- Support service is something that not many colleges offers but our college offers both in terms of academic guidance and life lessons as well.
- Sports facilities at our campus which is small but still have enough for us to play various sports.
- Labs and library rooms are amazing as post classes, i find my solace there.
Dislikes
- Some parts of infrastructure needs restoration as they are honestly outdated now.
Course Curriculum Overview
Statistics is indeed quite complex and until there comes a point where one has to move beyond basics is where our course begins. So, it has everything and provably everything that one can imagine about stats. Hence, our course makes us competent enough that in the world where we have so many data scientists, statisticians too play their part right.
Internships Opportunities
New Age companies that businesses rely on data are the ones that offers us internships. Lenskart, Liscious, Zupay, Paytm are among some groups that internship opportunities are provided. Stipend ain't much as we arent any engineers and for us its the learning that we could get from internships.
Placement Experience
For statistics IT companies like Dell, Wirpo and others have job offers and roles. 4-5 lakhs is what we were offered and get easily too. For a student getting graduated in just 60k, getting 10x of it as initial placement, nothing more can be asked for.
Fees and Financial Aid
PGDAV Morning College of DU is among one of the best colleges. For my course which is BSC Statistics (Hons), just 16 college's of DU has this course. Fees for each of them is more or less the same. Yes, its around 15000 a year and total cost of education would be around 60000. Inspire and Lowkey are among two of the scholarships that are provided to students of our college.
Campus Life
February was the month when our annual fest Aarohana happened. A 7 acre campus with two blocks and a great library and a seminar hall is all that we had. Sad that we couldnt aplly more into sports as we dont have a basketball court. Besides that though there isnt much we csn complain about. So, i would complimet our small little campus as we are small world but well equipped.
Admission
St Stephens obviously as for Science, its one of the best DU college. The cut-offs on which the admission matters had a massive difference in the kind of marks i had vs the actual cut-off of St Stephens. PGDAV and a few other colleges is where i was getting admissions and once i locked PGDAV it was all sorted at once.
Faculty
Our faculties in recent times have changed and i feel it was required. Yes, experience matters but with so many upgradations, it is inevitable to introduce sone fresh legs too. So ever since the new faculties have taken over, i will be honest but my life has been sorted. So, Gaurangi madam is my favourite by a margin.
Night Life
Lajpat Nagar Market is the one which is mainstays from our campus. Vinobhapuri metrostation is nearby and a shuttle auto from there is what it takes to get through the college. Vinobhapuri refections cafe, Boombox Cafe & Restro, and Cafe Diaries are some of those chilled out zones where we are mostly seen after college hours.
