I did honours in economics. I think the course is designed in a nice way. Students will find it very helpful if they decide to pursue economics for further studies. BHU only offers BA hons. There are two faculties - faculty of social science and faculty of Arts. Under social sciences: First and second year- three subjects (two exams of each subject) + ancillary (one exam of chosen subject) + language (hindi in first year & english in second) Under Arts: First and second year- three chosen subjects ( two exams of each subject) In both social sciences and Arts, only the subject you're pursuing honours in is taught in third year. Many colleges and universities offer placement after economics honours but here no such opportunities are given to students.

Because I am interested in studying economics and I love spending time with analysis of those theories in our day-to-day life. The difference between professors and students is huge. Something around 50:2. Mostly our professors have done a PhD. And they all teach in just a common way nothing very special. They just give us 2 months for covering that whole syllabus of a semester it's a little bit hectic but not very tough.
I've chosen it because of library facilities are good. There is the central library as well as a cyber library. The libraries are quite a pin-drop silence. In master courses, the intake is about 100 for each course. The faculty members are helpful for any kind of help. All faculty members are qualified NET GRF examination & their teaching processes are too good for me. All classrooms have computer projector facilities. In a year, exams are conducted in two semesters. The passing mark is 33%. Follow the past year's questions papers and listen carefully to the lectures etc.
The main reason behind opting for this course is university teaching methodology and career orientation thinking. Faculty studeNt ration is 20:1. All the faculty is highly educated and knowledgeable they talk about every aspect of knowledge and the way they are elaborating topic and economics related news. University is very punctual towards his time table they conduct the exam on time and never been late. You can pass out easily if you having tentative in class.
The couse fee is ?6240 annually for normal seat. The mode of payment is online. And the college provide transparency in the fee-breakdown. According to me the fee is very nominal and affordable. The staff is friendly and soft spoken so they clear all our doubts about the fee submission process.
Nominal government fees less than 10,000 annual.Fees structure is little bit higher than the BHU fees for the same course. It is feasible.and suits every students. No any extra fees for cultural programs or anything.
Feasible as this University is a central deemed University and this is India's 3rd ranked university.I think in comparison of similar colleges the fee structure is very much low, there is a reason behind it, our university is a government body. That's why it has a low fee structure. In one word I can say it very much feasible for the low income group of students.
