Course Curriculum Overview

Subjects like Law, Management, HRM and Economics really influence my choice for this course. The law and economics part was really something that garb my attention as well as excite me the most. It really helped in understanding HR policies in depth which helped me really world a lot. The curriculum should include more practical and technical subjects which will help in the corporate world too. The exam timings were usually 2 to 3 hours max. And the exam also doesn't come too hard to pass.

Faculty

The faculty-to-student ratio is roughly around 30:1 and the faculties very really understanding and approachable. The management faculty really the best faculty because if their style of teachings and nature. There were in total 2 semesters each year mostly in the Dec-Jan month and then around the May-June. The curriculum was really helpful and knowlegable for the degree.

We have almost 60+ societies in our college amd they are very beneficial like really they give you different kind of exposure a d some great people with lots of memories.

Course Curriculum Overview

So I am pursuing Bcom honours as i am doing CA also along with it that is why I chose this course because it aligns well with my CA syllybus. See academics is very important but it is not the only thing which will help you build your career, along with it you should also try to gain real world exposure by participating in Case comps, debates, or being active in society, etc

Campus Life

My overall experience with campus life at Janki Devi Memorial College has been good. The environment of the colleges friendly and safe and students get opportunities to take part in different societies and activities. The annual fest is usually held in the early months of the year and it includes cultural performances competitions and different events where students can participate and interact with the others. The college library is well maintained and has a good range of books related to different subjects along with reference materials and journals. It easily accessible for student and provide a quite space for studying and completing assignments. Classrooms are decent and have basic facilities like projectors in some rooms which helps during presentations and lectures. Campus also provide facilities like extra curricular activities and student can try in different clubs and Society is according to their interests balance students can focus on Academics while also taking part in extra curricular activities and enjoyable and productive.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum of Janki Devi Memorial College is quiet relevant and covers the important areas of the subject in a structured way one of the reasons I preferred this course was it is designed according to Delhi University standards and the syllabus is recognise and useful for higher studies the combination of theory papers skill enhancement courses and internal assessment help in building clear understanding of the subject. The curriculum helps in writing resources and critical thinking skills which are useful not only in exams but also for future academic and professional work at the same time, I feel that adding move practical sessions, workshop, or more project based learning with me the course more engaging and closed to Real world applications. Exams are held in the form of internal assessment during semester and final University exam at the end.Exams schedule is manageable and the difficult level is moderate.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course ciriculum for bcom is good and covers major aspects like accounts, business law, management, ethics. It help understand the basic concepts and useful for future studies Ciriculum is relevant but somtimes it feel more theory based rather than a practical aprroach. More practical exposure and skill based subjects can be added There might be some needed improvement in teaching as we learn account's and management it feels boring teacher can make it interesting if theu improve their methods Exam happens every 4 month after the end semester the timing of exam is good my 1st sem happened at the December whole month the difficult was not much high my account paper was difficult as it was more tricky but the difficult was managable

Campus Life

Fees and Financial Aid

Barasat college is a goverment institution, making it a very affordable option for higher education. The total course fee is approx 25000 rupee. in adddition to the tutiuon, we are required to pay the registration fee of around 1600 rupee per year. This fee structure is quite consistent and does not see too much sudden hikes which is a great advantage for students. the college supports students in accessing various financial aids. I personally received a scholarship from the west bengal bengal goverment amouting to rupess 12000 per year . This scholarship was extremly helpful for me to cover education expenses . Their are also merit cum sholerships avilable for eligeble students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder studies. The college culture is very good and all the teachers and staff are also very helpful to the students ,

Faculty

There are more than 20 faculty members in our department maintaining a good student teacher ratio. The teachers are very frinedly .My favorite faculty member is Biplab Biswas Sir , who teaches accounts. The reason is i liked him the most he help us in every situation and even in another subject

Typically, 1-2 events are held every month, and various books are accessibles in the library and can be accessed by anyone with their icard. The classroom consists of a projector and 4 air conditioner with 6 fans and a white board and a black board. The college sport is very competitive, recently I have won a silver medal in sports but with very high and comprehensive training.

Faculty

1:1 ratio. The faculty v students ratio is very good and the facilities are mainly made for the students only. Every faculty is good, there can't be a single faculty which is less bad or more good, everyone is equal and best. For 1st Sem, we need to give 2 exams with assignments like, CIA seminars and assignment and one mid semester examination.

Also we have a drama society. - we have few of the society our is called 180DC and roadract which are managed and run by student groups. Also we have women development cell working for the upliftment of the girl child.

Faculty

On an average of 60 students there is one teacher.. even though the number of students under one teacher is very large but if you want to impress with the teacher the teachers are approachable. The faculty which I like the most is Mohan sir he is an extremely wonderful teacher. Is approach of teaching and out of the box thinking is really amazing. Each year we have two semester exam and exams is not very much tough but for some honour courses the syllabus is a bit Wide and a bit lengthy. Course curriculum experiment

Course Curriculum Overview

One of the expect which influence me to choose my course which is BCom honours is because there is a heavy accounting and finance included in it and how the corporate world works in real life the curriculum prepare students for real world exposure by providing them knowledge of tools like Excel basics of python etc the improvement is removing some subjects like check or back and including more practical tools and real world application project so it improve the course curriculum and advance the knowledge of a students that frequency and timing of the exam is after 3 to 4 months of starting of semester and the these example not so much difficult

Faculty

There is a good faculty to student ratio is up to one teacher on 60 students and the approach to each the approach to each student for feedback difficulty which I like the most is faculty of commerce and I like it because it they are very supportive even outside the academics and I don't like difficulty members of commerce department because some teachers are very restricted I'm not so open with students there are two exams in one year divided into two semester and the samswar not very complicated or difficult students can pass them even after studying 2 to 3 months.

The name of the faculty whom I like much is the faculty of corporate accounting because of his teaching style and making the complex thing into the simplar once and the best faculty is be faculty of corporate accounting, financial management, business maths, etc. faculties whom I personally do not like this faculty of marketing because of her teaching style make and as a it is a theoretical subject which is quite boring and teaching style is traditional and there are two examinations in a year and it's some moderate level examination at honours level anyone can pass the exam with moderate effort many student can pass the examination easily with a moderate effort and it is relevant to our course curriculum and future pursuits ime MBA,etc.

Campus Life

There are countless clubs and committees or societies, as we call, functioning in the college, making it the best college for extra curricular activities or learning beyond books environment. There are good societies, naming, Enactus, Placement Cell, 180 Degrees Consulting, Department Societies and Cultural Societies fining students with necessary practical skills for a good career ahead and giving them the right exposure, needed at college level. The societies also have a very good Alumini base, making it very attractive for students to join.

Faculty

As mentioned before, the college has an extremely talented faculty who are well qualified and experts in their domain. The faculty is genuinely helpful and the best out there. They help the students in every way possible. I remember, asking doubts during my exam seasons and my professors were all time online solving all the doubts we had, far even what school teachers did. They have a very strong grasp of their subjects and they are always taking initiatives to make the academic standards of college reach great heights.

We have one teacher or faculty on 70 students and faculty student relationship is exceptional wear faculties are always ready to help and guide the student and professional and personal life. Facilities are easily approachable their always ready to help the student in the capacity the student wants. The best faculty which I like difficulty of international business because she makes the complex theoretical concepts into a simple once and deal the things as but the level of a students understanding. The best faculties are the faculty of business mathematics, financial management, international business, etc. The faculty whom I didn't like in the faculties of marketing and management because of their teaching style and theoretical aspects. There are two examination in a year and it is moderate level examination at honours level and almost every student can pass the exam and course curriculum prepares for the future degrees.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are certain areas which influenced my decision to choose the course as this is based on practical aspects of finance, accounting, etc. The course helps to tackle the real world application in the form of case study and also helps to the future academic password if someone wants to pursue MBA in the future you can prefer this course in under graduation. There are certain areas which need improvement and my course curriculum as there are certain subjects like marketing and management which is based on more theoretical aspect just need little bit of practical learning and teaching method will change accordingly as the course curriculum change. There are 2 examinations in a year and timing of examination is 6 months and it is a moderate level examination at honours level.

Faculties are not at all approachable they just teach and rush through the syllabus. Many faculties are from south and don't speak English which is understandable and it is very difficulty to comprehend what they teach . Some are nice though and actually teach rather than rushing . There is 1 to 2 internal exams in the semester and they are moderate . The course curriculum isn't relevant
