In 2011, a Placement Coordination Cell (PCC) was established in BHU to take full responsibility for placements of the entire university (except IIT/IMS). This body has improved the placement drives at BHU to a large extent. BHU is now visited by reputed firms for recruitment. As far as CTC is concerned, nearly 18% to 20% of students were placed this year. The highest salary was 4.5 LPA. The lowest salary was 3.5 LPA and the average salary was 4.2 LPA.

An overview of Banaras Hindu University

Placement Experience:

Mostly students do masters and other course like ca cs after bachelors. In final years the students become eligible for campus placement. Companies that visited for placement are HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank ,Wipro, LIC ,SBI . The average package is around 3 to 5 lakh per annum . Highest highest package offered to faculty of Commerce student is around 40 lakh per annum by Aditya Birla and federal Bank. Around 20% students get placed each year with average starting package of around 3 to 5 lakh. I have planned for masters after the degree

The course b.sc. agriculture is very effective in overall shaping my personality and career in a very good way that even if I don't want to get placed i still have several opportunities for earning like self employment skills.

Students get placed in starting of 4th year that is 7th semester. The companies that often visit are pradhan co.pvt.ltd, seed companies and drone companies also companies like Nestle and britannia visit for placements. Highest ctc in 2025 was 19LPA and the avg was 7.5 LPA these data are also available on nirf site. Nearly 30% students get placed because remaining prefer higher studies over placement, those who are financially weak consider placement. My plans are different, I'm preparing for CAT and want to persue mba in agribusiness management from iim ahmedabad or iim lucknow.

WHY I CHOOSE BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY

In Banaras Hindu University placements in science department starts form fourth year. Only some experimantal companies come and also some educational platform like -BUYJS, ALLEN, PHYSICS WALLAH, UNACADEMY etc. Average package is 4-5 lacas per annum. almost 30 persantage get palcement. I will do P.hd. in Physics.

Glimpses of Banaras Hindu University

According to the talk I have with my seniors the ratio of 3to5 students get placed in the most reputable companies and the average package is of between 5 to 10 lakh it's basically depend on your ability and dedication towards your academy excellence performance grades marks all over. Also I don't have that much known as about the placement because I am the student of 1st year but I can tell you that the campus placement is done in the last year of the graduation and the internships that the student gets is in the second and third year both.
