Course Curriculum Overview

4

My interest in computers and technology made me choose this course and the increasing trends also made choose this course. curriculum was i would say is progressing some subjects seem irrevelent in 1st year but after that you will like it and enjoy also , in short inetresting subject in 2nd year and 3rd year also. Area of improvement will be , ability to choose optional subject of thier own choice , not dependent on the number of seats or who came first method. the frequency of exams is 6 months but you will get knwo that it will take only 3 to 4 months to complete syllabus and other days include holidays and all. exams are easy if you study in advance and be disciplined throught the semester.

Internships Opportunities

3

intership opportunities are less , am in sem 3 so dont know more about internships , but done one intership as a college work of website managment and design of posters for college website, although we do it for free but got unlimited food from canteen of our own choice which good for us. the project is to design the poster and logo for for societies and campus to be placed on the website.

Placement Experience

3

i don't know much about placements because i am in 2nd year , but from the environment and senior talks , placements for tech related job, means for bsc students are less compared to arts and commerce students. and average package is around 4 lakhs per annum and highest would me 12 lakh somthing as mentioned in the placement cell website of pgdav college you can check it .

Fees and Financial Aid

fees for 1 year is 41000 rupees approx , if you study for 3 year it will be 120000 or for 4 years it will be 160000 rupees. exams held evry 6 month you have to pay examination fee aproox 1500 to 2500 depending on course and subjects. there is no category wise fees , same fees for all the participants, but you can acail scholarship for some fees reduction, this scholarship come every year , based on you family income or other criteria for other scholarships like merit based and extra curricular activity based and so on.

Campus Life

3

our fest happens in jan to february months evry year, in 2024 arohana happend which was good and fun. In our library almost evry books is available in our library that students need, but only issued to who came first. computer labs are good they have recently renovated, although laptops there are old and a bit slow. for cricket lovers the whole ground is specified for cricket only , but we can also play football there, and different sports are also available like volleyball, basketball, table tennis, chess, carrom, and many more. yes there are sonmany societies and clubs there for different purposes like, writing , drama, acting, technology, design, gaming etc etc.

Admission

i applied to mainly DU best collegs as uper preferences but due to low marks i got this college which is my 5th preference in the list , i aplied to other colleges near my house like jamia hamdard but i got in DU so i canclled there. Jamia hamdard is private where as DU is central government based so there is no comparison whome to choose. admission is through cuet ug exam and marks obtained in it , and later csas portal aplication will decide your colege on the basis of preference given by you. cutoff for this course in du is quiet low compared to other commerce and arts based courses, i got admission in 450/800 marks for obc category.

Faculty

4

1 teacher teaches almost 50 to 60 students, but in class present students always is around 30 to 40 but for some specific courses or paper there can be 100 + students and 1 teacher teaching him but in specific subject of VAC or SEC. All Facalty is good and cooperative , teacher are supportive if you follow them and goog with them. I never saw bad faculty in my view everyone behaved well to me, exams held evry 6 months and we all have 7 subject in 1st and 2nd year , exams are easy if you are disciplined otherwise it will be tough enough to pass and pyqs is must to get good marks .

Interview Experience

4

there is no GD round or interview for admission , there is just computer based or written test called cuet ug based on marks obtained in it you will get selected in the collage. i prepred by just studyng my old 12th books only and some youtube videos i will recommend two thing for prepapration 1. adda247 youtbe channel 2. testbook subscription

Night Life

3

gym is available in our college , but i don't know the timings exacty may be it is opend morning 9 to 4 evening. cafeteria is openend until last batch of classes maybe around 7 or 6 pm. library also openend until last batch of classes. famous hangout place you can visit is cannought place, india gate, karol bagh they are little bit long way from college, but some temples are near like kalkji mandir, iskcon temple, and most famous lotus temple is nearby.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements around 5th to 6th semester. Highest package of 2024 was 25LPA. Usually 8CGPA is considered a sweet spot for campus placements plus it gets them easier to get into world class universities for post graduation.

Reviewed on Mar 3, 2026(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course Biomedical Sciences is very interesting as well as challenging, it covers various fields of sciences and has great scope in terms of research. The course connects theory with real world applications in hospitals and research laboratories. A few examples would include, antibacterial testing, PFT, EMG, blood tests, which are commonly performed in hospitals. The course also helps us to pursue our hands in research further by providing us with hands on training for skills such as biostatistics, writing scientific literature, lab skills, etc. A few improvements that I would suggest is the removal of outdated testing methods and practicals from the curriculum that are not essential for the real world currently. The teaching methods are quite good and interesting. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester and are relevant to the curriculum. The practical exams test your knowledge of hands on experience that you've gained while doing lab work. Theory exams are of 3 hours as per usual and test your theoretical knowledge from books and classes mainly.
