VBSPU has announced PG Fee Structure 2025-2026. The total academic fee is ₹ 28,900 -₹ 1.2 Lakhs.

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University (VBSPU) formerly known as Purvanchal University is located in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. Founded on October 2, 1987, the university is UGC approved and is accredited 'A+' grade by NAAC. It has 219 affiliated colleges in Jaunpur and 354 in Ghazipur. Some of these colleges are government and aided, while the others are SFCs. VBSPU also has plans to start courses in Medical Sciences, Library & Information Sciences, and B.Tech [Biotech] in the near future.

The university offers UG and PG courses in streams like Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Management Studies, Science, and Applied Social Sciences. Admission to most of its UG and PG programs is done through the PUCAT, while BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores, followed by counseling., the MBA and MCA programs are based on CUET PG, and BPharm is based on CUET UG.

VBSPU Admission

VBPSU takes admission through the Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) for UG, PG, and Diploma courses. Priority for admission to BTech, B.Pharm, MBA, MCA, and M.Tech programs shall be given to national-level test scores such as JEE Main, CUET UG, CUET PG, and GATE. The final selection for all courses is done through a counselling process conducted by the university based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. Preferences for VBPSU admissions are as follows:

70% of seats in all courses of BTech are filled through UPTAC counselling based on JEE Main scores and the remaining 30% of seats are filled through PUCAT
In case of vacant seats in BTech after UPTAC counselling, VBPSU offers direct admission based on merit in the JEE Main examination.
50% of seats in all courses of MBA are filled through CUET-(PG)-2024) and the remaining 50% seats are through PUCAT.
For MCA vacant seats after CUET PG counselling by UPTAC, admissions are offered based on the merit of PUCAT.
For MTech admissions at VBSPU, preference is given to GATE scores.

PUCAT

Purvanchal University Combined Admission Test (PUCAT) is a state-level offline test conducted by the Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University for admission to various courses. The entrance examination fee for the test is INR 500 for general category candidates and INR 250 for reserved category students. The application fee payment is to be done in the offline mode only. Once the students have appeared for the exam and cleared the cut-off, they are shortlisted for admission through PUCAT counseling.

VBSPU Placements

VBSPU has a Training & Placement Cell that conducts job fairs and placement training activities for its students. To avail of the opportunities of the placement cell, candidates must first register themselves by filling-up the database card, pasting their photograph, and submitting it to the placement department authorities. Thereby, registered students will be called for participating in the job fairs. The official placement data is not yet released by the university. However, according to the NIRF 2024 report, the median package stood at INR 3.3 LPA for BTech, INR 7 LPA for MBA, and INR 2.8 LPA for B.Pharm.

Apart from the scholarships mentioned in the above table, the university also offers a fee waiver scheme for eligible students from low socioeconomic households. It also offers financial help to meritorious students with financially weak backgrounds. The tuition costs are reduced for all merit place winners in the university examinations and competitive examinations. Additionally, financial assistance is provided to students belonging to families of the Kargil Martyrs and those affected by natural catastrophes like Tsunami etc.

VBSPU Facilities

Computer Centre: The University provides a well-furnished air-conditioned computer lab that provides quality service to the university community in computing facilities, E-mail, etc. The lab equips with the following software and hardware like windows operating system, SPSS, Ms-office, etc.
Hostel: The university campus offers residential facilities for the students admitted to the University. There is a separate boys and girls hostel with a fixed capacity to accommodate the students. Each room has two beds, a cupboard, a study table, and a chair for each student.
Library: The Library premises are under CCTV surveillance to control unethical incidents. The library has Wi-Fi connectivity to provide the Internet as well as e-Resource facilities to its users. The present Library stock comprises 1,12,006 books, 318 professional Indian and foreign journals and magazines, 557 back volumes of journals, 10211 Ph.D. theses, 760 CD, 12 Newspapers, 216 Govt. publications, press clippings since 2008.
Auditorium: The auditorium with a capacity of 1000 provides the students with a platform to unmask their hidden talents. It is fully air-conditioned and has separate rooms and other basic facilities for conducting special programs like convocation, national and international level conferences, and many other academic and cultural events.

Honest Opinion About Where I learnt.

Likes

It had a very well put up infrastructure that made being there comfortable.
Teachers were so good and qualified, great faculty.
All of the resources were easily accessible and no pressure on students.

No proper management in administration for any kind of help to us.
Teachers lacked accountability and responsiveness
No pressure on students to study or to perform not even attendance matters

What does student says about college

There were no extra curriculars done within our college that much, the decision was purely based on my prior studies. There are very less aspects where I can possibly utilise the knowledge I attained there. There should be a blueprint of the syllabus and the workload of students. 6 months and it was okay

Yearly fees structure of the college

1- I paid 11,500/- per year as fees. 2- 5,500/- was the tution fee and rest were others. 3- Reserved Category students paid less like 7,500/- only 4- no scholarship or aids were provided. Also there were no extra fees and charges but only 100? for the examination forms were taken.

Annual fest and various activity in the campus

There were no such annual or technical festivals held in our college , just an annual meet and greet on the college day. The library consisted of some good range of books varying from literature to academic and novels too. The classrooms were not up to the mark there were no facilities rather than some fans and bulbs. There used to be student election earlier but it quashed and such things stopped happining then.

Student views on the faculty

There was a huge gap in the ratio of faculty to students it' was like 1 on 100 students. They were good at relationships with us and all. Mohd. Zakir and Shyam Gupta Sir were the best out there. Salman Naik Was the one I didn't liked he was arrogant and nothing like friendly. Almost everyone cleared the exams except a few.

College competence

I applied for some other colleges like Delhi University and Lucknow University, But also this college was near my residence so I decided to fill up the form too, But I lost my seat in DU with some marks and then eventually decided to be here only that was closer for me to access.

Night Life

Yeah there was Lounges DC, The Evren and some others with gyms like COBRA, The unique fitness and Health forever. There were only few hostels around the college, with timings upto 8p.m. There are no such hangout places rather than some cafes and shops. Nothing more. No it's not safe in night to roam around.

I applied for Delhi University and B.H.U but because of the delay in cuet results, I took admission in VBSPU, which's best universities in my area, basically in Jaunpur. Its main campus. Vbspu takes the entrance exam for admission cutoff change every after the counselling, you get admission according to your rank and state.

There are more then 6000 students inrolled
I love environment friendly green compus

Dislikes

Outside the college no any good shop where you bought any things in good quality
This is so for from the main road. It is near about 500 m from main road
No Wifi campus it is only in show off that

college campus is very beautiful and greenery is present all over th campus
library , sports and other curricular activities are also available here

Dislikes

in college campus college should provide students with wifi facilities but here wifi facility is not available
college should take steps to limit politics in campus. Boys especially are way more involved in politics and other stuffs
college should work on its infrastructure more. Deskz and classes needs improvement now

Admission:

I choose this college because it is near to my house. I applied for many other colleges but I get rejected so I took admission in this college If you want to take admission you need to give an offline entrance examination of this college if you clear the cut off then you get admission here

Location is also good and also safe for students.
Campus life is average just no event no fun activities,but yes teachers are friendly, supportive, helping.

Dislikes

I would recommend this college just for under graduate students only,for pg would not recommend this college!

There is not test, are needed for addmission, direct addmission are done.more than 60% of the students in our college are placed in different domains.the candidates are doing internships in various companies.

My campus life was so simple and seperated from social interaction cause I don't like being in crowd
I Like combined class of both boys and girls there was no gender discrimination

A practical journey through Microtek college - Real Experience and Insights.

Admission:

I applied to a few reputaed institutions like Lucknow University and integral for BBA and also got a confirmed admission offer from SRMU. However i choose Microtek mainly due to it's affordable fee structure, knowledgeable academic environment and proximity to home. I didn't make it to LU due to high cutoff in the entrance exam. The admission process at Microtek was straightforward. It required minimum 50% in 12th grade( any stream) and no mandatory entrance exam. Admission process involved filling a form, document verification, and simple introductory. Most students preferred direct merit based entry and there were no fixed cutoffs so my overall admission process experience was smooth.

Is there any specific subject required in a BA for doing a B Ed in VBSPU?

Dikhsa RoyPGT Biology at Kendriya Vidyalaya (2019)

No, there is no such prerequisite for doing a B.Ed. Main line of studies like B.Sc, B.A, and B.Com are meant for gaining knowledge in that particular field. Whereas, B.Ed or anything related to education is meant for executing teaching methods, learning psychology of students.

You may get Social Science or English as the main subject in B.Ed.
