lsr was my 1st preference from the starting for a few reasons- I have always heard great reviews about the college form some school seniors and teachers aswell as online, and my father initially introduce my to lsr back in middle school and I personally liked its environment compared to other du colleges and it was a girls college which for me was more comfortable as I have been in a girls school all my school life. as I mentioned I applied only for DU especially lsr and I got admitted to it, making it my top choice and the reason why I have explained in detail above. I didn't apply to other colleges, therefore no rejections. so for admission in lsr one needs to give the CUET entrance exam after they clear their 12th exams. the current criteria for ba hons history in du is 3 papers one given in their boards + 1 language exam. after the exam one needs to fill in their preference list on the csas portal and rank all the courses they want to be eligible for from the courses which is provided to the student on there portal.then based on you marks you get allotted one of the preferences and you can challenge for updates in the further lists.

Likes

The vibe here is great. LSR students are genuinely warm, talented, and supportive. Fests like Tarang are a highlight
Complete engagement through peer learning and events

Admission:

I chose lsr because it's known for its strong philosophy department and has a really good academic and student culture. I had also applied to other du colleges like miranda house, hindu, and gargi. while some of them had good departments too, lsr stood out for its overall vibe, exposure, and the kind of opportunities available through societies and events.

LSR is an excellent college.

Likes

If one checks there's no better societies ever that one will find better than LSR.
Beautiful serene campus and surrounded by security personnel gives a different sense or security for outsiders like me.
The campus blocks are personally maintained by the management and therefore one will find cleanliness inside the campus always.

Dislikes

Well popularity game has ruined all the fun as the one who are more vocal takes away all the limelight.

This is a laughing stock question for anybody who is in LSR. SRCC was also an option and I was getting that too but my parents wanted me to study in a girls college. So SRCC was my choice anr LSR was my parents choice. Admissions for both is same that is one has to clear CUET with a minimum of 98 percentile.

Fun life of LSR

Likes

I love conference hall it has ac and many speakers are invited there.
I really love back gate infrastructure as it is way good for than front gate infrastructure
Library as it has many books older and new version both available I really like campus cleanliness as it's way much clean and you will feel rejuvenated

Dislikes

I didn't like canteen , they have very fewer options and are more expensive
I don't like classroom benches as they are always sounding when you sit
Also I don't like washrooms as they are always unhigined

Admission:

I chose Last Shree Ram college as it's nearby my home and it gets easy for me to commute also it's my first preference as it is very reputed college of DU which is affordable comparing to private colleges and the reputation of this college is good , being a girl , this is the college that gives you space to open up and to discover yourself fully , it gives you strength and voice to speak up and build confidence without any judgement

Sociology means rare and LSR means you are among rare students who get to study there. Hence when you yourself are rare and getting a rare college why would you even consider any other option. However, one should be aware that for general category a minimum percentile of 98 in CUET is mandatory as otherwise one will never get admission here.

For Psychology at DU, LSR is the best and with 98.2 percentile, I easily secured admissions at LSR. Earlier the cut-off was based on 12th results but now it's boil down to CUET score and without clearing that cut-off no one can get admission in LSR or any college of DU.

I applied for Central admissions and CUET which is the base of DU, I gave that entrance. I secured 99.2 percentile as one needs a minimum of 97 percentile to get admission here if they are from general category. So this is the reason I could get admissions here as i had the required percentile in CUET.

Something About LSR

Likes

I also like the various on going activities in college on each day.
I also like the campus vibe, having greenery and peaceful with three big lawns.

Dislikes

The college don't has the AC classroom, as it becomes tremendous hot during summer.

Admission:

Students have to be a part of cuet exam to get admission in Delhi University as well as Lady Shri Ram College For Women, which is held every every year in May- June. After exam, you have to participate in councelling also.

The campus is really beautiful and the lawns are very peaceful.

Dislikes

The classrooms are not spacious and there are no adequate fans.

Admission:

LSR was my dream college. I had a desire to get into LSR and I worked really hard for preparation for CUET. The cutoff for my score was 788/800. LSR has its own brand value and it is a highly prestigious college. The skills I would gain here by the time I would pass out from here would be invaluable. It is the aura, the prestige, the legacy, the alumni and the scope that made me get into this college, and I would never regret this decision.

Lady Shri Ram College is a public institute established in 1956 and is affiliated with Delhi University. DU UG Admission Registration 2025 has begun on June 17, 2025. Candidates who have appeared for CUET UG can apply online through the DU CSAS portal @ugadmission.uod.ac.in. DU Admission Dates 2025 will be released after the declaration of the CUET result.

The admission process is carried out for all UG and PG courses through the centralized Delhi University Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS). The college accepts CUET scores as the basis of admission to both the UG and PG levels. The entrance exams are administered by NTA. CUET UG is conducted in March, and CUET PG is conducted in the month of May/June by NTA every year.

The cutoff will be released after the entrance exam will be held for this academic session. The LSR admission cutoff in 2025 is expected to range between 705 and 770 marks for all the UG courses.

The hostel fee ranges between INR 60k to 65k. There are approximately 300 seats available in hostel accommodation. There are different fees for single occupancy or double occupancy rooms. Fees are subject to an annual increase under UGC guidelines. Single occupancy rooms are allotted only to some final year students, on the basis of merit.

LSR New Delhi does not accept direct admissions to BA Political Science Honors. The admission to the course is compulsorily given on the basis of CUET UG scores achieved by the candidates.

Being affiliated to and operates under Delhi University, Lady Shri Ram College does not offer admission to any UG course without appearing in CUET Examination. It also accepts DUET Examination for admission to PG courses.

LSR does not offer B.Ed. course to the students. There is only one course offered in the field of Education which is B.El.Ed. (Bachelor of Elementary Education). The eligiblity of this course is to complete 10+2 with at least 50% marks. The first year fee of the course is INR 21,520.
