There are a lot of free facilities for students, Free bus in campus , free medical facilities with free medicines at health center .
BHU has a very large campus and it's very beautiful adored by greenery

Admission:

BHU is a very reputed university and getting admission in it is considered good especially among locals. I did appear for counselling of DU and got into north campus since my score for DU was 746/800 ,but the main reason for getting admission in BHU was it's affordablility and it's name which was also preferred by my family. The admission process was not very complex but time taking ( be prepared with all the documents), you get into BHU Faculty of commerce through CUET the first round cutoff for my year was 505 which depends on the difficulty level of paper , this year it was around 548 in first round and decreases accordingly .

An overview of Banaras Hindu University

The campus provides bus service for a students and a mail have different and it is free of cost and it carries everywhere all around the campus and it is one thing that I like about the facility and apart from that rickshaws are also available .
The free health Care facilities are also available to the students at the health centre and sir sunderlal hospital
The central library situated here offers a wide range of books very ancient to modern Times including various fields and various subjects which are taught in the university the cyber library is opened 24/7 .

Dislikes

If girls room outside at night people start teasing them from outside the camp specially maize their really creepy
The infrastructure of by commerce faculty is really poor

Admission:

Banaras Hindu University has some problems like slow paper work, old building in some parts and things taking time to get fixed but still there something special about it. The campuses big and peaceful and you meet student from all over India which makes the experience interesting .Even though the system isn't perfect like a BHU teachers you a lot not just from book but from people and moments. There are fests,group studies, late night chai and walk under the tree that you will remember for long time. I didn't applied for any other colleges because I really love Banaras in the university and it was my dream college. Exam expected for the Banaras Hindu University admission is CET and general category the cutoff is high above 500.

There is also a councellor available for students well being.
The infrastructure is beautifully built .

Admission:

I just applied for BHU and not any other colleges because of BHU legacy and good name. It is also an affordable I got selected in my first cut off round and the process of admission is not very complex. First we are required to give the coet exams held by NDA and according to the scores we get admitted to our particular faculties. After that we are allotted hostels and have to come for document verification and after confirmation we are admitted.

Seeing the Banaras Hindu University through an open window

Likes

The scope it provides is also excellent with wide range of books at the central library and free health care facilities available to students at health centre.
Low fees is an exceptional incentive for students who are in need of better higher studies at low cost along with the reputation of the university.

Dislikes

Not that much big campus but pretty anyways.
Library has a bit old stock of books and are not updated hence not much useful.

Admission:

The admission process has been pretty simple and I guess I would not prefer any other college over this because when he was facilities which are available and apart from that it requires good marks to carry admission in it

BHU is known for its campus, and it is top notch. It is spread across almost 1300 acres and is full of greenery.

The university takes admission through an all-India test called CUET, conducted by UGC every year. You need to take the test in the required domain as per the eligibility citeria of the course you are interested in opting. I choose this university because of its prestige and legacy, it is quite affordable as well. I was fortunate enough to get admission there.

The college has all the basic amenities. We have gym, game courts, elevators, a lot of washrooms.

The college doesn't have societies, like theater society, literature society.

I didn't apply to any other colleges than this, and I chose this college, because it has a good reputation, teaching staff is fine, the fees structure is good. Other colleges of bhu may differ in these terms. Bhu provides good status, career opportunities, and other opportunities too.

Although BHU has the best faculty and management, many students tend to leave BHU after a few days. They feel isolated and homesick. Also, the teachers have a lot of political influence. The administration does not let you take a stand for yourself. A lot of inter students riots take place here.

Also, BHU has a sustaining hierarchy and preferential treatment that seeps down to the education part as well. Ex-students become professors without external exposure. So they bring much lesser value in terms of ethics, fair marking, and admission system.

I think these are some minor reasons why students keep leaving BHU after admission.

What is the Paid Seat system at Banaras Hindu University (BHU)?

The paid seats system is a system for students who wanted to get admission to Banaras Hindu University but were unable to secure the qualifying ranks. In such a case, he/she can choose to pay the extra fee which is called the Paid seat system. These seats are available up to 5-10 seats in all courses and are reserved as paid seats. This is for those students who got a good rank but missed the campus seat with a very less difference in index.

Procedure

Fill in the paid seat form online or during the counseling process. Paid seats are available both for the main campus and affiliated colleges.
Your chances of getting the paid seats to work on the number of available seats and your index rank. For instance, if the cutoff is 280, and your marks are in the range of 270-279 you can secure your admission to the campus.
The portal will release the result and you can check it on the concerned day.

Fees structure

Paid seats cost extra fees in addition to the semester fees. For example, if your course fee is Rs. 2000 and your paid seat fee is Rs. 25000 so the total fees for the semester will be INR 27000 but the fees for next semester will be the same as a regular seat.

How is mechanical engineering at IIT (BHU)?

My cousin was a student at IIT BHU in Varanasi. She shared her experience as to why she thinks it’s not a good branch for Mechanical Engineering.

The professors are under qualified here. They have little knowledge about their own subjects and teach only bookish concepts. The classes are boring.
Students attend classes merely for attendance. This is because even if you score good marks, you might fail if your attendance is less than 75% in that particular subject.
The numerical answers are not checked through the stepwise method. That is your method to solve has no value if your answer is wrong.
Professors here are not well versed with the relative grading system. This affects the CGPA of many students.
Placements are mediocre here. Only non core sectors like coding and analytics get placement opportunities. The salaries offered are also very low.
Labs are not equipped with modern tools. The students get no practical exposure.

The conclusion from her experience was that the professors in Mechanical Engineering at Varanasi IIT are bringing down the results of students terribly.

How good it is to do MBA from faculty of commerce BHU?

At BHU, MBA is a good option as it provides a lot of quality placement opportunities. But your own efforts to acquire knowledge of the corporate world matter the most. You cannot just complete a course and expect to be placed at an MNC. You have to be ambitious and put in maximum effort.

Some key points to be considered if you want to avail good placement opportunities are:

BHU holds seminars at both national and international levels. By attending these, you can upgrade your resume for the better.
If you are pursuing MBA Financial Management you must complete NISM (SEBI) and NCFM (NSE) Certifications which will give you practical knowledge of the share market.
In this tech-savvy era, even MBA students should be well versed in Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint Presentation, and Tally.
Creating an impressive CV requires- at least 2 internships at reputed companies, certifications from NISM, NCFM, NPTEL, SWAYAM and participation in national seminars.
Practice well for the interview
Make the best use of your free time. Do as many internships as possible. Gaining a lot of experience will help you in the long run and you won’t regret investing your free time.

What is the value of doing BHU BSc Math Honours?

My sister’s friend could not score a good rank in engineering but was lucky enough to get a seat in BHU UET for Maths Hons.

She shared her experience that this was the best decision of her life as she felt unique. She made a lot of memories and befriended many talented people.

She lived her college life to her fullest extent. From hostels to backlogs, she experienced all the fun. Despite creating hundreds of memories, today her batchmates are in IITs, 10% in IISc Banglore, 15% in IISERs, and 10% in IIMs. The others are booming in their own fields.

What is the future of LLM from IIT Kharagpur? Is it better than other LLM colleges

I will not suggest you to join RGSOIPL, IIT Kharagpur because of a number of reasons

RGSOIPL still has a two-year programme while most Law Schools have changed the duration of the program to one year only. Wasting an additional year is not worth it.
The LLM program lacks the necessary coursework and relevancy of the curriculum mainly because the administration has zero knowledge about specializations.
The faculty is focused on the flagship program that is LLB and hardly cares about LLM students. It also lacks the necessary skills to teach the program effectively.
The institution does not permit students to opt for internships during vacations rather want them to work in their sponsored projects.

I would suggest you choose premier institutes for LLM such as - BHU, AMU, DU, NLSIU, NUJS, NALSAR.

Does BHU conduct their own entrance exam for MBA?

The “Institute of Management Studies” which was previously known as FMS, or Faculty of Management Studies, and a “Faculty of Commerce”, offers MBA with different specializations.

Appearing in CAT exams is mandatory for candidates if they want to get admission in the Institute of Management Studies, BHU.
The institute takes the scores of CAT exams into consideration in order to shortlist the ones who meet the criteria for admission.
MBA and MBA in International Business are two of the flagship courses offered by BHU.
BHU conducts its own entrance exams called PET in the month of May for admission in the Faculty of Commerce.
For various reasons, an MBA from the Institute of Management Studies is better than an MBA from the Faculty of Commerce.

MBA in Agribusiness is affiliated with IM-BHU or the Institute of Management Studies but it runs in the south campus of BHU which is in Barkachha. Candidates have to appear for the PET entrance exam for admission.

Yes, BHU is one of the top universities for pursuing an MBBS degree. The Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU), Varanasi, was ranked 6th by India Today, 7th by IIRF, and 2nd by Outlook in 2023 in the field of medicine. Admissions to this course are based on marks obtained in NEET UG. The university has three main faculties including medicine, dental sciences, and Ayurveda. BHU MBBS is offered under the faculty of medicine and is a full-time five-year undergraduate course.

IMS BHU has a huge campus with various facilities like a hospital, hostels, a post office, sports fields, and playgrounds. A hospital is located on the campus for hands-on experience for its medical students.
