About TMBU
Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) was formerly known as Bhagalpur University. Established in 1960, TMBU is sprawled over areas of 264 acres, this pedagogical university has 12 constituent colleges, 25 affiliated colleges Govt. funded, and 4 research institutes. The hardship of the teaching members and students has bagged ‘Grade B’ accreditation from NAAC. The university has a whole number of 130000 students in the UG curriculum and in the PG program, there are 6200 students.
TMBU offers admission to a number of courses at UG, PG, Doctoral domains. This state university has a total number of 34 Departments under which the university offers traditional courses together with professional ones. TMBU Application Process 2023
Candidates willing to get admission to any of the courses in TMBU can apply online through the Online Admissions Portal. As the university keeps the application procedure online. The below steps will enlight the application process:
- Aspires should visit the official website of the university
- Students must access the Admissions Portal on the website to apply
- Fill in the respective application form with the necessary academic and personal details
- Submit the application form along with making a payment of the required Application Fee of INR 165
- The authority will release a Merit List of the shortlisted candidates
- Candidates who have been selected for admission are required to visit the campus with all the required documents and certificates and submit them along with the filled-in Application Form.
TMBU Placements
TMBU has a training & placement cell that works dedicatedly for the betterment of the students. The cell takes care of the activities and ensures that the aspirants are placed in the proper industry. Apart from this, the institute also arranges seminars, guest lectures, conferences, pep talks, corporate meets, personality development & communication skill programs and counseling sessions to make the students placement-ready. Many leading companies visited campus for placement such as Accenture, Deloitte, Global Banks, Nestle, KPMG, PWC, etc are the top recruiters of the institute. The highest packages are ranged from INR 2.75 Lakhs to INR 4 Lakhs. Other than placements the university offers summer internships after the 1st year of the course with a stipend of around INR 50000 per month.

TMBU Scholarships
The university provides various scholarships to the economically poor background students who hail from the reservation categories are eligible to get a scholarship if they secure a 75% in 10+2 level. Students coming from Minority communities are eligible to get a scholarship if they secure a 75% at 10+2 level. Students whose parents serve /have served in the military are eligible for a scholarship. Besides, the university sponsors a scholarship under the sports quota and for physically challenged students.

TMBU Facilities
- Library: The Central Library of the institute has a huge stock of books. The library consists of a total number of 154928 books, 8050 theses, 323 journals, 485 magazines, and 10233 books in the reference section. The library includes an e-resource section too.
- Hostel: The university provides an accommodation facility together with modern amenities, wifi facility, mess, and several others. There are 4 boys’ hostels and 3 girls’ hostels. The hostel fee for boys’ is INR 1.50K - INR 2.40K and the fee for girls’ is INR 2.40K.
- Sports: The university has excellent sports facilities with a 3500 sq. ft. area. The university annually conducts Inter College Tournaments, Sports Convocation, Participation in Inter ‘Varsity Matches, and a lot more programs to encourage the students. There are facilities for Badminton, Kho Kho, Volleyball, Cricket, Kabaddi, Chess & Yoga.

I didn't applied to many colleges other than the college I'm studying right now. Because it was my first choice at that time although it is not the best college of university but I don't know why I choose this college. But at the end of the day I don't regret it so much afterall everything falls on place after some time.

It takes 3 years to complete a bachelor's degree The form will be provided in college we have to fill it out and submit there. After a 1-2 month cutoff is provided the reservation is there but I think it helps many backward students to get back into their studies. In the admission area where there are boys' lines no proper facilities are there not even a fan

- The quality of infrastructure not good average. Lots of building are old and dirty, washroom are uncleaned

There is no entrance exam here, admission is done on the basis of merit, during my time the cutoff was 60% . You will get all the information related to admission by applying on the university website tmbu.ac.in ,There are also reservation benefits according to caste. I would just like to suggest that the admission process should be made online.

Firstly you have to passed 12th standard from any of the college's..like board can't matter here ...but you have to score 60% above in your 12th standard then you can get the admission in this college.. Application form can distribute in the college in the bba departments..the fees of the form is 500 rupees.. My suggestion was that college have to provide the application form on the online site of the college
