Faculty to student ratio is decent and faculty is actually really open to feedbacks and are very easily connectable in my course majority of teachers are kind and passionate about teaching and take their time to explain topic and students doubt assginment and tests are quiet regular and majority of your marks are on that and its not very difficult as its given on smaller topic which prepare us for exams

Campus Life

multiple fests take place throughout whole of year be it kavi samllan music and dance events books and journals are easily available by library in computer lab there are laptops and desktop computer for techincal work multiple sports like basketball football cricket etc are offered by campus clubs and societies are active and great in ramjas and have a dedicated selection process of their own

campus life is fun. you join societies, do the annual events of societies which is really fun. also the main fest of the college that is Crossroads is really fun. many great artists come each day, it being a 3 day event. overall it is very fun if you are into studies too much then you are provided with ample range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library The facilities are good in the campus, ac in every class, wifi provided, affordable canteen etc etc you can also play different sports and also join the team for the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

this course was related to my subjects in school which is the main reason that i chose this course. but only studying doesn't give you hands on experience you have to do internships and all to understand the concept. the thing i dont like the most are sec vac and aec which are the additional subjects we have to study about. test are taken weekly and monthly basis

The Annual fest is called Cross Roads. Its uaually in the winter month. Apart from that we also have Business Conclave too. The range and accessibility of books is absolutely crazy and wide. you can find any book under the sun. Not a fan of the infrastructure at all. The roofs randomly fall. Sports is great, amazing grounds. Yes, a lot of societies. They are both an evil and necessity in college. If not taken the right way, they can impact ur mental health negitively.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio isnt that great to be honest. Its around 60 students to 1 teacher. In such a situation the personal attention isnt possible. Best faculties would include Smita Ma'am, Anuj Sir, Manpreet Maam, Malika maam etc. Cant name the faculties i didnt like cause dont want to disrespect them, however some faculties are very problematic. Exams are of Avg level. Can do if studied.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very low, i am not sure about the number, but yes our core subjects faculty member are approachable, but extra classes like SEC, VAC, GE and AEC (EVS) i feel like they are waste of time, even teacher don't brother they only give assignment's to complete and this classes are not so productive. The names of the faculty i like are Shallu ma'am, Sneha Ma'am and Sonal Ma'am they are the teacher's to our core subject of BCOM hons for Section B, Semester1, they teach really well and are approachable at any time in college hours. The exam part i won't be able state it for now as i haven't given any exams yet as it is my begining in this new journey but as per i know from my seniors each and every student clears college exam. The course cirriculum is designed in such a way it can be hectic sometimes because of the internal assement as major chuck of marks is in teacher's hand and the attandence issue i feel is moderately is there which surpasses student's dream for opting ca and other similar courses. But some student still manages with the classes their professional courses.

Course Curriculum Overview

As i am from a business and commerce background this course automatically attracts me, but these course does includes a deep knownledge on Accounts, Law and management which helps an individual to exel in business or some other fields in life. the curiculum surely prepare as it is a practical course full of real life knowledge which we study in law and management. and the course also have a broader future academic pursuits. The course curriculum and teaching methods is great only in MPA ma'am some times try to be practical and ask question but no one is prepared excpet some few kids some it gets difficult, like explanation part get's messed up i guess due to different perspective. The improvement should be with college timing the college must follow timings like Shaheed Bhagat singh college morning and evening classes which makes the college less crowded and efficient as per student needs. The frequency and timings of exam are ok.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the B.Com (Hons.) curriculum at SRCC as very good, both in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its strong focus on accounting, finance, and business concepts, which are essential for careers in commerce, finance, and management. The curriculum also offers some flexibility through electives, which allows students to explore areas like taxation, auditing, economics, and analytics.

Faculty

Honestly, the faculty at SRCC is really strong. The student-to-faculty ratio is around 20–25 students per professor, which is pretty good for a college of this size. Most teachers are very approachable if you have doubts, they’ll take the time to explain, give extra guidance, or even help with career advice. A lot of them also bring real-world examples into class, which makes understanding concepts much easier.

The curriculum of the core subjects is great as it is very relevant but the introduction of new subjects under NEP which is SEC VAC AEC etc is useless they waste our time and energy and dont provide any value. exams are easy

The college has its own 2 annual fests business conclave and crossroads organised by students union. apart from this the societies have their own fests throughout the year it is very fun but getting into societies is hard

Fees and Financial Aid

30,355 Rs. per year is the fees which equals about 90k for the whole course for general category students. For pwd it is 75rs and for sc st 30170 and for obc ews it is 30175. No extra compulsory charges apart from this

Course Curriculum Overview

The core subjects are very relevant and are helpful. Courses like VAC and AEC however are very useless and time consuming. Students can spend that extra time in those classes on their core subjects to study properly.

Faculty

Mostly, all the faculties at SRCC are very good. They're well qualified, and it is quite evident from the methods they use to reach us, that they're not just trying to make us bookworms, but rather imparting a certain degree of pratical knowledge. I have had very genuine conversations and advices from our faculty. There are a few exceptions, offcourse. Some of the great faculty in our college include Kinner Jain Ma'am, Renu Agrawal Ma'am, Anuj Bhatia Sir, Saurabh Gupta Sir, Mohammad Hassan Sir. There are a few faculty teachers, that I do not particularly admire, Alok Sir and RK Shah Sir. It is mostly due to the fact that their behaviour towards the students turn hostile, hasn't happened to me personally, but it is a shared experience amongst our batchmates. The End Semester Examinations are the ones, which carry maximum weightage in our CGPA, and they're fairly straight to the point. However, the Internal Assessments, like Tests, Presentations and Activities, keep spanning throughout the semester, and they carry a very major weightage. Hence, it becomes significant to be vigilant throughout the semester. Except for a few papers like SEC, VAC and AEC, the other papers, do seem to add genuine value and feel relevant.

Course Curriculum Overview

In totality, B. Com (Hons) provides a great deal of understanding of accounts, finance, marketing, branding etc. Thus, for someone trying to decide between various Commerce Courses, B. Com (Hons), stands out. Even today, when alot of people question the course's credibility and relevance, I feel, it adds plenty of value to an individual. Practicality, sometimes, does seem to be an issue, however, the faculty does add value to making it lively through case solving, real world examples, site visits, interactive seminars with esteemed guests and much more. If I were to suggest areas for improvement in the curriculum, which does sometimes, seem to be outdated, I would totally suggest the integration of AI into our courses, instead of writing long assignments with 0 learning value, we can try to focus on pr Live Projects or experiences which tend to add value to us. I'm pretty much satisfied with the teaching methods. If the frequency of tests can be checked upon, it would be less of a burden. Because, at present, every alternate day, there's a test, and sometimes it becomes a wee bit difficult to keep a count of the n number of things you're doing at once.

The faculty is nice and supportive in all aspects. They support the students and are understanding, ofc exceptions are always there but most of them are approachable in terms of guidance for career. The exams are not that difficult considering you've prepared enough, the faculty to student ratio is 1:60 which i think can be improved.

Fees and Financial Aid

SRCC the best commerce college in India is best because it has everything and our of those one thing which stands out is indeed the fees. 33250 is fees for B.Com Hons and that is what I had to pay as I am from general category. Otherwise SC/ST students get 15% scholarship and that's 3-4k less than the actual fees is what they have to pay.

Campus Life

The Graffitis on the wall and especially the red one is my favourite. 1st floor library has Narendra Modi's message carved which he gave to the students when he came to our college as a chief guest. So, our campus has produced legends and it is a legendary campus and also has a legendary fest in Crossroads.

Fees and Financial Aid

For B.Com (Hons) the fees is set at 33250 a year. Luckily it's paid in parts and our college supports students with avrious scholarships programs too. Caste based scholarships are set by the university and even government but apart from that many private scholarships are also available at our university.

Internships Opportunities

Again it's financial companies as those involved in managing portfolios like Bain Capital, Nomura and others are the companies where we get placed as intenrs through college. Proper rounds are held before getting selected and stipend offered is as good as otherwise colleges placements.

What a beautiful campus that we have right at the nose of Vishwavidyalaya area in Delhi. Surrounded by colleges and students all around. One can play sports as we get enough times during the day and facilities are also good. Business conclave and all also happens at our college. Annual fest Crossroads is also superb.

Faculty

Exams are difficult as DU passing percentage isn't high for B.Com (Hons). However at our college it is 90% or so because we have students who are hard working and then faculties teaching is so entertaining that we also study hard. Miss Bhoomi Kapoor is my favourite faculty though all are good and kind.

There are over a 100 societies and our college has three canteens and all of them have dustbins around as no littering is entertained in the campus. Our sports complex is quite good and also our library and reading area too. So sports wise we are well equipped and are doing well at the university level. Our annual event crossroads is also one of the largest event of DU as over 170 colleges participated in it last year.

SRCC faculties are someone who doesn't believe in flop show. So, I am lucky to be under them as I am getting a learning of next level. The overall campus life experience is something i am beyond grateful for. The vibrant people, good faculty and the vintage buildings just add to the glory of the esteemed institution. The library and its reading room is one of my favourites, that is where i have gotten all my academic work done. The college societies are really active and one's involvement in the same helps one learn a lot of new hard and soft skills that is necessary for overall development.

Faculty

Every class has an average strength of 70-80 students with 3-4 professors assigned the same subject and this makes the whole process of learning really smooth, convenient and not mundane at all. There is one CIA (continuous internal assessment) per semester and there are 2 semester per year. The CIA and semester papers follow a standard pattern but if one pays attention in classes and does the classwork and PPT then its reallt easy to score well.

Course Curriculum Overview

I didn't know much about my course when i took admission because all knowledge i had was from different websites and youtube channels , when i had my hand on first hand knowledge i realised that the course itself doesn't provide you practical knowledge which would help you in real world because its just a degree, for real world you need to have some skills so i joined societies and hoping to develop some side skills like public speaking, communication skills, consultation skills and some technical skills like video editing, photoshop etc Also our professor suggested us to do courses side by side so I'm thinkin of pursuing CA But bcom hons as a degree is good because it provides you knowledge of commerce and accounting whatever you'd expect from a degree from DU

Faculty

Kamlesh sir teaches us Financial accounting he's good , Prashant sir teaches us vac gandhi and education he seems like a guy who knows almost everything about history, always a delight to listen to him , economics ge mam is also chill , faculty to student ratio is like 1-60 for core, ge , 1-100 for aec sac vac (which will reduce after sections are made) Fortunately i haven't pissed off any teacher yet so i find every faculty member good There are certain test which are part of internal continuous assessment of 15-20 marks , they are quite easy so no need to worry

Ques. Which course is better: B. Commerce Hons or BA Economics Hons from DU?

● Top Answer By Divjot Bagga on 06 Oct 22

Ans. The answer to this question will rely on your future goals, what you compassionately dream of doing, and what you believe you will truly like. However, Economics Honors from DU is one of the best courses with exceptional scope and value in the corporate world. Everyone is aware that the University of Delhi's most prestigious course is Economics Hons. Rapidly rising cutoffs provide proof of this.  Additionally, compared to other courses, it offers higher placement prospects. Nevertheless, immense power entails great responsibility. It's not the kind of subject you can get by with just one night of studying. It necessitates commitment and diligence. Additionally, it is the most challenging course the university offers. So, BA Economics is the best option for anyone who is keenly interested in the subject.  BA Economics(Hons) is DU's most difficult yet prestigious course. As a result, if you are in the unreserved category, you will need a higher percentage. Try to get a score of 90% or higher to get into DU, and 95% or higher to get into DU's good colleges. In the end, it all comes down to your score.Read more

Ques. What is the passing criteria for B.Com (H) year 1 SOl DU?

● Top Answer By Sanjana Kapoor on 06 Oct 23

Ans. SOl DU’s first year exam of B.com isn't as tough as you might think. A few criteria for passing the first-semester exam are as follows:  To clear your first year, you need to score at least 33% in every subject, out of a total of 75 marks. Sounds doable, As long as you hit that 33% mark in each subject, you're on track to successfully move forward in your academic journey. Now, let's talk about the "what if." If, unfortunately, you score below 33% in any one subject, don't worry too much. You won't have to repeat the entire year. Instead, you'll need to give an ER (Essential Repeat) the following year, which is your second year. Here's the trick - try to aim for an ER in as few subjects as possible. If you have to give an ER for more than four subjects, then, yes, you'll have to repeat the entire year. So, as you dive into your first year, remember that success is within your reach. Stay focused, study hard, and aim for those 33% scores. Read more

Ques. Which DU college is better, Ramjas or Sri Venkateswara for B.Com?

● Top Answer By Samiksha Madan on 21 Jan 22

Ans. Both Ramjas and Sri Venkateswara are reputed colleges under Delhi University. According to the reviews online Sri Venkateswara (SVC) is better when it comes to commerce than Ramjas. SVC has better placements, faculty and overall exposure. Both colleges are very much involved in cultural activities and extracurriculars. If you are willing to opt for a science course then go for Ramjas, Commerce is better in SVC. They both have no strict rules to maintain a 75% attendance, you should just have enough to sit for the internals. Students who are unable to sit in the internals due to their involvement in clubs and societies have to submit an ECA to their teacher. This is possible in both the colleges. Ramjas has a better infrastructure than SVC. But all these do not matter much, if you are dedicated to your studies, you can succeed in any college. Ques. Should I go for B.Com (P) from Motilal Nehru College or Shaheed Bhagat Singh (E) College?

● Top Answer By Ria Arora on 13 Jan 22

Ans. Motilal Nehru is a morning college whereas Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC) has both morning and evening colleges. At first, you will have to decide your preference for the timings. One of my friends graduated from Motilal Nehru College (Day) and has had flatmates studying in evening colleges. According to him their routines were completely different. So, the choice completely depends on you and which time of the day you are comfortable with. Motilal Nehru has a competent faculty, with spacious new buildings, library and good placements. They also have active societies such as Enactus, DebSoc, Archon Leadership Cell and others. Another benefit of being in Motilal is that it is located in the South Campus and is always crowded. This crowd attracts the building of proper hangout places. Its Satya Niketan market offers good places to eat and good coaching centers. On the other hand SBSC (E) would only give you the benefit because of its past reputation, good sports infrastructure and its proximity to Select City Walk. Therefore make an informed decision as this will be motivated towards the shaping of your career.Read more
