My college has good teaching method, it's very interactive. The classes are really effective, they provide opportunities for presentations, and group activities too.
The college's fees is quite minimal, and if someone is from a special category, then they are provided some help too. We ac avail scholarship opportunities too.
The college has all the basic amenities. We have gym, game courts, elevators, a lot of washrooms.

Dislikes

The college doesn't have societies, like theater society, literature society.
The college doesn't provide good placements.
The teaching staff can be a bit rude sometimes.

Admission:

I didn't apply to any other colleges than this, and I chose this college, because it has a good reputation, teaching staff is fine, the fees structure is good. Other colleges of bhu may differ in these terms. Bhu provides good status, career opportunities, and other opportunities too.

I had like the environment of campus

They not giving any self development activities..
The facilty was not provided any notice on the time

I had choosen this college because of the quality education and another reason is because this college is close to my area as compare to other college . Through cuet ug exam I had got admission here and after the counselling procedure my admission got confirmed

What makes the Asia's biggest residential university one of the best?

Likes

The experienced faculty of the college. You'll get one of the best teachers in India.
The campus is surrounded with greenery and is very vast.
Students get free healthcare facilities in the student health centre.

Dislikes

Its not about the college particularly but the temperature of the city is quite excessive especially the summers become unbearable in May- June.
There are limited seats in hostels especially the girls' hostels.

Admission:

I applied in the Central University of South Bihar for the same course and got selected there too. The reason for choosing Banaras Hindu University over Central University of South Bihar was that CUSB was comparatively newer than BHU. BHU has a well established name in the field of law. Its location is also very spiritual and the people are very nice over here. The lush green and vast campus of BHU gives it edge of CUSB. Plus the faculty of BHU is definitely better than CUSB. The admission process is very simple. If you have cleared the cutoff then you have to pay the course fees. You'll be called for document verification, there will be induction programme and you're done.

I like the fact that BHU is the top ranked central university and is considered the largest residential campus of Asia.
The campus is very green that you don't feel the high temperatures you feel outside the campus its very good environment.
The faculties are very professional and very highly qualified and experienced.

Dislikes

There are construction works going on in campus so there is sometimes dirt and dust on roads and in air.
The fact that BHU is a govt college so there may be some delays in official works sometimes I get annoyed with the system
Not everyone gets hostel inside the campus so they might have to travel a lot for classes and may get exhausted.

There are many other agricultural universities in India including iari that are considered the aiims of agriculture but the fact that BHU offers other activities also like sports and music, dance, athelete and many more things that help to develop your overall persona rather than just relying on grades and scores. Definitely iari is good but the course of bachelors is comparatively new there being 3 years old it started back in 2022 only, i would say iari is good for masters and PhD but for bachelors there is not a single competition of bhu in India. You've to give CUET as the entrance exam for bhu agriculture if you're an Indian and you've 55% score in your 12th with subject combination pcb,pcm or abc then you're eligible. Cutoff is definitely high for bhu as it is the top ranked university in India so you've to work accordingly. After exam results are out the admission process is so smooth.

A decent campus life, with scope of improvement

The faculty are very serious specially for the bsc. Courses and there are regular practical classes for bsc students labs are well equipped
The campus is so soothing, you can roam around the campus to get mental piece and also mostly faculties are very friendly
Students are from various states and it doesn't create any racist remarks or anything all are very friendly

Dislikes

Specially for bsc students, schedule is so hectic that we can't get more time to enjoy in different cultural programs
Also bsc students can't even participate in different societies or clubs because again there schedule is so hectic and academic stress is more
The canteen is not good. there is no variety at all

Admission:

The eligibility criteria for my course bsc (botany hons) is to have pcb in your 12th and then to give CUET exam, after clearing the exam you will get allotted into the different biology courses according to your cuet marks. The cutoff for bsc is higher than arts. Then you have to verify physically in the college for admission process before that you have to register for the course online and the registration fees is 500/- I have also applied in Delhi University but i didn't chose because of cost living. As living in Delhi is so much expensive as compared to here also the campus life is more exciting here and the facilities provided here is more. The best facility is health centre where students get treatment and medicine free.

Bhu Review

Likes

It is the most reputed college. You will get a big campus life
The college is full of greens. It is located in the central city pf Varanasi so everything is more or less accesible
The professor's are well Knowledged . Every professor has a doctorate degree so you will get to know many things from them.

Dislikes

They have minimum fests. The placement opportunities is comparatively minimal because it is a Central University but placement do come

Admission:

The admission process is based on your cuet marks and trust me the 10th/12th or equivalent degree doesn't really matters. The minimum criteria is obviously more than 50% but the whole focus is on cuet marks. The cut offs are different for different courses it might go high like(270-180/300)as in my course or might get too low because of the difficulty level obviously (200-150/300) or maybe based on the seats left . But if you crack it you will obviously get a chance to be in the most reputed college.

I like my college

Likes

Faculty is amazing and have the best professors
Campus have everything for any hobbies of every students
Beautiful environment and its open for every one for visiting purposes

Dislikes

Internet accessibility is very bad inside campus
Too much crowded areas because of tourist visiting
Sometimes civilians becomes too much annoying

This college is very renowned college amongst all of rest colleges i got . Like i got Delhi University too but the faculty and the campus of this college is far better then DU . The environment of this college is far better then every other colleges

Once upon a time in BHU

Likes

The most beautiful thing in Banaras Hindu University is that environment of this university is very good. It's campus beauty is adorable.
Professor of this university are so friendly.They always treat us as their own son/daughter. They also helps us in extracurricular activities.
The main thing is that here all faculty and departments students live together without any distinction.

Dislikes

Anything that I don't like in this campus is crowded place like VT and some places like madhuban park etc.
Second thing is here medical facilities for student in Sir Sunderlal hospital.
Besides it all other things in Banaras Hindu University is veru appreciable.

Admission:

I had applied for many other universities like JNU,DU AU but I prefer BHU for many reasons. 1. Distance from by home to university is near. 2. Since childhood I wanted to study here . 3.I read about this university in newspaper which made me more excited to get admission in it. Other universities are as good as it is but they are so far from my village so I didn't choose them. I got rejected by JNU and DU due to my less marks in entrance examination.To get admission in this university following procedure is given. 1. Give entrance exam. 2. Envolve in counseling process if you feel that your entrance marks are enough to get admission in this university according to cutoff of the specific course in which you applied for. 3. After this you will receive a call latter from university for acceptance your admission. 4. After completing your payment offered by college your admission is confirmed.In BHU most applied course are Bsc,Ba,Bsc bio,Bsc ag etc. If you are completed you 12th with 55 % minimum then you are eligible to get enrolled in this course. Cutoff of this university is moderate compared to other universities.

This is what you expect from BHU

Likes

The ratio of Boys and girls around 5:4 ratio.
The best thing thing of the college is their environment.
In Banaras Hindu University the each and every department has their seperate buliding. So things thing can be taken place far from ragging and disputes in the college between two departments.

Dislikes

I am not saying the thing which i write it's demerit of BHu but the area of the college was to vast so if you want to go libiand other places then you cover a lots of distance.
The one more think I dislike about Banaras Hindu University is their classes was not running properly.
Because of the teachers in the college was highly reputed so they attend lots of programs and fest so they impact on class.

Admission:

The Banaras Hindu University is theone of top college in india and their comparision to the other colleges is not good because of all colleged have their own speciality. In Banaras Hindu University it's famous for their health environment, large area and best faculty members.

I choose Banaras Hindu University as the ranking of the college is very good as compared with other college. If I compare it with othe college then there comes with lack of faculty, facilities, small campus, placements are not good. I have applied for Chandigarh University, Delhi University, Mithi bai College but I found bhu with the largest campus as compared with them
